Professor Tywin stood at the podium, observing the gathered first years.

"The wizarding world can be a dangerous place, especially during the time when the Dark Lord and his Death Eaters wreaked havoc over a decade ago," he began.

A hushed silence fell over the room.

"But, as you all know, the Dark Lord was defeated by Harry Potter," Professor Tywin continued in an unexpected tone.

"However, beyond that, there exists various dark creatures and magical beings, all of which have the power to kill you."

"Similar to Professor Robert, who met his end in the Devil's Snare within the Forbidden Forest," Professor Tywin added solemnly.

His words captivated the attention of everyone in the room, and the previous squeaking of the chair vanished completely.

Professor Tywin nodded, satisfied. The noise level within the classroom was always a telling indicator of how attentive the students were during the lesson.

"Today, I'll be demonstrating effective spells to handle various dark and magical creatures," Professor Tywin announced.

"Please put away your books and follow me. All you'll need is your wand for today's lesson," he instructed.

Curious glances were exchanged among the students as they complied, stashing away their books.

They had never experienced a Defense Against the Dark Arts practical lesson before, and the prospect seemed both thrilling and intense.

Walking alongside Professor Tywin, they turned a corner and came face to face with Peeves.

Peeves, the poltergeist at Hogwarts, floated midair, holding a balloon-like object made of a strange rubbery material and filled with a lot of liquid.

The rubber balloon's quality was impressive. Despite containing five or six liters of liquid, it showed no sign of bursting.

As Professor Tywin approached within two meters of Peeves, the mischievous spirit lifted his head, waggled his crooked feet, and released his throat to belt out a song.

"Naughty, naughty Tywin," Peeves sang, "roaming the halls at night, creeping—"

Peeves was always impolite and rude, though he typically showed some respect towards the teachers.

All eyes swiftly shifted to Professor Tywin, waiting forhis reaction or, more precisely, his approach to the situation.

Tywin smiled and remarked, "If I were in your shoes, Peeves, I'd throw that slush mixed with the oversized dung in the balloon, outside Hogwarts."

It was as if they were facing some dangerous biochemical weapons...

In a cautious move, everyone stepped back about five meters to avoid getting splattered by the repulsive mix!l.

Tywin continued cheerfully, "Poor Mr. Filch isn't able to use magic, so he wouldn't be able to clean up such a mess, would he?"

Unable to use magic? Wasn't that the definition of a squib?

The buzz among the crowd intensified, particularly among the Slytherin students.

They hadn't expected filch to be a squib with his rude behaviour, he never made anyone able to realise his inability to use magic.

William even picked up on a bit of sneering laughter.

Professor Tywin pulled out his ebony wand, turned around, and said, "This spell is really useful, and it's also something I want to show you."

"Take a good look." He held his wand at chest level, demonstrating a few important moves for everyone to see. Once they got a clear view, he swiftly said, "Reducto!"

The four balloons popped with a bang, but rather than splattering everywhere,

the thick liquid elegantly followed Tywin's wand movements, forming a beautiful arc and drenching Peeves entirely.

Peeves hurriedly ascended into the sky, shouting curses at Professor Tywin's family, but was soon met with a mouthful of the liquid.

"Wow, that's impressive, Professor!" exclaimed Odes Larsente in amazement.

"Thanks, Mr. Larsente," replied Professor Tywin with a grin.

He frowned at the few droplets of liquid on the ground, swiftly waving his wand again, murmuring, "Scourgify!"

The liquid vanished, taking the stench with it.

William noticed that Professor Tywin seemed to have OCD. Maybe it was due to being attacked by Wood's smelly shoes.

After Peeves departure, the entire class looked at the professor with admiration in their eyes.

Professor Tywin led them into the third corridor and stopped, outside an empty classroom.

"Enter," urged Professor Tywin. "This will be our practice room going forward."

Inside, the space was bare, featuring only a large water tank. However, the view inside was unclear, obstructed by murky sediment and long water plants.

Professor Tywin approached the water tank and halted. A sudden thump echoed from within, as if the creatures inside were attempting to break the glass.

"Don't be alarmed," Professor Tywin reassured calmly, as several students instinctively recoiled in fear. "There's nothing in there but a Grindylow."

Yet, most students felt quite the opposite and were indeed concerned.

Marina gripped William's arm tightly, seeking comfort once more.

Marcos Belby shot a horrified glance at Professor Tywin.

A few Slytherin students also stole fearful glances at the trembling water tank.

"Grindylows are dark creatures that live in water," explained Professor Tywin.

"They reside in rivers, ditches, and lakes.

When I was younger, I once went swimming in the river without any clothes on and got caught in a certain position by one of these creatures,

'who would have thought professor tywin had experience with tentacles.'

dragged to the riverbed."

I think many people would have had a similar experience.

"This here is a Grindylow, caught from the Black Lake yesterday.

I specially took permission from the headmaster to use it for our lessons," explained Professor Tywin.

"What? There's something like that in the Black Lake?"

The Slytherin girl who had previously looked lewdly at Tywin looked utterly horrified, her freckles bunching up like a dragon fruit.

Professor Tywin blinked and smiled, responding, "Absolutely, Miss Crouch.

I must inform you, there are numerous magical creatures dwelling in the Black Lake,

and the Grindylow happens to be one of the most common."

Expressions shifted among the group as they recalled rowing across the Black Lake in a small, rickety boat on their first day.

Judy Crouch's voice rose shrilly, "I'll write to my uncle and let him know that such a dangerous creature shouldn't be allowed near us."

Her uncle, Barty Crouch, held the role of Director at the International Magical Cooperation department.

Despite the seemingly impressive title, he had long been sidelined in the world of politics and held little sway.

Even If Crouch was still in power, Tywin didn't believe a wizard like him, who even sent his own son to Azkaban,

would take a little girl's complaints seriously. It was just bullshit.

But Judy kept arguing, and tricking the Slytherins who didn't know much.

Still, Tywin kept smiling, giving off this supportive vibe like it was something he did on purpose.

"Okay, time's ticking, let's get going."

"So, the first thing we need to ask is, what's a Grindylow?"

"Mr. Stark would you like to answer."

It has a greenish body, sharp teeth, horns on its head, and long fingers.

Grindylows are known for their aggressive behavior and tend to attack anything that comes near their habitat, especially humans.

"I couldn't have said it any better myself. Five points to Ravenclaw!" Professor Tywin chuckled.

Ravenclaw's points increased by another 10.

Before this, only Professor Snape was so shameless in favoring his own house being a big factor in Slytherin winning the year trophy.

But with professor tywin in the mix, looks like Ravenclaw would be winning this year.
