Chương 65: Chapter 64 - Aftermath

Fuck...I'm totally beat.

It's been a week since OBR attacked Astaroth City, and things have somewhat settled down after a couple of chaotic days in the aftermath of the attack.

Over a hundred people had been killed, several more badly injured, with more than a third of the city destroyed.

The attack only lasted about an hour, before the remaining members of the attacking group suddenly retreated and left the city. And a few hours later, a whole lot of looting, riots and brawls ensued.

It got pretty ugly, and the Guild basically forced the Adventurers into Quests to subdue the chaos and conflicts.

I got dragged into that too, along with Aura, the Guildmaster came to us and practically begged me to help after I initially refused, before I accepted after securing a sizeable payment for my efforts.

And since I was getting paid, I didn't half-ass things, and now that things are finally settling down and under control, I'm totally wiped.
