In the early evening, two riders arrived. I spotted them even before they could announce them.

"You're getting ahead of yourself, we have to get there first. But you can have a bath, hopefully it will be ready when we get there, I made sure of that." I said and helped her get back into the carriage.
I swung up behind her and only now noticed the two maids, who were tapping their eyes to their feet in a pleading manner.
"I'll ride with my wife alone, get in the other one." I challenged them when they were not about to leave and waited for them to disappear. I sat down and pulled her into my arms just as the carriage moved forward.
She leaned against me contentedly and began to tell me about all what had happened in my absence.
"I don't want to hear it now, I've missed you so much." I interrupted her, looking at her with undeniable interest. She kissed my cheek and contentedly snuggled closer to me. Before I could realize what I was doing, I was kissing her on the mouth and trying to get under all those skirts to her bare thighs.
