Chương 22: Just the Clown Of Crimson High
Xavian had returned to school the next day after the match.
However the situation was nothing like he had expected.
He had expected the bullying to settle a bit without Kane and Vane roaming the halls, but instead, there were no situations at all.
Normally, on a Tuesday morning, one would see muscle headed kids beating up nerds and intelligent kids cowering in empty classrooms.
But today, all was peaceful and the entire day had gone past without any incident.
At lunch break, Xavian was in the middle of having his lunch with Bob when he over heard a couple of students a few seats away.
He had enhanced hearing after all.
"Man, I don't know what to do..." The first boy began.
He continued
"Yeah, Vane said the guy comes for us, the muscle heads.
Just because we know how to use our fists and the nerds can't!"
Another boy frowned.
"I'm sure it's one of the nerds.
I'm sure one took fighting classes or something and came for revenge!"
The rest gasped and seemed to agree with the second boy's reasoning.
"You know, the skinny guy wearing glasses with his hair split in the middle was there when The Clown attacked Kane and Vane" another boy reasoned.
"Who knows, maybe he IS the Clown of Crimson High!, Let's get rid of him before he takes down any of the others"
"Yeah!!"
Xavian almost choked as he heard the last sentences.
They were going to target Bob anyway, just because he happened to be there.
The System beeped and sent him a tab;
[Enemies have Targeted someone close to the User]
[As a Dhampir, you hunt others but do not let our own get hunted]
[Mission: Eliminate enemies who have Targeted Robert Brent]
[Reward: +1 EXP per enemy defeated]
Xavian went through the new quest and smiled.
It was time for The Clown to act.
