After Xu Jingli brought Chen Mumu back, the two of them walked slowly through the biting cold. Chen Mumu pulled her clothes tighter around her body in an attempt to stay warm.

Xu Jingli noticed her discomfort and couldn't bear to see her like that. Without hesitation, he took off his coat and draped it over her shoulders.

Chen Mumu didn't react much, but the warmth of the coat made her feel a little better. She walked silently beside him, her thoughts a whirl of emotions she couldn't quite place. Xu Jingli, sensing her distance, chose not to say anything, giving her the space she seemed to need.

They continued in silence until they reached the front door of Chen Mumu's house. Once there, she gently took off the coat and handed it back to him. "Thank you very much," she said softly, her voice steady but polite.
