Chapter 29: Do You Think I'm a Giant Baby?

After school one afternoon, as Moon was tending to the flowerbed, he saw Harry's new hairstyle for the first time.

Harry, who had transformed his messy hair into a somewhat styled look, managed to resist bursting into laughter as Moon instructed him on the basics of hair care, especially with the unruly tufts at his temples.

Under Moon's guidance, Harry quickly picked up the techniques.

However...

Harry couldn't shake the feeling that Uncle Moon was more serious about teaching him how to manage his hair than teaching him magic. Moon even went the extra mile, providing books on fashion to enhance Harry's aesthetic sense.

Harry scratched his head, unsure of how to react. The situation had gone beyond his range of facial expressions.

With the book in hand, he reluctantly returned to the study.

After routine cleaning of the entire castle, Harry noticed that Moonlight Castle was already in motion.

Watching the landscape retreat as the castle moved backward, Harry couldn't help but be impressed.

The gentle breeze quickly made him forget the taunts from his schoolmates, allowing him to adapt to life after the start of the school year.

It made Harry think that life could continue like this.

A week passed quickly, and Harry had grown accustomed to displaying his scar.

Once the students at school realized that Harry wasn't bothered by their teasing, they gradually let it go.

Outside the school gates, Dudley stood with his gang of friends, including Piers, who had previously joined Dudley in tormenting Harry. Among them, Piers appeared relatively slim compared to the others.

"At last, it's the weekend. Where should we go, Duddy?" one boy, the biggest and burliest of the group, asked Dudley.

"Go where? No way. I've run out of money," Dudley replied, his face uninterested, the fat on his face jiggling.

Ten pounds might not seem like much, but in those days, it was a significant amount. In just five days, Dudley had spent all his pocket money, or more accurately, all on eating.

"Then let's go to your place and play some games," another suggested.

Dudley sighed irritably, "The game console got smashed."

"What?!" The disappointment on their faces was evident. The game console was Dudley's birthday gift, and it hadn't been long before he broke it.

"Weirdo, look." Suddenly, someone pointed at the figure coming out of the school gate.

Dudley turned to see Harry walking out of the school.

Honestly, for quite some time now, Dudley had harbored a strong dislike for Harry. It started with the incident when wild dogs chased them during the summer break. Later, Harry claimed Dudley's room, even though it was filled with broken toys. And then, Harry inexplicably became a handyman in Privet Drive, receiving praise from the neighbors.

In short, Harry's actions had long been a source of irritation for Dudley.

Ever since Harry began working at Number 13, Privet Drive, Dudley initially thought Harry would return home every day exhausted, only able to eat leftovers before being locked in a cupboard.

But now, he could visibly see that Harry had grown taller and healthier. He had even become more spirited.

Especially—more daring!

He dared to talk back and wore a completely disdainful expression!

Dudley's face revealed an openly malicious smile, and he flexed his fists, saying, "I know where there's money."

From neighbors' gossip, Dudley learned that Harry had accumulated a small fortune by fixing things for people.

Walking down the street, Harry wore a smile, seemingly in a good mood. For this weekend, Uncle Moon had some business in Diagon Alley. With Moon's approval, Harry borrowed Mrs. Hudson's landline to invite Hermione to join him on a trip to Diagon Alley.

Having few friends at school, he naturally looked forward to the weekend.

As he walked, a group of figures suddenly approached, surrounding him.

"Well, well, look who it is. Isn't this my dear cousin?" Dudley looked at Harry, wanting to hug him, but Harry quickly dodged.

"Dudley, what are you doing?" Harry asked, watching Dudley closely.

"Do? Of course, I'm concerned about you." Dudley looked at Harry. "Harry, you see, I've got nowhere to go. How about... you pay me some rent for moving into my room?"

"You won't get a single Knut from me." Harry looked at Dudley, expressionless.

It was expected that Dudley would try to take from his small fortune, so Harry had already placed the money in Moonlight Castle's study.

At that moment, without Harry noticing, Piers had sneaked behind him and grabbed his arms.

Dudley took the opportunity to hold Harry's head. "Alright, forget it. Since we're bored, come play a game with us."

"Dudley, let go of me!" Harry struggled, but compared to Dudley, he lacked the strength.

Soon, he was pulled away from the school gate, taken to a nearby alley.

"No money? Well, I've seen you wearing this ring for a while. What is it, silver?" Saying that, Dudley grabbed Harry's hand, attempting to take off the ring.

No matter how hard Dudley tried, the ring seemed rooted to Harry's finger, refusing to budge.

"Damn it!" Dudley helplessly let go of Harry's hand.

"Let go of me, Dudley!" Harry shouted. Though held by Dudley's friends, he kept his gaze fixed on Dudley.

"What's it to me? It's not like I told them to tie you up," Dudley retorted.

"You're always like this, acting recklessly and thinking highly of yourself. Like a baby, even the fat on your face is like that." Harry rebuked.

Bang—

Blood flowed from Harry's nose, and he felt a sudden dizziness, stars flashing before his eyes. Before he could react, Dudley's fists and kicks rained down on him.

Dudley's friends let go of Harry. They wouldn't hit Harry; after all, if caught, the school would inform their parents. But Dudley was different; this was a brawl between brothers, and the school wouldn't intervene too much.

"Do you think you're smart?" Dudley roared. "You're just a parasite."

Harry struggled to defend himself, wanting to do something, but the thought of causing trouble for Uncle Moon held him back.

Yes, he couldn't bring more trouble to Uncle Moon.

It was just another beating from Dudley; it wasn't a big deal. He had endured it before.

Don't let emotions control you!

He kept telling himself this, attempting to use his body to shield against Dudley's blows.

"Do you think I'm a baby who needs care?" Dudley continued to insult. "Jealous that I have parents? Yours died in a car crash, leaving you with that ugly scar. It's ridiculous that you flaunt it, thinking you're unique—"

Dudley's words were cut off as a tremendous force erupted from Harry. Everyone was slammed into the wall by an invisible impact, disoriented and dizzy.
