Chương 17: Teach them just a tiny bit of a lesson

"What are you doing back here?" Lucian asked her as she pulled off her coat, hanging it behind the door. "I thought you left for father's clan."

"Well, I'm back."

"Then check up on her." Lucian cut her off and she looked at him in total disbelief. "What? You are a doctor aren't you?"

"I am a blood doctor and a technical doctor, not a human doctor." Naomi pointed out.

"You take blood from people don't you?" Lucian glared daggers and she rolled her eyes before walking over to Cullen, patting his shoulders.

"You still have to deal with this arrogant prince, big bro. I'm proud of you. All of you leave so I can check out her wounds." Naomi said and they all left the room for her.

Lucian was pacing around the corridor for the whole one hour Naomi spent checking up on Seraphina. As soon as Naomi stepped out of the room, he turned to her sharply for answers on her condition.

"She was shot twice." Naomi said, making Lucian look at her with a raised brow. "There's a new gun used by a particular family these days. I don't know how it was created but after it's been shot, you'll only feel the unbearable pain but it won't bleed out and slowly the poison from the bullet will go I to your system and kiss life goodbye."

"But how would the bullet go into the body if it wasn't seen?" Lucian asked her with a raised brow. "Is that even possible?"

"You will see the red scar like it was torn open and stitched again. It might be a form of sorcery or something used for it but I am very confident there isn't too much of it for now. Only one in Nightshadeblood clan and now this one." Naomi explained as she handed him the bullet which seemed to be melting already. "This started to melt than the first one. If we don't find the family behind this, very soon it will be everywhere and no one would be able to trace the source again."

Lucian looked at the plastic bag the bullet is in before handing it back to Naomi. "Run tests on it. There must be at least something that leads us to the source. Each family in every clan has a signature material so it might be included for the experimental part." Lucian said to her and she nodded in approval. "How is she?"

"She should be awake in a few days. Do not out pressure below her shoulder where she was hit with the invisibility gun, or whatever it is called. If possible, she should go on without…" She paused and looked at Lucian who was listening to her. "Why am I telling you this anyways? Do not let any clothing touch the wound. It is just covered, it would be stitched by tomorrow."

"Can't she wake up any other day than a few days?" Lucian asked.

"She can wake up tomorrow but she will be in pain. I stitched her shot waist and her arm. Be careful with those you put around you Lucian, especially delicate ladies. You know she would definitely get hurt no matter how hard you try to prevent it."

He knew Naomi was right and there was no way he can get her out of this mess he had placed her into already. It's either she stayed or she dies and till they know the person behind these sneak attacks against her. There's no way he would let go of her and let her go back to living on her own.

Lucian walked over to the meeting room with a serious look on his face. As Esmeralda saw him, she totally avoided him not to awaken the sleeping hunter in him. As he stepped into the elevator, Gabriel stepped in after him.

"The Family Xing attacked the North family today because they had some issues between them." Gabriel briefed him as the elevator lowered into the ground.

"And why do I care about that? As long as they are far away from the people in my clan, I don't care if they kill each other for family inheritance." Lucian replied as he stepped out of the elevator, walking past the hologram map of his whole clan.

From the map, it viewed the names of different places including the families situated in different parts of the clan. "The Andre family tried to attack our goods coming from the other countries outside the seven clans."

A low and sinister chuckle escaped Lucian's lips as he sat comfortably on his throne-like chair and some information appeared around him from the holographic computers. "Teach them just a tiny bit of a lesson. Never mess with Lucian Van del Turo. And I want the bodies presented to the head of the family as a thank you present."

"Yes, your highness."
