In the midst of the digital battlefield, Jun's calm demeanor concealed his excitement. "It's nice," he remarked, his eyes fixed on the intricate dance of the Gunpla around him.

Ryousuke, however, was determined to take things to the next level. "Now, let's start the juicy part," he said, his voice laced with anticipation. "Let's fight."

With those words, Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken surged forward, charging at Shino's Exia, which was struggling to maintain stability. Shino, his focus sharpened by the impending clash, did his best to defend himself, maneuvering his Gunpla to evade the oncoming assault.

Not one to stand idle, Jun propelled his Gunpla forward, swinging its mace with calculated precision, aiming to strike Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken. Ryousuke, ever observant, couldn't help but comment on the formidable weapon Jun wielded. "That's a pretty big weapon you got there," he remarked, a hint of amusement in his tone.

Jun, thoroughly enjoying the immersive experience, grinned. "Well, it's enough to finish you," he retorted, his enthusiasm fueling his confidence.

With practiced ease, Jun manipulated the orb-like consoles floating around his hands, directing his Gunpla's attack. His strike hit home, the mace connecting with Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken. In retaliation, Ryousuke's Gunpla swiftly countered, slashing Jun's Gunpla with a laser sword. The impact was significant; Jun's Gunpla's shoulder bore the brunt of the attack, resulting in visible damage.

Recognizing the danger, Jun swiftly retreated, his tactical retreat allowing him to reassess the situation. Meanwhile, Shino, having mastered the controls, closed in on Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken. With precise movements, he unleashed a barrage of bullets and lasers from his Exia, aiming for vulnerable points on the enemy Gunpla.

Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken clashed with Shino's Exia, the metallic sounds of their weapons meeting filling the room. Jun, having regrouped, reentered the fray, his Gunpla swinging its mace with precision and determination.

Amidst the battle, Mikey, Draken, and Eugene observed with a mix of awe and excitement. Mikey, always quick-witted, couldn't help but cheer on his friends. "Go, Shino! Show him what you're made of!" he shouted, his enthusiasm evident in his voice.

Draken, leaning forward with intense focus, analyzed the battlefield with a strategist's eye. "Ryousuke, you better watch out! Shino's not holding back," he remarked, his tone carrying a mix of warning and camaraderie.

Meanwhile, the battle raged on. Shino's Exia, having found its rhythm, countered Ryousuke's attacks with agility and precision. "Your Zaku might be tough, but my Exia is faster and more agile," Shino taunted, his voice determined.

Ryousuke, undeterred, grinned. "Speed isn't everything, Shino. Let me show you the power of the Zaku!" With that, he unleashed a barrage of missiles from his Gunpla, forcing Shino's Exia to dodge and weave through the onslaught.

Jun, having recovered from the earlier assault, joined the fray once more. "I won't let you off the hook that easily," he declared, his Gunpla lunging forward with renewed vigor.

In the midst of the clash, Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken spun gracefully, narrowly avoiding Jun's attacks. "You're quick, Jun, but you'll need more than speed to defeat me," Ryousuke retorted, his voice filled with confidence.

Jun's determination blazed like a star. His fingers moved skillfully across the controls, guiding his Gunpla, Barbatos, with finesse and precision. As he thrusted forward in a full-throttle charge, particles erupted from the Gunpla's shoulder, creating a trail of brilliant light in its wake.

With a swift and powerful swing, Jun's mace struck Ryousuke's Zaku Kraken. Ryousuke, displaying impressive reflexes, managed to evade most of the attack, but the mace grazed the Zaku's arm, causing visible damage. The impact resonated through the digital battlefield, a testament to Jun's strategic prowess.

"Barbatos," Jun whispered, the name rolling off his tongue like a cherished memory. In that moment, a fragment of his past life surfaced, a distant recollection of a robot from an anime called Barbatos. It was a name he had heard before, a connection to a world he had once known. He recalled snippets of conversations with his college friend Orga, who had been an avid fan of the anime. Orga used to talk passionately about the battles, the heroics, and the dreams of piloting a mecha like Barbatos.

A bittersweet smile tugged at Jun's lips as he reminisced about his past life, even as those memories slipped further away from his grasp. The fleeting recollection infused him with a sense of purpose, a reminder of the adventures he had experienced and the dreams he had shared with others.

Jun's Gunpla stood tall, its movements reflecting the determination of its pilot. Jun and Ryousuke locked in a tense showdown. As they prepared for their next clash, the virtual particles around their Gunplas shimmered, intensifying the dramatic atmosphere.

Ryousuke couldn't help but acknowledge Jun's impressive maneuvers. "Those are some nice moves," he commented, his competitive spirit undiminished.

Jun, however, was determined to push the limits of his Gunpla's capabilities. "Let me show you more," he declared, his eyes gleaming with determination.

Just as the excitement peaked, an unexpected turn of events interrupted the battle. The particles abruptly shut down, and their Gunplas slowly descended onto the table. Ryousuke and Jun exchanged puzzled glances, trying to understand what had just transpired.

Confused, Ryousuke and Jun glanced around, trying to make sense of the situation. It didn't take them long to identify the culprit. There, holding the power switch in his hand, was Mikey, his expression a mix of innocence and guilt.

