"I know, Phi," Anurak replied solemnly.

No one was more worried than him about his own school situation. He planned to spend the whole weekend reading. His textbooks and notes were already in the car. This was why he quickly lied to King that his Aunt was expecting him in town.

"It's good that you know," Sud muttered.

Since Anurak ran away and came back, Sud changed towards him. He was cold and not as carefree with Anurak again. He stopped asking him to cook for him and even when Anurak took the initiative to send food to Sud's room, Sud told him not to do so again. Anurak didn't know whether to be happy or sad about this. He wasn't sure if this was because of King or if Sud was still angry with him. This was the reason why he wanted to approach Sud through Eshin. That way, he could be guaranteed some prospect of success.
