Chương 16: Blazing Assassin
I walked into my motel room and noticed Snow White sitting on the bed, letting her hair down. I walked over to the desk and leaned against it. I looked at Snow White and she looked at me then smiled.
"Y'know...I can probably see why Alice likes rooming with you. It feels so comforting, just looking at you after a long day..." Snow White said and stood up to get ready for bed.
I crossed my arms and smiled at Snow White. "Don't become entranced by me too quickly...I can become very addicting to most women.."
Snow White rolled her eyes and smiled then turned around. She looked back at me. "Mind helping me undress..?~"
I looked at Snow White then closed my eyes and walked toward her. As I stood behind her, I could feel her icy essence radiating from her body. I untied the back of her dress and noticed a marking on her back.
"Can I ask you something..?" I asked.
"Anything.." She answered.
"Fiorello...He works closely with the Queen of Hearts correct? That must mean you know him on a deeper level correct..?" I asked and helped her take her dress off.
"Mhm..." Snow White nodded and let her dress fall to the ground. "He was supposed to be my Prince Charming, but...ultimately betrayed me. I was supposed to become the Queen of Woodland, which is now known as Kingsland City...meaning I was supposed to become the Queen of Hearts, but my stepmother took that away and married the King of Hearts, ultimately using Fiorello to kill me.."
"How did you die exactly?" I asked and stepped backwards from Snow White.
"Poisoned by an Apple from the Tree of Eternity that Fiorello picked at my mother's request. I honestly should've known that my mother would've wanted me dead taken that I can wield seven elements with my Pendant and would see the unforseeable future with the Mirror of Truth. When I was revived by the Goddess of Wonderland, my heart was driven by Wrath...I yearned Justice. All who dared to stand in my way died...their red blood tainted my blade..." Snow White answered.
"She too believes in a perfect world..."
"Her pride is masked by Justice..."
"Those lesser than her will suffer..."
I looked at Snow White then walked closer to her. I placed my hands on her hips and looked at her. "Do you wish to deliver this rightful justice..?"
Snow White blushed a bit and held my hands. "I do..."
I nodded and smiled. "Let go of your pride then... because justice like this...is still evil. We must focus on what's important and not bow to the Altar of Rage..."
Snow White closed her eyes and felt her body becoming warmer. "Leo..."
I turned her around to make her look at me. "I'm serious..."
Snow White stared into my eyes and blushed even more. "I—Alright I'll try..."
I smiled and let her go. "Get some rest, I'll lay down after I get ready.."
Snow White nodded and watched as I walked off.

I woke up the next day and noticed Snow White getting dressed. I sat up and softly sighed. "Morning..."
Snow White looked back at me and smiled. "Good morning...Did I wake you?"
"Nah, you're fine.." I said and smiled then got out of bed.
"Good... I'll be outside. I'll get the others." Snow White said.
I nodded and watched her walk out of the room. I began to get ready for the day and noticed Joker leaning against the desk. "What is it?"
"Cheshur. He's nearby. Expect some trouble." Joker said and crossed his arms.
"Again..? Alright.." I said and sighed then finished getting dressed.
"Cheshur is coming with new tricks. Be on your guard." Joker said and disappeared.
I walked out of the room and noticed some energy felt off. I looked around and noticed a hooded white coat figure in the distance. I walked off and placed my hands in my pockets.
Suimin yawned and held Briar in her arms. "Where's Leo?"
"He's coming. He's probably still getting ready." Snow White said and looked at herself with her mirror.
Kaguya looked up and noticed it was cloudy. She nodded and looked back, noticing me walking forward. She smiled and walked over to me. "Good morning~"
"Good morning, Kaguya." I said and smiled as she held my arm.
Alice pulled Kaguya off me and sighed. "I'm no longer high so I'm not letting you get too buddy buddy with him..."
"C'mon, you said you're a changed woman...Let the rest of us have fun with him!" Kaguya said and crossed her arms.
I pulled Alice to the side and whispered something in her ear. Alice looked serious and everyone noticed how serious she looked. She nodded and looked at the others.
"Everyone Che—" Alice started then grunted when I pulled her out the way of an underground attack from a fire creature.
"Let's hurry away from the gas station." I said and ran off.
The others followed me. The white coated figure pointed and his army of humanoid fire creatures flew after us, some burrowing underground to chase us.
