On the outskirts of the forest that stretched as far as the eye can see,
The party of three could be seen marching quietly under a canopy of giant trees, the atmosphere within the forest was fresh, natural fragrance of trees, grass, and common herbs, made anyone who stepped inside feel relaxed.
Radhan feet crunched the dried leaves blanketing the forest, as he led the party. he was navigating with his soul sense towards a suitable place to hunt.
He admired this ancient forest, it stood witness to ages of past, and prosperity and decay were a part of its life cycle.
it was welcoming, to each visitor who sought to take refuge or benefit from its resource.
And was unforgiving to each idiot, who wasn't aware of its laws.
They continued their trek in silence, as a glade stretching for tens of meters came into view. A giant rock stood in the middle, while sunlight illuminated the clearing
the vibrant colors of grass and flowers shone in contrast to the heavy air they felt once they stepped inside. beneath the shadow of the rock lay a coiled Profound beast.
the snake was huge reaching 10 meters in length and was as thick as an adult male torso, its cultivation base was sitting in the middle of the True Profound realm. Radhan reached with his hand to stop them from advancing as the snake rose and hissed at them, and declared
'' I'll take care of this beast, I want you to observe as i demonstrate its strength and weaknesses ''
With those words, he walked leisurely toward the snake, the snake hissed at him in warning, but seeing him come closer it launched itself toward him in response to his challenge.
Radhan simply waved his hand and a violet aura spread out, immediately pressuring the snake to crash down unable to move, Radhan continued walking and stood in front of the snake
'' What was that?! '' Master Li exclaimed from behind
'' Gravity '' came the simple answer from Radhan
'' But how? I've seen too many people manipulate the five elements, but I've never seen anyone using such a technique to manipulate a fundamental law''
Radhan shook his head and said '' this is no technique, as it doesn't involve using profound energy but direct manipulation of Gravity law, it needs soul power and a certain soul attribute that most people don't have ''
He turned to the limp snake, unsheathed his saber, and ran it gently along the snake's body producing a grating metallic sound. then addressed his sister
'' Qingyue when facing, snake-like creatures, you must understand that their scales are tough and most of the time impervious to slashing damage, either you hit it bluntly, hard enough to damage its inside, or focus on its belly ''
He flipped the snake with his leg and slashed slightly on its belly drawing a small amount of blood.
Then he went to stand in front of its head and said
'' Another weak point depending on how you react afterward, is its eyes, blind it and let it exhaust itself then deliver the final blow, but you have to be wary because it has strong muscles that would break your bones if it catches you off-guard ''
Qingyue was in a daze watching her brother manhandle this giant snake as if it was nothing but quickly came to herself when she sensed her brother's inquiring silence.
And replied '' I'll remember your lesson brother ''
Radhan smiled '' Good, now we don't have any use for this beast '' He quickly pushed his saber in the middle of the snake's forehead, and ended its life.
He then sat under the shadow of the rock and waved his hands for them to join him, once they sat down he said '' now, we'll wait for your opponent to come ''
Qingyue looked pensive as she thought ' Yuanba, is getting stronger every day, he must be hiding some secrets from me... it didn't surprise me to see him manipulate gravity, I already saw him do it before, but I never knew, that he could kill without hesitation '
Radhan's hand shook her from her stupor and pointed towards a section of the glade where a profound snake beast was slithering stealthily in their direction.
'' That's your opponent, it's in the early stage of the True profound ''
Qingyue nodded her head, and everyone stood up to watch her small stature move toward the gigantic snake.
The snake having sensed the death of its mate, in rage attacked the very first person in its sight and spat a spray of venom at the little human in front of it.
Qingyue didn't hesitate for a second and struck the ground with her foot, evading the projectile in a flash.
She used a movement technique Radhan devised, that used the principle of controlling a small amount of energy on the sole of her feet to create a propelling force in a single direction.
Once she evaded and arrived at the side of the beast, the snake quickly, struck with its tail, Qingyue raised her sword and blocked the strike after skiding for a few meters, wincing at the force transmitted to her from the sword.
Realizing that a direct confrontation wasn't the right answer, she stood her ground and waited for the beast to strike again. Which didn't take much time as the snake lunged toward her.
Qingyue waited for the last second before the beast's jaw closed on her, she flipped over its head, slashing at its eyes in passing, then retreated quickly as the beast started thrashing around.
She took a deep breath and waited for the beast to bleed and exhaust itself.
Once the snake began to slow down, her brother's image of ending the beast's life nonchalantly came to her mind.
She readied herself and used her movement technique to reach the snake's forehead, in a quick motion she plunged her sword deep into its eye socket pulverizing its brain, the beast thrashed for a moment then fell under her with a thud.
Clap, Clap, Clap
Radhan came into view clapping with Master Li
Qingyue smiled at her brother and said '' I guess, I didn't fail you, Master ''
Radhan laughed '' No, you did a good job, dear disciple. I told you before, never underestimate yourself, and look at the result, not a single injury ''
Radhan patted her on the back and stated '' take a few minutes of rest, then we'll continue the hunt ''

