"Zach?" Sonia said. Her voice was calm and relaxed like the beating of her heart.
"Mhm," she let let out.
Zach was squeezing their bodies against each other too tightly. It was hard for her to breathe.
"Miss Sonia..."
"Sonia… Can I call you that now?"
"You can," she said while scanning the room to look for clues that led to his behavior.
"Thank you."
Zach let go and led her to the sofa. Then, he sat without letting go of her hand.
"Come, sit, Sonia," he said as he patted his lap.
"I refuse."
Her eyes sharped as she studied his figure. The vibe he's emitting now, felt more dangerous than what she felt from his shadow.
His presence was commanding and dominating. He's not the Zach she knew.
Sonia pulled her hand away from his. "I'm leaving now," she said as she placed the paper bags on the table.
