With each new level he achieved, the battle against the monsters became slightly easier.
Unlike regular dungeons, the system dungeon had a monster respawn timer. Monsters on the first floor would respawn when he was dealing with monsters on the second floor, and then the second-floor monsters would respawn when he went back to the first floor.
To be honest, it was quite a clever system.
Jin-Woo went back and forth between the first and second floors until his level stopped increasing.
He didn't know when he'd have another chance like this, so he wanted to make the most of it.
Not only did the respawn mechanic help, but their behavior didn't make them seem like living creatures either. They fought like enemies in games, executing previously programmed attacks.
Once he had learned their patterns well, he could predict their attacks.

As the next opponents fell, Jin-Woo looked at their titles floating above them even in death.

Now the names of the monsters, which were previously red, had changed to white.
He noticed that the color of monster names changes depending on the level of threat they pose.
White means low, orange means dangerous, and red means very dangerous.
Jin-Woo opened the status window, looking closely at his level.

He became much stronger than before. Considering the fact that initially each of his stats was 10 and now it is over 20, he has become at least twice as strong.
However, even in his current state, he wasn't sure if he could handle the boss on the third floor.
Even though the path to the third floor was wide open, there was a reason he spent so much time between the first and second floors.
He looked at the stairs leading down, pursing his lips.
On the stairs, at a certain point, it became so dark that he couldn't see anything anymore.
He felt a dangerous coldness emanating from that place.
As his statistics increased, and in that, his senses improved, he could feel the danger coming from the next floor.
Additionally, his sword was in really bad shape. There were more cracks, a significant dent on one side of the blade, not to mention the dried blood on it that wasn't doing any favors for its sharpness.
A small amount of anxiety was good for maintaining the highest level of readiness. His current anxiety was not yet a fear that was bothering him.
Holding the sword in his hands, Jin-Woo slowly walked down the stairs.
Although visibility on this floor was even worse than on the previous two, Jin-Woo had a strange feeling that he could see no worse on it.
Walking carefully down, he came across platforms with trains stopping next to them. But next to the platforms, instead of the tracks on which the trains ran, there was a huge mass of black water.
Very foul-smelling black water, it's worth adding.
This place definitely looked like a full-fledged swamp.
There were even more vines, moss, and grass around him than on the previous two floors.
Before Jin-Woo could get anywhere, a long dark shape emerged from said murky water.
It was so fast in the background that for a few seconds after it appeared it was just a blurry shape.
At the last moment, he managed to block the blow coming at him.
A strike delivered by a tentacle?
Or... tail.
The force of the blow was so great that Jin-Woo was sent flying backward, hitting the wall.
When he fully regained his senses after the impact, he noticed that his sword had broken.
After the boss's first blow, the sword broke.
Bloody hell!
He had expected that a boss fight might be tough, but he didn't anticipate his sword breaking after just one hit.
He had wrongly assumed that gaining a few more levels would make a difference, but the name of this creature before him was still in red.

The snake was actually navy blue. Additionally, it was very long, probably about ten meters long. Its terrifying eyes glowed yellow in the darkness, and its forked tongue kept tasting the air as it slipped out of its mouth.
Without waiting for anything, the snake rushed at Jin-Woo, opening its mouth in which two large curved venomous fangs gleamed like swords.
A cracked sword cannot pierce these shiny navy blue scales. Considering the strength of the boss's first hit, fists won't be of much use either.
Jin-Woo had to attack quickly and with great force, all while not attempting to break through that nightmarish defense because it would be futile.
As Rasaka lunged toward him, Jin-Woo swiftly twisted his body to avoid the attack. At the same time, he maneuvered his movements to position himself behind the snake's head. Once he succeeded, he grabbed it with both hands and squeezed.
He had to finally cut himself off from his past.
NO. It may not cut off. He had to distinguish it from his current life with a thick line.
Forgetting this past will do him no good. But separating yourself from it, by all means. But to succeed, he had to survive here.
He had to win.
Jin-Woo's strength statistic approached 50. He applied significant pressure to the snake's arteries. Unable to escape from his clutches, the snake writhed and thrashed in pain. Faced with the monster's resistance, Jin-Woo gritted his teeth and strengthened his grip, realizing that his attempts to harm it were working.
Even when the snake hit the walls and floor, trying to get rid of Jin-Woo from its body, he stubbornly stuck to it, digging into the scales with a trowel.

He tasted strength.

Jin-Woo released the lifeless body and crawled a bit further, sitting down and using the dead boss as support.
He was breathing heavily, and his heart was pounding like mad.
After a few seconds, when he realized what he had done, he started laughing, unable to believe his own actions.
He had defeated the boss.
Alone.
He had defeated his first boss all by himself.
Just a week ago, his highest achievement was killing a single goblin. And two goblins posed a significant threat to him.
And now he was here, sitting beside the corpse of a monster at least five times stronger than an ordinary goblin.
He never dreamed he would do something like this.
He had never dreamed he would achieve something like this.
A long time ago, he had stopped dreaming about making a big profit or defeating a boss, probably after his third or fourth raid, when he returned battered, bruised, and with only a handful of spoils from the raid.