After resting and eating some rations, they resumed their search for Profound Beasts. With Radhan leading the way and advising her on how to approach the fight against profound beasts, Qingyue spent the whole day fighting and gaining experience.
When the sun started to drop below the horizon the group concluded their training and departed for their home.
when they entered the mansion they found Xia Hongyi, waiting in the main courtyard with worry on his face. Radhan went forward and greeted his father
'' Father, we've safely returned, as I promised ''
Hongyi examined their state first then relaxed a little after seeing no injuries on them and inquired
'' How was it? You didn't encounter any danger, right? ''
Qingyue interjected before Radhan could speak and replied '' No, there was no danger, we encountered many beasts, but the dangerous ones were taken care of by Yuanba and Master Li ''
Hongyi looked gratified at his son and said'' That's good, always protect each other back's... anyways dinner is ready, Master Li please join us today for dinner. ''
Li Niu accepted the invitation and they went to the dining hall, once they sat down on the table, servants came in with a variety of dishes, the aroma flooded their nostrils and they didn't wait long before digging in.
Once they finished their dinner Master Li bid them farewell and went to his quarter.
Xia Hongyi said to his children as they were about to leave '' Don't leave yet, wait for me ''
Radhan and Qingyue looked puzzled at each other but still waited, soon after a few minutes, Hongyi came back holding two wooden boxes, he gave a box to each of the siblings and urged them to open it
'' Go on, open it ''
Radhan opened his box and found a black ring inside, the ring was simple with no adornment, he tried to inspect it with his soul sense and found that it was a spatial ring with 1 cubic meter of space inside.
' This thing costs a fortune ' Radhan thought to himself
He looked at his sister and she must've too realized the function of the ring.
He admired his father's determination to support them in their journey even though he felt against it inside.
'' Thank you, you didn't have to trouble yourself Father'' Radhan murmured
Xia Hingyi seemed irritated hearing his son's words '' Nonsense, am I the father or is it you? You don't have to worry about anything I'll support you with whatever I can, just do your best to stay out of harm's way ''
Both siblings looked grateful, as they both bowed towards him, then they took their leave. It was a long day and a good amount of rest was needed.

The moon shone on the courtyard, its light guiding the lost, comforting the hurt, and shining impartially on every being, good or bad, it didn't matter, because on lonely cold nights, the only company they had was the moon.
They say that survivors don't mourn together; for in the cracks of their hearts
Grief hid and it wants nothing but to be left alone.
Such was the night for Radhan, as he remembered in his mind what he once stood witness to.
His life changed from a great general to a deranged monster to a child with a family, where he experienced warmth for the first time.
but the weight of memories came crashing down eventually, beneath his Young face, hid the soul of a demigod shouldering the weight of hundreds of years.
Radhan stood still on the deck of the courtyard, as he felt the particularity of his soul, it was an imposition that sought him to yield to the fragments of the past, to the monster he once was.
it felt futile and promised release upon yielding to it, but that's the illusion and the barrier that stopped most men from achieving greatness.
He delved deep inside and spread his will, imposing it on every inch of his soul, he felt the resistance, but he also felt the sublimation around the corner.
For the entirety of the night, he just stood there until he opened his eyes, and they shone bright, the deck beneath his feet cracked, and the wind stopped moving until the light was gone and he exhaled slowly
'' I feel like I've been reborn once again '' he smiled and went straight to bed falling exhausted.

Time flowed quickly and seasons changed, it had been two years since Xia Qingyue began her training in the forest.
If she had the time to sit and reflect on herself, she'd realize how much she had grown, from a girl who shut herself in her room to the young vibrant beautiful girl she had become.
And if someone asked her, what made her change so much throughout the years, she'd undoubtedly say it was her brother Xia Yuanba, whom she felt was like an elder brother instead of him being younger than her.
Today they were going for a walk and sightsee in the city, her brother was waiting outside the room already prepared, while she took her time getting dressed
After finishing, she looked at herself and the mirror, she had grown taller reaching 140 cm in height, her black hair cascaded down her back, and her eyes shone as a crystal pool.
She went outside, And wondered if Yuanba would still get mad at her for being late, Fortunately, he seemed occupied by his thoughts and didn't give her an earful like usual.
'' I'm ready, let's go Yuanba '' Qingye announced
Radhan nodded his head and walked out of the courtyard towards the mansion gate.
Qingyue observed her brother from the corner of her eyes and noticed, that he had grown taller again, reaching 160 m at 12 years old, his face was like a calm pool, with sharp eyes that led to unknown depths.
They went out of the mansion and began touring the city, they would stop at shops if they found something they liked or in front of food stalls where they would try different kinds of street food.
As they continued to sightsee they stopped at a store that sold medicinal herbs.
Radhan seemed interested in a type of flower and asked the seller to pack it up.
A few paces behind them, was a woman wearing a blue dress and a veil covering her face, she was tall and had a graceful aura to her.
Chy Yueli was taking a rest in Floating Cloud City after finishing a mission for Frozen Cloud Asgard, while she was walking she sensed something, she turned her head and looked at the source of this feeling.
There she saw one of the most beautiful girls she laid her eyes on, but what made her pause in surprise was her cultivation base. Although well hidden, it didn't manage to fool the senses of a sky-profound practitioner.
She immediately made a line for the girl, in her mind she thought such a talent shouldn't be wasted in this backward place, she didn't pay attention to the boy beside the girl, as he looked ordinary apart from his fit build.
She came closer and reached with her hand to turn the girl to her face and gain her attention.
Before she could even touch the girl she felt her arm grabbed and squished by an iron-like grip.
She turned to the insolent boy who grabbed her to teach him a lesson for his disrespect.
But she was met with the most frighting eyes she had ever seen, flashing with violet light as if a beast was waiting inside to swallow her whole, and heard a searing voice: '' WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING, WOMAN?! ''
Then she felt a vast pressure descend, pressing her hard to the ground and crushing the ground beneath her feet.
