Collins jumped into the ruined city which surface was more than 300 metres below.

Looking up, he saw the large black snake lunge in after him and he focused on the ground and dismissed his sword.

As he got close to the ground he infused spirit energy into the shield as he tilted it to the side a bit.

The shield released a pulse blast that shifted Collins' body to the side and the snake which opened it's mouth to eat him crashed onto the ground.

Collins immediately began to run.

There were multiple houses made out of bricks that looked like they were made out of sand. Everything was destroyed in the place and it was deserted. There were a few houses which were intact but we're empty.

Collins hid behind a building and then the loud shrieking of the snake reached his ears.

There was no way he would be able to take on the snake with his current abilities.
