Standing next to the water tank, Professor Tywin tapped the glass with his wand.
"Stopping Grindylows is easy, just make sure they don't grab you and use the Pulling Charm.
But remember, you've got to really mean it for the spell to work."
"Oh, come on, Mr. Wolf, don't give me that unsure look," Professor Tywin said quietly.
"You've definitely got the Talent for this."
Slytherin and Ravenclaw, in my opinion, are the top houses at Hogwarts.
We've seen many outstanding wizards emerge from these two houses.
The Slytherin students wore smirks as Professor Tywin spoke further: "If you happen to fail,
there's no need to worry. With me around, believe me when I say that nothing will be ever able to harm you."
"Alright, let's start by talking about the spell. Can anyone tell?"
"Evanescere," the entire class chorused together.
"Excellent," Professor Tywin nodded. "However, that's just the basics. Remember, the spell alone won't do it.
It's on you now, Judy."
Judy Crouch approached, trembling not from fear, but from excitement.
Tywin stood beside Judy, emitting a strong, pungent perfume.
The water tank vibrated once more, a distant roar echoing from within.
Taking his dark wand, Tywin asked softly, "Alright, Judy, feeling scared?"
With a blush, the girl shook her head, her freckled face resembling a cracked dragon fruit from afar.
Professor Tywin uttered, "Then, I shall unlock the water tank."
Judy's hands trembled, a hint of fear creeping in.
Yet, she held her ground, reassured by the professor's presence by her side.
A flash of green light shot from the ebony wand as the water tank jolted, its top flap sliding open.
Emerging first were green horns, followed by a sickly figure pressing its face against the glass, contorting its features and extending its slender claws.
The Grindylow emerged slowly, its odd-shaped head and twisted claws making an eerie sight.
It let out a thunderous roar, its breath smelling foul, showing off rows of yellow teeth like sharp steel needles painted over.
William's roommate, Marcos Belby, shook visibly, his flushed face indicating both fear and a bold idea brewing in his wide eyes.
Judy Crouch stood still, seemingly stunned by the scene, unmoving amid the unfolding chaos.
Professor Tywin said softly, "Judy, don't be afraid, I'm here, hold your wand!"
As the professor's words echoed, Judy gathered her courage,
raising her wand, her expression a mix of determination and nervousness.
The Grindylow advanced aggressively, its claws extending like a vine's whip.
Meanwhile, Marina forcefully pulled William's arm, with her grip so tight she can crack some walnuts.
However, there were no walnuts but just William's bones, making him feel it will break any second.
"Evanescere!" Judy screamed.
A crack echoed through the air, akin to a whip's sound,
causing confusion to wash over Grindylow's face as one of its long fingers vanished into thin air.
Losing it's balance, it tumbled to the ground with a resounding snap, its remaining claws flailing awkwardly, making william remember Snape lying in a hospital bed ready to deduct points.
"Arthur, step up!" Professor Tywin shouted out.
Arthur stepped forward, wearing a sullen expression as Grindylow slid to his side, almost like ice skating, extending its claws once more.
The claws emitted a green, crystal glow.
"Evanescere!" Arthur shouted.
Another explosion resounded, shattering another of Grindylow's claws.
People continued stepping up, dismantling Grindylow's one after another,
until he was completely decapitated, prompting Professor Tywin to fetch another from the water tank.
Professor Tywin warned loudly, "Be careful where you aim that spell; it's really dangerous.
I once accidentally undressed a wizard, and another time, I nearly..."
But before he could finish, something went wrong.
Judy Crouch, who was the first to cast the spell, whether due to excitement or overconfidence, rushed forward.
She aimed her wand at Grindylow, with professor Tywin behind.
"Evanescere!"—well, looks like she wanted to test for herself if what the professor said about disrobing was true or a story.
Just like what Tywin did to an unknown wizard.
The wizard's judgment wasn't great, especially for an adrenaline pumped 11 year old wizard.
Professor Tywin could have never anticipated this turn of events, as his attention was fixated on Cho, to call her for the next demonstration.
A brilliant light shot through the gap between Grindylow's claws, heading directly for Tywin.
The blast hit the base of his thigh precisely.
A peculiar, excruciating sensation, akin to lightning, surged from Professor Tywin's thigh down to his calf, as if his bones were being stolen.
Gasps echoed as Professor Tywin lost the bone in his right leg,
unable to stand, he fell on the ground, with his ebony wand rolling across the floor..
Tywin's leg didn't throb with pain, but it felt utterly foreign, like it was not his legs but some skin coloured pants he was wearing.
Attempting to move his thighs yielded no response.
"Heh..." Professor Tywin let out a reluctant smile.
"This is another outcome of what I was mentioning, It might also disappear's you bones."
Judy Crouch was once again struck with fear,
and Professor Tywin refrained from offering any words of reassurance.
It seemed like he had enough of her nonsense now.
Lying on the ground, Professor Tywin was encircled by the first years, but no one came up to help him.
Furiously, he snapped, "Alright, someone, get me to the hospital! Madam Pomfrey can—"
"what"!
A sharp, piercing sound akin to a dolphin suddenly sounded.
Everyone had ignored the Grindylow.
It sneaked on the ground and moved, and when the distance was short enough,
It suddenly attacked the nearest pair of students Cho and Marietta.
Marietta panicking, screamed, and waved her wand indiscriminately
Luckily, William moved swiftly; otherwise, the sturdy walnut wand might have ended up slapping his face.
The magical abilities of young wizards are highly unstable and reactive.
Significant mood swings can easily trigger magical outbursts,
an experience almost all young wizards encounter before attending Hogwarts.
So, when Marietta witnessed Grindylow charging at her, a magical outburst happened.
The water tank burst suddenly, glasses shattering on the ground.
Though seemingly small, the tank's space had been expanded using the space Charm, containing six Grindylows within.
With claws bared, they crawled out of the tank, fixing a vicious glare on the 1st years.
Faced with such a horrifying sight, the young wizards screaming, pushing and sprinting towards the door in a panicked attempt to escape.
Professor Tywin layed on the ground, with a dumb grin, his expensive robe marked with numerous footprints.
He nearly became the first Hogwarts professor to be trampled to death.
