Yan Fei, on this occasion, discarded the route he had taken to arrive and set out to settle scores with Qatar's Al Jazeera English TV Station. Located in Qatar's capital, Doha, the quickest and shortest route there would be through Iraq and the Persian Gulf.

On this route, the Drone would first enter Iraq from the Syrian border near Mosul, then head southwards across the Iraqi airspace and eventually reach Basra in southern Iraq, before entering the Persian Gulf waters through Basra Port. After flying several hundred kilometers over the Persian Gulf waters, the Drone would reach Doha. Since Doha is a coastal city, the Drone wouldn't even need to fly over land to deliver Yan Fei to Al Jazeera English TV Station in Doha.
