(A/N: So I ugh, messed up. I apologize for not posting this chapter at its designated time. Stuff came up and got very distracted. I shall post the next chapter tomorrow as planned since I forgor to write. I input small meme reference near end of the chapter. Hopefully yall enjoy it in your own ways. Quickly whipped up this chapter in an hour before going to sleep)
"I'm going to end the dungeon, Sabrina will simply do it faster than me" he concludes his argument with a solid resolutionary goal. The ladies are speechless at his words. Freya moves to comfort Syr/Horn as she walks away, fairly heartbroken that Axel would be taking her baby away to the dungeon.
She has faith in Axel but the feeling of being separated from her child had already sent her into a panic before when they disappeared for three days but now there will be a repeat. She had only just gained the ability to properly nurse her baby.
Tears flow down her face at the situation but Freya is there for her and helps her calm down and lie back down in bed, she is still recovering from the pregnancy. Her mood had been thrown around by quite a bit.
Raikou lifts her head from her contemplation to look at Axel, "Will you be wearing your standard armor and gear?" She questions, yet Axel shakes his head as he responds.
"My body is already tougher than my armor, I can also make armor and weapons with my nen. It's not really worth much anymore. I also won't really be collecting monster cores all that much unless I encounter Rexs' or other strong monsters that drop valuable cores. I would then teleport back, drop off the cores and then return to the hunt."
He explains his game plan to the ladies before he returns to his room to pack his bags, which is mostly everything that Sabrina would need to survive a long time in the dungeon.
While he can teleport whenever he wants, he doesnt know how Sabrina would be affected by the teleportation, so he wants to do it with her as little as he can. He doesnt plan to stay longer than 4 days in the dungeon. As such, if he does stay 2 days then he would teleport back for a small break and let Syr recover emotionally a bit before he returns to the dungeon. That would mean that he would teleport at most, 4 times with Sabrina.
That is the limit he placed upon himself until he could truly tell that Sabrina is fine with teleportation.
After a few minutes, Axel is ready as he has prepared a belt that is adorned in baby products while Sabrina is lying in her crib while the hammock carrier is lying right next to her. While he is ready, he is not planning to head out just yet. He has a plan to confirm the defenses of Sabrina while they are in the dungeon, just in case there comes about a situation that forces him to separate from Sabrina.
He sets down a magic circle on the ground as he places various components down at each cardinal direction (N,S,E,W). To the East is a bucket of Dungeon Spring Water, a type of magical water that is infused with magical energies. It's quite rare as the springs are highly sought after and devoured to help mages increase their magic stat. To the South is a standard candle but the fire that burns the wick is his own current strongest fire, the Primal Fire spell. To the West is a relatively small chunk of adamantium and to the North is obsidian from the recent volcano (Mt. Doom) he was at.
"Fire, water, earth and Metal. The four auspicious beasts and while Wind is not considered. There is one final step" Axel ruminates out loud as he hovers his hand over the center of the circle before he cuts himself, letting his blood spill in the center before he heals and gathers a ton of energy around his hand as he slams it down.
"Shinigami summoning!!"
A cloud of smoke explodes out as the materials are consumed as offerings to the shinigami he summons. Axel quickly pushes the smoke out of the open window through his esper ability so that Sabrina is not exposed to it too much.
Axel gazes upon the center where the shinigami he summoned stands. Axel can't help but comment, "Well that is definitely the cutest summon I could have gotten. I shall be in your care and hope that you may be my daughters protective companion for as long as you are willing" Axel compliments the creature and provides his official request which would serve as the basis of their contract"
"Yip" A high pitched but slightly hollow sounding voice is heard in response from the shinigami. An actual god of death or grim reaper. A small bone dog of about 6 or so inches tall, wearing a full black cloak. It has an equally tiny scythe in it's mouth when it let out the sound with a wagging tail.
"I unfortunately don't understand what you have said or how you said it since you lack a tongue or lungs. But ill take it as a yes"
"Yip '' The dog reaper's body bounces from the sound and power of its own bark. It's tail still wagging happily, Axel can at most feel that the contract has been established.
"Alright, well, here is Sabrina. You two can get to know each other for a few moments but I would be careful to not be touched by her unless I'm nearby and in physical contact with her.
"Ruuu" The reaper groans in sadness at not being able to cuddle up against such a cute baby that is overflowing with life energy. For now it will settle to play a small game of hide and seek with the child. It sets up a small black screen in front of Sabrina which it then hides behind before jumping around. Sabrina forces herself to sit up to look at the screen before hopping out with another yip while getting close but not too close to Sabrina.
She tries to catch him but fails as it moves back behind the screen, only to come out the other side and attracting the babies attention there. It continues method of play for a little while.
