Chương 43: Chapter 43: Qetesh

This time, the fleet of the Goa'uld Empire had a capable commander. During the previous space battles, he always relied on the advantage of the superior power of his ships. It seemed that the information about his new ships had already spread among the System Lords, which was something he had expected. A Tel'tak was a relatively small vessel that allowed it, combined with its cloaking technology, to observe anything undetected. It would need precise sensors powered by a superior power source like a potentia or neutrino-ion generator to pick up such small, cloaked vessels. Harry knew that reports about his ships would have reached the High Council of System Lords at this point.

Sending his five ships against a fleet of ten Ha'tak had been a calculated risk on his part. Of course, he was victorious, but not without some losses. He lost the newest one of his ships, Thestral, under the leadership of Azdak, the former leader of Nimbus Prime under the minor Goa'uld Qetesh, who was one of the first ones to become a Magus after witnessing his power. Now he was dead, thanks to the organized response of the Goa'uld Fleet.

Instead of panicking like the previous fleets when his ships appeared out of their cloak, directly destroying half of their fleet, the Ha'tak organized themselves and focused their fire on Thestral, destroying the ship with the focused force of five Ha'tak. Of course, they didn't stop there. As soon as they had destroyed the ship, they targeted the next one. But Harry's fleet wasn't just waiting to be picked out; in the meantime, they had destroyed two other ships. Unfortunately, during the battle, the Phoenix sustained damage under the combined fire of the remaining three ships before they got destroyed too.

At least the Tok'ra kept their part of the deal, as whoever he was protecting on the planet managed to survive. If he didn't have to make sure that the people on the planet would survive, he would have chosen a different strategy. waiting until the Ha'tak would split up to bombard the planet's surface before picking them one by one in a single battle.

But now he had a detailed list of Goa'ulds, their domains and planets, hierarchy, and strength. only for the price of one ship with six Magi, the control crew, and their replacement, 100 Jaffa deaths, and another ship needing repairs.

Although he had the technological advantage, the Goa'uld still outnumbered him. A disadvantage that already led the Ancients to losing a war and their race losing interest in the lower planes of existence After all, the Wraith had also outnumbered them in the Pegasus Galaxy; they may have won every battle thanks to their technology but couldn't win the war because one Wraith ship was replaced by three new ones.

And the Goa'uld would work together if the threat was big enough; it has happened before. They fought together against Anubis, one of the cruelest and most dangerous Goa'ulds that ever existed, against the Asgard, a foe with far superior technology, and managed to survive only through their sheer numbers.

Right now, Harry wasn't even close to the power the Asgard could exert, so he had no chance of beating the combined force of the System Lords. That's why he needed to stay in the shadows for now and join the High Council of System Lords. Not because he wanted to rule the Empire with them, but because he needed the protection of this position for now. Before he had the force to handle over a thousand mother ships, it would take quite a few years, especially if he was planning to raise the technological level of his fleet.

The added complexity would make ships a greater effort to build, coupled with the fact that he was planning for greater ships, at least around the size of the Aurora Class, as the staple of his fleet, which would make the construction effort and time even bigger.

But this was a matter of the future; right now he had other things to do, like attend to his new guest. Arriving at the Gate Facility of Nimbus Prime, Harry directly headed with his guards towards the involuntary guest quarters.

Inside the room was quite a beautiful woman; she had an attractive dark-haired face with a fit and hot body. Not only was she pleasant to the eyes, but she was also clothed that way, her boobs pushed up by a skimpy dress, showing off what she has.

It would be a beautiful sight if it weren't for the ugly and angry look marring her face, including the typical glowing Goa'uld eyes. In a deep voice, she said, "Are you the maggot that has taken over my world? How dare you disrespect the domain of Qetesh?"

"So you are Qetesh? I have heard quite a lot about you," Harry replied calmly, not intimidated at all as he walked into the room.

"Yes, I am the god Qetesh! And you will pay for your transgression as an underlord to the system, Lord Camulus, a member of the High Council of the Goa'uld. This won't go unpunished. If you fall to your knees down now and serve me, maggot, I will spare your pathetic life."Qetesh threatened while trying to manipulate him into submission.

Harry just chuckled before his own eyes began to glow in the same way as a Goa'uld, his voice deep and intimidating. "I don't think so, little god."

"You are a Goa'uld? I couldn't feel your symbiote," Qetesh replied, a bit baffled. Usually, a Goa'uld would be able to feel the symbiote and naquadah in the blood of another, but thanks to Harry's natural concealment, she wasn't able to at all.

"Oh, don't worry about that; I have hidden that," he replied.

Before realization came to Qetesh's face, as she looked around, observing the architecture that was resembling the new threat for the Goa'uld Empire, The ships that were appearing out of nowhere were more powerful than any ships in the Empire, destroying, plundering, and disappearing again.

"Who are you? Are you trying to become an enemy of the System Lords?" She asked, still trying to be intimidating, but Harry could clearly feel the nervousness.

"I am the System Lord Osiris. I returned to take my rightful place," Harry said, before adding, "But that doesn't matter; you won't leave from here. You are a guest of mine."

"Camulus will come looking for me. You may be hidden, but not for long!" Qetesh replied with newfound confidence.

"Oh, I know, but by then, we will be long gone. And you will come with us until we have a use for you. Maybe someone will exchange you for something valuable," he answered, uncaring about the threats before he took a deeper look at her with his magic. "Or I will find another use for you. What a pleasant surprise."

Qetesh was quite like Morrigan, hiding her true nature from the other System Lords, building up her power, and bidding her time until she was strong enough to become a System Lord herself without being forced to become a Goa'uld Queen for someone else.
