"Good morning," Midori spoke into the speaker once someone at the Koishikawa house answered the phone. "May I please speak with Ryouichi-san?"

The one who answered was none other than the person whom Midori liked the least in the entire Koishikawa house -- her soon-to-be ex-mother-in-law.

"Ara, Midori-san. Apologies, Ryouichi-san isn't home. Even if he is, I don't think that he wants to talk to you. Will you please stop disturbing him already?"

"Ah, it's Madam Koishikawa."

Midori smiled sweetly to herself.

"As you wish, there is no need to let me talk to him. You only need to tell him that the house is ready. He is welcome to take a look anytime tomorrow."

Without giving Madam Koishikawa proper time to react, Midori ended the phone call.

Oh, the Meiji Era, she clicked with her tongue in displeasure. If only she could use her Android to send Ryouichi a short message on WhatsApp. Wouldn't that be so much more convenient?
