"If you want to die, then die in some else's arms!"
Jin Ling said as just then another hit was straight down to his back but he remained calm not letting out a single noise.
Seeing him struggle with so mush pain, Ming Mei's heart melted more and more.
She wished she could just walk up to Hui Li and give her a big slap but even though she wanted to, in this life Hui Li was her mother and she respected all mothers even though it was the wicked mother of the villainess.
The servants continued with the beating and Ming Mei cried out to her mother to stop but she turned a blind ear.
But just then, the loud voice of someone quite familiar was heard.
"What is the meaning of this?!"
They all turned around only to be surprised to see the old Madame and Bai An standing at the corner, shocked to see what was happening at the moment.
"M-mother?" Hui Li shocked, stood up shakenly as she walked towards the old Madame.
Meanwhile, Sisi and Jai Lin walked and stood beside the old Madame.
Turns out that after seeing that their madame was unwilling to let the Young master and their miss go, Sisi and Jai Lin decided to inform the old Madame about the situation and she was totally not happy to hear what was going on.
With anger visible in her eyes, the old Madame said, "Hui Li, what is the meaning of this? My Mei Mei is ill and yet you punish her so? What type of mother Are you?"
She questioned as Hui Li was speechless. She and her mother in-law were absolutely far from friends.
They only tolerated each other because they were family but the old Madame hated Hui Li for her lazy and ignorant attitude.
The only relationship binding her with her was the fact that she was the mother to her two grandchildren.
"W-well mother, I think Young master Jin must have had something to do with Ming Mei's fall so I-i was punis-"
"That's wrong grandma!" They heard Ming Mei's voice from behind as she stood up from where she was laying underneath Jin Ling's care.
With determination visible in her eyes, she used her strength to walk towards where the women stood.
Upon seeing her grandchild, the old woman's eyes melted immediately.
Now close enough to be heard properly, Ming Mei then explained all that had happened and how Jin Ling wasn't the one who caused her illness but the one that even helped her.
Hearing her words, the old Madame was understanding and immediately she shouted, "You servants, you let Jin ling go this minute.. he is innocent and has no hand in my granddaughter illness, if anyone tried to accuse him I'll not spare you!"
She declared as all the servants got on their knees as they accepted her words.
Upon hearing all that, Ming Mei was happy. Her brother in-law was safe and everything was settled.
With a sweet smile plastered across her face, Ming Mei was about to walk towards Jin Ling when she felt a slight ache in her body and the next thing, she collapsed.
**
It has been two days since the incident and Ming Mei has been resting and recovering well.
"Why can't I see brother in-law?" Ming Mei questioned once more, her expression sad.
"My lady, how many times will I tell you that the Young master is currently busy with business concerning your father.. he doesn't have time to rest, talk less of seeing you!"
Sisi said as she sighed while Ming Mei sobbed.
Just then, Jai Lin walked in, her hands holding a huge bag which was embroidered beautifully.
"Sisi where should I keep this?" She asked Sisi as she bowed to Ming Mei slightly.
"Just place it on the left side of the carriage!" She said as Jai Lin nodded and made her way out.
Sighing, Min Mei said, "Are we still going for that outing trip?"
"Yes my lady, it's one of the most important tradition of the Ming family.. you used to be always excited to go... Why the sudden change?"
"Guess I'm growing up then," Ming Mei Dodge the question as Sisi then replied, "Well my lady, even though you don't want to go.. you must go no matter what and either way, if you go you'll also get to see the young master."
She said the one thing Ming Mei have been wanting to hear all day. But as soon as that smile appeared on her lips, it immediately vanished.
Ming Mei didn't want to go for the family outing not because she was to lazy or hated it but instead she was trying to avoid what will occur.
There was a particular chapter in the novel were the entire family had gone for an outing and something that wasn't so good to the female lead happened and who caused it? Well the villainess of course.
And that was one of the biggest thing that caused the male lead's hatred for her grow even more.
If she wanted to save herself then she either go with plan A or plan B.
Plan A: Fine any means to not go for the outing - failed.
Plan B: ignore and stay far away From the female lead at all cost - pending...
If she was gonna survive, then she would have to do it right.
Stay tuned...
