Chương 35: Chapter 35: Rigged Potentia

"What is wrong with the potentia?" Pansy asked as she observed it from its place on one of the scanners in a laboratory on Nimbus Prime.

"It is covered in a volatile compound that would react explosively to an electrical charge. If we were to use it in such a state, the blast and energy discharge would take out at least a solar system," Harry replied as he studied the data from the scan.

"Sounds like something a Goa'uld would do. If they can't use it, at least take an enemy with it out," Hathor said. She herself had often used that tactic. Rigging something and placing explosives on it were all common tactics to not allow your enemies any advantage.

"Can you remove it?" Pansy asked. This was important. A third Potentia would allow them to have much more playroom, either to fully power the City Ship and safely use its hyperdrive capabilities to bring it back to the Milky Way or gain another powerful vessel if one of the Aurora Class Ships or other City Ships was still working, or at least in a condition where they could be repaired.

Technically, they already could get to Atlantis and didn't need to fear losing it on arrival through the powerful shield collapsing and the city being destroyed by the power of the ocean. They could retrieve the city in almost perfect condition if none of the shields collapsed and no section of the city was flooded. All they would have to do would be some maintenance on the city, and they were fine.

But without a third potentia, they were at risk of losing whatever else was out there. There could be other potentia in the Pegasus Galaxy, but they had no way to be sure. After checking over 300 locations here, they only found 3.

"With the technology currently accessible to us, Very hard. Luckily, we have magic. Although it will take time and precise work, We can transmute the compound bit by bit, layer by layer, until it's completely removed from the potentia," Harry said. "I will set a team of the Magi with the best understanding of alchemy onto it."

"So the Atlantis Expedition will proceed. Shouldn't we construct some intergalactic hyperdrives? We could need the support of some ships in Pegasus," Pansy asked.

"I don't think so. Even with an intergalactic hyperdrive, we won't be able to construct any ship that is strong enough to contend with the Wraith. Any hyperdrive we build right now could fall into their hands and won't be fast enough to reach Pegasus in a meaningful time either way. The journey would take time without the help of more advanced construction technologies. We will only be able to do that once we have Atlantis," Harry summarized their main problems. "It's better to solidify our position here. Get Atlantis and anything else that wakes up with the city, and get out of there until we are stronger and able to recover more things from there."

"I believe this is the wisest course. Our ship production is running, and the potentia is getting taken care of. What should we do until we are ready for the Atlantis Expedition?" Hathor asked, a smile gracing her beautiful face.

"There are a few things to take care of. I have another attack in mind once I receive the intelligence I am waiting for. The Phoenix is keeping an eye on the situation. For now, I would like you to bring me the female Jaffa under your command called Mingala," Harry decided with a smile while placing a kiss on Hathor's lips.

"Oh, my beloved. You are insatiable. Aren't your two concubines enough for you? I heard you already picked up a third on Earth," Hathor teased while Pansy scoffed.

"Granger…" Pansy muttered, disappointed.

"Don't worry, Pansy. I won't let you down. As much as Hermione shares a deep bond with me, you and I possess thousands of years of shared memories. And I promise she won't look down on you either for what you've gone through." Harry pacified his first concubine, pulling her into a deep hug and placing a kiss on her forehead before replying to Hathor, "And it isn't for that. I need to talk to her. She is quite valuable."

"If you say so, I will get her." Hathor nodded, leaving while Harry spent some time with Pansy.

Soon Hathor returned with Mingala, her host, a well-looking brown-haired woman. "Leave us alone. I want to chat with her alone. I want to get to know her a bit better," Harry said towards Hathor and Pansy, who followed his wish.

As soon as they were alone, Mingala asked him, "How may I serve you, your Majesty? This Jaffa is in your service."

Harry just chuckled before replying in a non-hostile tone, "Nice act. But I know that you are Tok'ra."

As soon as the words came out of Harry's mouth, the female Tok'ra pulled a Zat'nik'tel out of her pocket and tried to shoot him, but Harry had already wandlessly disarmed the weapon.

"Not so aggressive, Mingala. I don't want to fight or kill you. All I want is to talk to you. So what are you doing here?" Harry asked calmly and evenly.

"I am here to do as all Tok'ra do: bring about the end of this reign of madness that is the Goa'uld," Mingala said with the deep voice of a symbiote. "Do what you want with me; I will give you none of the secrets of the Tok'ra, and I will die before I betray them."

"Ehh, sure. Good for you. No need to be so dramatic," Harry replied with a small grin. "I am not an enemy of the Tok'ra. As you can see, I am treating my people fairly, not like slaves. I am improving their lives. I don't agree with the wasteful methods of the Goa'uld; the Sarcophagus has clearly greatly affected their minds."

"And still, like them, you are pretending to be a god," Mingala pointed out.

"I agree the Goa'uld are not gods. But what is a god? I can manipulate reality with just my will. Isn't that a good argument for being a god? Or do I need to ascend first into a higher plane of existence—maybe have a whole galaxy worshipping me—to be considered a god? The word God is just a matter of definition; you can call me Leader, King, Emperor, or Ruler instead," Harry said unbothered. "It doesn't matter. I know right now the Tok'ra won't consider entering an alliance with me, so I am offering an exchange."

"What do you need of the Tok'ra?" Mingala asked, looking at him.

"There are two things. I was quite out of the loop for a while; intel on the Goa'uld, like who rules which world, what their plans are, who sits on the High Council, and so on, would be nice. And secondly, I would like a piece of technology from you; you call it Goa'uld's Bane. I am ready to pay a fair price in exchange for actual intelligence and the knowledge on how to extract a symbiote safely," Harry offered before taking Mingala's hand and apparating with her into the Gate Facility.

"Send her wherever she wants to go," he ordered, and he threw something to Mingala. "This is an encrypted long-range communicator of my own design. Send me your answer if the Tok'ra accepts the deal."