Their confusion quickly turned to shock as they realized the culprit. Mikey, who had been watching the battle, held up the disconnected power switch with a sheepish grin. "Guys, I accidentally pulled it out," he admitted, his tone lighthearted.

Ryousuke, Jun, Shino, Draken, and Eugene, who had been watching the battle unfold, all reacted simultaneously. In a chorus of exasperation, they cried out, "Mikeyyyy!!!" Their frustration was met with Mikey's sheepish grin.

In the cozy ambiance of the restaurant, the group settled around a table, their excitement from the earlier Gunpla battle still lingering in the air. Mikey, though reluctantly, handed money to the waiter, his expression marked by unwillingness. Shino, ever quick with his words, couldn't resist commenting, "Well, you brought it upon yourself, Mikey."

Frustrated by the situation, Mikey retorted, "Shut up," his annoyance evident.

Sitting down beside Mikey, Jun, the ever-supportive friend, placed his arm around Mikey in a friendly hug, attempting to cheer him up. A small, genuine smile found its way onto Mikey's lips, appreciating the gesture of camaraderie.

Draken, always the observant one, expressed his surprise, "Well, I wasn't expecting Gunpla to be this cool."

Ryousuke, with a glint of excitement in his eyes, chimed in, "Gundam battles are amazing! The way those mobile suits move and fight, it's like they have a life of their own."

Eugene, addressing Jun, praised his skills, "Jun, you controlled it like a pro out there."

Jun, modest and appreciative of the compliment, replied, "Thanks man."

As the waiters brought their meals and drinks, the table became adorned with an array of delicious dishes and beverages. Amidst the lively chatter, Ryousuke, sipping his drink, turned his attention to Jun, curiosity gleaming in his eyes. "Jun, what was the thing you said while destroying the arm of the Zaku?" he inquired, intrigued by Jun's choice of words during their Gunpla battle.

Jun, recognizing the moment, pulled out his Gunpla from his bag and proudly displayed it in front of everyone. With a gleam of pride in his eyes, he explained, "Well, I named it Barbatos."

Shino, mischievous as ever, couldn't hold back his laughter. "Barbatos? Seriously?" he teased, finding amusement in the name.

Ryousuke, unfazed by Shino's remark, playfully smacked him on the back of the head. "You can name your Gunpla anything you like. Gunpla stands for freedom, after all," he said, his tone teasing but affectionate. He turned his attention back to Jun, his expression thoughtful. "Barbatos, huh? I like it. It has a certain ring to it."

Draken, who had been observing the conversation quietly, nodded in agreement. "Barbatos," he muttered under his breath, testing the name on his tongue. He found a strange resonance in the word, as if it held a deeper meaning.

Intrigued by Jun's Gunpla choice, Ryousuke couldn't help but express his curiosity. "Jun, can I take a closer look at your Barbatos?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with interest.

Jun nodded, handing over his Gunpla to Ryousuke, who examined it carefully. As he inspected the model, Ryousuke shared his observations with the group, his voice filled with fascination. "When I bought it, I didn't research it much, but it seems to have a different frame than most Gunplas," he began, his tone thoughtful. "Its frame feels like a mixture of Exia and Star Burning. And, something peculiar I noticed – it has different feet than normal Gunplas; it has heels."

Shino, always ready to find humor in any situation, couldn't resist laughing at the mention of heels. However, this time, he didn't escape Draken's notice. In a swift motion, Draken smacked Shino on the back of the head, silencing his laughter. The room echoed with the group's laughter and playful banter, the unique features of Jun's Barbatos adding a touch of excitement to their Gunpla discussions.

Eugene, always one to keep track of schedules, voiced the collective surprise, "Well, Ryousuke, when are the regionals about to start?"

Ryousuke, seemingly unfazed, calmly replied, "In 1 month." His nonchalant tone contrasted sharply with the shock reflected in the eyes of his friends.

Mikey, trying to make sense of the situation, exclaimed, "I thought we had some time until the regionals!"

Ryousuke, maintaining his composure, explained, "Well, we don't. Anyway, I believe we have enough time. I've got a pretty good plan." His confidence in their abilities served as a source of reassurance, calming the nerves of the group.

Changing the subject to offer some positive news, Ryousuke diverted the conversation. "Anyway, Eugene, Draken, and Mikey, you will be participating in the Meijin Cup. It will be after the nationals, so you guys have plenty of time to prepare. I have high hopes for Draken; he has the most chances of winning it. You three will also serve as our backup fighters for the team."

Jun, not entirely familiar with the concept of the Meijin Cup, couldn't help but voice his curiosity. "What's the Meijin Cup?" he asked, looking to Ryousuke for an explanation.

Ryousuke, always willing to share his knowledge, elaborated, "Well, it's a Gunpla building contest where the Meijin will select the best-built Gunpla." He paused, letting the significance of the event sink in. "The Meijin Cup is a prestigious competition in the Gunpla world, where builders from all over showcase their skills. It's not just about battling; it's about the craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation behind building a Gunpla model. Winning the Meijin Cup is a testament to a builder's expertise and creativity."

Jun nodded, beginning to understand the gravity of the Meijin Cup.

Shino, ever the pragmatist, broke the conversation with a practical reminder. "Anyway, guys, can you stop talking? The food is gonna get cold," he spoke, his voice cutting through the discussion and capturing everyone's attention.
