Leaving my room, I saw my father relaxing on a chair. Sharpening his blade, " Aleksi, A festival will be held as a 10 year anniversary of the rebellion. A tournament is to also be held in Kings Landing. Although I believe you aren't ready for it. " He uttered continuing to sharpen his knife, " After all, you fight like a Berserker. Any well trained knight with experience would man handle you. "
Hearing him I just nodded, putting my hands in my fist after all. I knew that I was still weak. Not in strength but technique. "That is why, I sent out for someone to train you. A warrior from Essos landed in White Harbour and Connin just so happened to be there to recruit him to our village. A strange coincidence but a good one. That is why everyday from now on you shall be undergoing training in a weapon, Either it be a sword, Poleaxe or hammer. The man is skilled in most, Jack of all trades, master of none. " My father suddenly spoke , "However he won't be here for another few days according to Robb. "
Hearing him I smiled, I at least have some time to relax before I get my ass sent to the floor every few seconds now. "Father me and Rose are heading to go see a play. If you need anything just go to the theatre, we should be there. "
"Aye, go have your fun. I have some things to do right now. " Hearing him I left the house and headed to the housing section to go get Rose. It's been a while since I could finally enjoy my free time like. Heading out and enjoying life. I've been to busy hunting, even if it pays decent. Walking down the stone road, the town was slowly becoming a town. The homes were made of a stone base and the homes itself were mainly made of wood however it depended on each district.
As I walked through the streets, I could smell meats being cooked. Voices of men haggling for products and the shouts of merchants trying to get their trinkets or produce sold. The world has been slowly growing on, the longer I've been here. The only thing I truly missed was the internet, now it would take me a few months at best to find certain information. However, I also gather useful information on different stuff as well.
I saw a man with a beard and a few children following him aswell as a few bodyguard having the Stark emblem on their shields wearing black cloaks. Many were bowing towards them.
' Why were the Starks here. There was nothing important here, except the theatre doing a play on the rebellion. ' Thinking to myself I suddenly realised that this was the exact reason they were here.
Muttering words to myself, I kept walking towards Robbs house. Eventually after a 30 minute walk I arrived, knocking on the door. The door swung open revealing Rose, with a smile and in a dress.
" Are you ready to head off Rose? " I smiled towards her.
"Of course, I'm ready. I'm happy that you have some free time. I've missed you. " She spoke before walking towards me and locked her arm around mine with a smile on here face.
" Aye, I missed you too. Why don't we head off, Don't want to miss anything do we. "
" Yeah, Lets go. "
Hearing her I nodded and we started to walk towards the centre of the town where the theatre was built and the play is to be held.
Looking towards Rose, A small smile popped up on my face. She leaned her head against my shoulder. ' I guess we are really close, I'll ask Robb if he would allow me to be engaged towards his daughter. '
Walking through the street, we got stares from many. However, It was mostly from Rose's friends that she hangs around all the time. The streets were packed full with people, mostly of merchants and people preparing for the festival later tonight. Rose held my arm tight, it felt like I would lose the blood circulating to my fingers.
" Rose, can you loosen you grip on my arm. I think I'm about to lose feeling in it. " I tapped her shoulder sending her a pained smile.
" Oh sorry, I didn't mean to. It's just all the people staring has me a bit anxious. "
" You'll get used to it. Their probably surprised after they're not used seeing us like this. "
she looked at me and sent a small nod before leaning her head back on my shoulders. My life was nice, I had everything I could've wanted. A stable life, A few friends, a supportive father and someone that seems to express the same feeling I feel for them. Everything was lining up, but those damn Ice walkers. I can't get them out my head, I see his icy stare every single time I sleep.
I felt a slight tap on shoulder turning me to look around and I saw a friend of mine. The butchers son, A tall lad filled with fat that didn't seem to make him lose his strength or slow him down. No the boy was a scary, it's a shame he had been riddled with injuries. However that doesn't seem to stop him. He had brown hair that paired with his brown eyes.
" You heading to the theatre, Aleksi? "
"Aye. Why, do you need something? " I questioned
" Yeah, I was wondering if you could help me move some of the meat to the tavern later. " The boy rubbed the back of his head, " For the festival and all that. "
"Yeah, I'll help you. After I watch the play, with Rose here. " I spoke
The Lad looked towards where I stared and his eyes widened, " Oh hey Rose, sorry that I didn't notice you. Anyways tell me when you can help. " He suddenly approached me and whispered, " Good luck you'll win her heart. After all you're the best looking person I know. "
Hearing him, I couldn't help but smile, " Thanks Finn. I'll meet you at the butchers later tonight. "
" Aye, I'll see you later." He spoke before sending a wave and running off.
" So, what's this about the festival? " Rose suddenly asked me.
" What, you don't know. " I stared at her in surprise still walking towards our destination, " It's meant to be for a celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the rebellion. I don't know who was keeping count of the days. "
Rose hearing this sent a nod towards me before staring ahead at the theatre that slowly appeared in our view.
