Chương 71: Muhammad's interview: Part 1

(DD News)

(All India Radio)

Recently, various acts against muslims by the current government have been brought up in all sorts of media and Congress Party.

Punjab, which has been recently become an orange zone, with many parts green, has shown that the Muslim population is now very low compared to before 1947. In prisons, more than 6 million people are jailed currently, with majority in the crime of riots and murders, and 80% of them being muslims.

(Red zone: Danger, Orange zone: Tensions, Green zone: Great)

There are barely any muslim landlords in Punjab, and the majority of the acquired land is under the government, and the resettling of Sikhs and Hindus is going on.

Moreover, the attacker of the Prime Minister was also a Muslim.

That's why, the Home Minister Muhammad S. Ansari, has arranged for a interview to clear the matter.

"First of all, welcome Home Minister ji for agreeing for the interview on our request."

"It's my job. I need to continuously talk to the people of the country to let everyone know what is happening, why is happening. This came after the allegations of BJS being Anti-Muslim, so I think the questions will be regarding that. That's why I came to the interview instead of Satyankar ji. I am more knowledgeable and have more experience in this field."

"Then I will go straight to the questions. First of all, during the Code of Conduct, or any election promises outside of the time period, talking about religion and caste leads to immediate cancellation of candidacy permanently, and during the Code of Conduct period, additional jail from 10 years to 50 years.

I will read the data.

100 candidates of BJS, 367 of INC, and 650 of RJS were disqualified in the elections last year.

But, why is it that talking about religion in politics is also not banned? Wouldn't it be logical to ban such things altogether?"

"Well... First of all, I will make some things clear for the audience before answering the question. By the data you mentioned, if someone was thinking that since we were in power, we targeted opposition more, that's wrong.

Election commission is an independent body. In every campaign, every candidate had to inform the organisation about the timings of the campaign. And everyone had a official with a recording device accompanying them, along with a worker of an opposing party to make sure that the election official isn't bought off.

The Election Commission listened to every recordings from each constituency in front of all the candidates, and then the decision to disqualifiy them in front of the courts.

We plan to bring a special court for political cases in the near future to not burden the general courts by the way.

So, now that it is clear that we didn't do anything to disqualifiy opposition candidates, let me answer your question.

Why shouldn't talking about religion not banned? Well, my goal is to remove the need altogether within 20-25 years, but right now, talking about religion is very important.

More importantly, about the evils of the religions, and how to reform them.

How can the things like casteism and untouchability be removed without talking about them. While caste system and untouchability has penetrated the entirety of the Indian society, and all religions have it, religions do have an effect on it.

I will give you an example. I am from the Mosair sect of Islam. Like Ahmediyas, and many sects, we aren't treated like Muslims. We are untouchables for the other sects which consider themselves to be of higher caste.

If I remain silent on it, will this go away? Or become more institutionalised?

That's why it is important to talk about it."

"Hmm. The next question is actually making lots of headlines actually.

Punjab, especially the western side, had majority of muslims. But now, they aren't in majority. The jails are filled with 80% muslims. And the government has taken over the majority of land in western Punjab. What's the justification behind this?"

"First of all, you have to understand that why 80% of the prisoners are muslims, and why majority of the land is now under the government and being leased to the farmers.

The majority of the landowners in that area voted for Pakistan, and directly participated in genocides.

You should have heard of the proverb that empty head is the home for devils. I will further expand it to empty head and full belly is the home for devils.

The landlords didn't have to care about going to sleep hungry. And since there aren't any source of entertainment, all they thought about is religion. How to kill the 'kaafirs' and steal their lands.

Why was Arabian ideological islam so successful in destroying so many cultures? Because the Arabians who wrote the rules were geniuses of psychology and conquest. They made any source of Entertainment as bad. They made anything orher than thinking about god 24×7 bad.

And, the wrote their books in such a way to stroke the ego of the people they have converted, and use it to either kill or convert anyone not from their ideology.

There is no need to sympathesize with the monsters in the jails. They have murdered the people who worked on their farms in cold blood. They aren't Muslims, they are, plain old monsters.

Muslims are those who protected the farmers on their lands. And there are various cases on it.

The media and politicians are quick to see one side of the story to fit their agenda, while conveniently ignoring the other side because it doesn't fit their agenda. Has any media outlet other than DD News covered about the true muslims, who are truly peaceful and have protected their people?"

"...Not to my knowledge."

"Hmm. It doesn't matter what religion you think you are in. Rioting, killing people, destroying others' properties, all these things will land you into jail."

"The next question is regarding jail. Many news outlets, especially internationally, that people in jails weren't allowed to vote or contest elections. Many have branded our democracy as unhealthy, and leaning towards dictatorship. What do you think about it?"

"The concept of democracy in the west came from Greek philosophers. The concept of democracy in our country came from the beginning of our initial formal civilisations that we have found till now, the Indus Valley Civilisation.

While there may be even older civilisations than the Indus Valley, in India itself, it is undeniable that it was the first form of democracy. There was no kings and queens.

And even our panchayats are older democracy than the Greeks.

Imagine this. In your village, one person murdered your neighbour, and shouts that he will murder anyone who doesn't submit to his ideology. Will you let him stand in the elections for Surpunch so that he can gain more power, and murder more people a lot easily?"

"Absolutely not."

"And will you allow his followers who murder in his name to vote for a Surpunch?"

"No."

"Then here's your answer. India, and Asia as a whole is a lot complex than the countries from which the international media belong. And, the notion that media is this champion of information and justice is absolutely bullshit.

Aside from a small minority, majority of them are propaganda outlets for the companies and corporations that give them money to sustain."

"Thank you for the answer. The next question is about the growing diplomacy with Egypt-"

"I can't answer on that. I am a domestic affairs guy. You should interview our foreign minister for things outside India. Ask me anything about inside India."

"Okay... BJS has been doing a good job in bringing down the riots. But, is it really good to arrest them all? The prison population has already reached more than 40 lakhs."

"We can't let the 40 lakh rioters outside the jail too, can we? That will put our population of 40 crore in danger. We have been thinking about ways to make our judicial system faster and more efficient, along with expanding it."

"Overpopulation has led to poor living conditions in the jail, which are rather inhumane."

"I agree with that. But tell me, what can we do right now? We are reliant on food exports right now, our cement and other construction industry will reach its limit in 10-12 years at the rate we are growing, and the innocent people are actually living in multi-dimensional poverty. We have to focus our resources on making things atleast livable for our people first before thinking about people who disrupt peace and development."
