Chương 390: A Duel? Anyway...

Seeing the blade sweeping towards my neck I felt my adrenaline spike. Blood pumped through my body instantly as survival instincts long gone unused kicked in. I ducked rapidly onto my hands, kicking back up to my feet behind him. His momentum carried him as he spun and began to unleash flurried strikes at me. I grasped my lightsaber, igniting the blade. Crimson blade collapsed down towards my right shoulder, the heat transferring despite my armour's defences as I rose my sabre and deflected.

Blade was parried off to the side as I redirected my own towards his neck. Eyes widened, Malgus dodged by falling backwards and force pushing himself onto his feet once again. Not wishing to let him get that for free I continued to harry him. Running towards him with my blade drawn at my side I readied myself for intense combat. My opponent, well, he was grinning maniacally as he ducked behind a nearby pillar. Pulling my sabre up I slashed towards said pillar, wishing to slice it in half and him at the same time. Before I even got there the pillar cracked and shifted, falling towards me as the grinning figure of Malgus was standing with his arm outstretched.

'I was foolish for thinking he'd play fair.'

The marble collapsed through air, plunging towards me as my lightsaber started to hit small rubble, heating them into mini magma droplets. Gritting my teeth in frustration, my connection to the force flexing, I reached out. One, two... Three... All of the rubble stopped. Floating in mid air was the entire pillar, suspended as if by time itself. Crimson blade flung at me before I could comprehend what I had just done in the spur of the moment. Debris instantly flung towards the crimson blade. Momentum clogged as I straightened my posture. Then came my response.

"Play unfairly, will we? Then let me show you unfair."

Snapping my fingers the whole room began to quiver. Dust rattled off of the ceiling, the foundations cracking as the Cosmic Force and Physical Force began to enact my will on the entire temple. Splinters of chairs and differing items exploded out only to float in mid air. The armour of Malgus started to dent inwards as his eyes expanded in shock. Then came his response... Which wasn't anything to sniff at.

Veins flexed in his head as his entire body squeezed in effort. His armour whirred as its actuators and various components strained with mechanical pressure. Pressure of some kind was punching out at my control, as if there was someone vying for my power over the aspects of the force I had used. Curiosity took me over, the threat posed by the man being equal to zero for me, I let him take it. His lightsaber was freed and then he leapt at me, his speed beyond what most normal people could even comprehend.

"AAAAGHHHH!"

The force built behind his strike created shockwaves, the tip of his lightsaber striking towards the very centre of my heart. My skin tingled with the sensation of the force siding with me. Sensations of danger were lost on me despite the anger he used with each of his attempts to kill me so far. Honestly, it was kind of fun to mess with lesser levelled people. I understood how Loki felt now. I blinked and he had only moved a single centimetre, his face a carving of pure hatred, wrath and self-loathing. Sith were all wounded puppies mostly, they were either wounded in some way or purely psychotic. Very rarely will you get a Sith, like Revan, who understands that true freedom not only comes from other's suffering but by your own fulfillment and happiness.

"I'd like to have a proper duel... But he doesn't seem to like just fighting with lightsabers..."

Sighing I slowed myself down to his speed, stepping to the side to dodge his strike before I did so. His form slammed into the distant wall. His lightsaber imbedded halfway into the wall. Without missing a beat he picked up debris and various other items, flinging them at me. It was all a distraction however as I could easily see him running at me with his lightsaber extended to the side. What I wasn't expecting was lightning to arc from his opposite hand, smacking into my face. Ozone struck my senses as my hair frizzed from the contact, the majority of the 'damage' being absorbed by Apocalypse.

Slowly widening my mouth into a smile I rose my hand, lightning wreathing every aspect of it and extending into the room around me. Burning flesh was the next smell to perforate the room as Malgus was clutching at his chest whilst heavily breathing. His respirator was working over time, his anger fuelling the continued effort.

"That was fun Malgus. Perhaps the next time you face me it will be your end? Nah, that'd be less interesting... Thanks for the force lessons though!"

"AGHHHH! FACE, ME...!" He screamed into the empty room as I copied every Holocron, stored the copies and then teleported back to my original version on Coruscant. Where I was currently training with the Grandmaster of the Jedi Temple.

...

"To connect with the light side of the force one must calm the emotions, subdue them, and control them. You are the master of your emotions, not anyone else, not even your own biology." He was glowing a bright blue as his green eyes sparked in cerulean hue, his power spreading massively through the entire room.

I followed his guidance as my copy appeared invisibly and connected to my original body, all memories, powers and connection passed seamlessly over to me. My connection was monumentally more powerful than this chumps but that was inconsequential as doing this was to also gain access to the Jedi Archives, not that I couldn't just sneak in. Honestly, i just felt like doing some side quests before I delved deeply into Warhammer 40k, that shit show. Sanguinius was my sister, yes, but it made the universe no less fucked and perverted in morals and powers. Honestly, the Tyranid hive mind that I was able to fight with was so powerful that I felt trepidation actually facing them again. Especially considering that the force we fought was just a splinter fleet of a main Hive that was journeying through the Eastern side of the galaxy.

"Your mind is becoming clouded, as if you are wrestling with a complex issue... Calm yourself, and the answers will come to you..."

'This is fucking annoying. If I wanted advise like this I'd just go visit a fucking Yoga Instructor!'

"You are becoming-"

"Look. I am not here for your mumbo jumbo fake bullshit. I am here to learn what you know of the Living Force, the Physical Force, The Cosmic Force, The Unifying Force and The Light Side. From what I am hearing you have no grasp of the true meaning of the light side, so what am I doing here?"

He looked at me for a few moments, standing a after that period of time and grimacing.

"I understand that our methods may be unusual to some and be perplexing to others, but, there is a rhyme and a reason to them. If you would please just humour me for a single hour more and I shall attempt the impossible, to allow you to connect truly with the light side of the force..."

My complaints died out right there, he was kind beyond measure and despite my aggressive tone, he merely asked for my patience and a little bit more time. He said it was impossible but that itself made it possible due to how fate worked. She was a cruel bitch still.

...

For the next hour I followed each of his instructions, meditation, mantras within my head and even a direct prod from his connection to the light side. Nothing really happened. Honestly when he said it was impossible I really considered that I'd be able to do it, but it seemed that this method of connecting was just not good for me.

"I am sorry for wasting your time, but it seems you are incapable of connecting to the light side of the force with so little time. Perhaps if you are interested in extending your learning?"

"No. She will fucking speak with me."

"She?"

My voice started to stretch through space and time, reaching the distant ears of a certain sister, who was currently lounging nearby some animals on Alderaan, before it was blown up (PS: this means that she is on Alderaan before 'lore-wise' it was blown up).

"Come here!"

"Emelia!? S- Sure! I'll be there in a jiffy!"

The communication was cut as space opened wide to allow her access to real space. Flowing robes of cerulean silks and wavy white cloth was the first thing to be seen as the pale skin of the Light Side of the Force revealed itself. Her cheeks were flushed and her blue eyes were rather panicked, as if she were expecting a booty call or something.

"You called...?"

"Yes, i wish to know why I can't connect with the light side of the force."

Her already pale skin paled to a stark bone-white as she floundered for a response, her lips smacking together as she blinked several times.

"W-well, ummm... I, don't... Know...???"

"...."
