The carriage headed towards Beiyu Study Palace, Bai Ruozhu, holding Little Dengdeng, lifted a corner of the curtain to look outside. Little Dengdeng greatly enjoyed watching the outside scenery, entirely disliking the stuffy interior of the carriage.
Almost halfway through their journey, Bai Ruozhu suddenly noticed a person dressed like a peddler. He carried a pole over his shoulder, with fur goods hanging from both ends, including many whole pieces of sable fur, smaller pieces of wild rabbit fur, and even some fluffy fox skins.
Bai Ruozhu's eyes lit up, instantly attracted by the few pieces of black sable fur.
"Coachman, stop for a moment, I'm going to buy something," Bai Ruozhu called out from inside the carriage.
The coachman immediately stopped, and Bai Ruozhu anxiously carried Little Dengdeng out of the carriage, walking towards the fur seller as if afraid he would leave before she reached him.