I looked back and turned around then made clones of myself then they rushed toward the creatures. The creatures easily defeated my clones in a few strikes.
'That confirms it...These aren't Pawns. They are a higher rank. They are pretty fast so they have to be Knight Rank.' I thought to myself.
I continued to run off then my Preflex activated and I dodged crescent waves of fire being launched at us then raised my arms, blocking more waves of fire with my dark energy. The white coated figure appeared behind me and slashed at me. He cut off my head then noticed my body disappear.
"Another clone...? When did he set that one up..?" The figure asked himself. He looked back and noticed black mist around him. "Ahh they are hiding within the mist...interesting..."
I noticed one of the fire creatures approaching me quickly. I parried its attack then countered by slicing its head off. I noticed I gained Wonder Energy from the creature. 'These actually drop Wonder Energy...Who is this person..?'
"I hope you know that you can't hide from me forever, Joker. I'm not letting you reach that workshop. Get that through your thick skull." The figure said as he walked forward then noticed the mist had disappeared.
I looked at the figure and got ready for battle. "It's just us. The others have already gotten too far for you to track."
The figure chuckled then took off their hood, revealing a man with fair skin with rosy hues. He had burgundy hair that was slick back, revealing his widows peak. His ruby red eyes shined as he stared at me with a smirk. His build was more lithe and skinny than Fiorello.
"We heard about how you defeated Fiorello. That is very commendable, but he was just holding back to see how well you would do against him. Now that we know how strong you are, there's no reason to hold back." The man said and snapped his fingers then held his hand out at his side. A circle of flames appeared in front of his hand forming into a chakram.
"His weapon...it's chakrams called Infernal Glory. Those blades are augmented with diabolical flames that can cause insane damage against its foes and burn them to no return." Joker said.
The main wheel was split into two equal halves, both of which are black with a red line through the center. The two halves are connected by the silver handle, which is cross-shaped. Each half has four black spikes with red edges. A symbol shined on the chakram.
"A Wonder Gear. Heh...The Phantom Gear to be exact. Very interesting. That gear is very light and nimble, allowing him to utilize his speed with his combat style. He's definitely has the power of Two Knights combined with that Gear." Joker informed.
I held my katana out at my side and stared at the man. "Who are you?"
"The name's Agni. I hope you have that name burned into your memory because that will be the last name you'll ever hear!" Agni laughed then slid toward me and slashed with his chakram.

I blocked the attack and immediately entered a blade lock with him. "Not using your little minions the attack..?"
"It's more fun to have a fair one on one with my opponents!" Agni said and pushed me away. "Burn away!"
He threw his chakram at me and a wheel of fire surrounded it. I noticed the wheel moving around me quickly then dodged it and blocked the second coming of the infernal wheel. I knocked it back toward him and he caught it. He chuckled and dashed toward me.
I watched his movements then slashed at him, but he jumped over me and threw his chakram down at me. I dodged it and Preflex activated, allowing me to dodge the eruption of fire he caused. I got into my stance and dark energy surrounded my blade.
"You can't escape my flames, Joker!" Agni laughed and summoned three more chakrams around him. He launched them at me then formed a large circle of flames around us. "Dodge this!"
The chakrams began bouncing off the arena walls erratically. I had to be careful because the speed of the chakrams could slice me in half. I watched the chakrams then used my Preflex to deflect one directly at him then dashed toward him. He caught the chakram and chuckled.
[Promotion Possible!]
Agni smirked at me and his eyes shined brightly. "Come at me with everything you've got!"
I promoted myself to a Knight and summoned a lance then began to dish out a flurry of slashes at Agni. He blocked each one then pushed me away. My Preflex activated and I ducked under a chakram then got up and launched my lance at Agni. He blocked the lance and deflected it.
"Is that all you've got? If so, then this battle is over! Burnout!" Agni bellowed then the area beneath us shined and a massive eruption of flames occured. He laughed as the eruption happened.
He also heard a laugh and grunted. He heard a roar and got into his stance. He noticed dark energy shoot up on the air and grunted softly as the wind pushed him backwards. He looked forward and noticed me in my Chaos Unit. The biggest grin curled onto his face and he grew excited.
"The real battle starts now!" I laughed then vanished.
Agni looked back and blocked my strike then groaned as he was knocked backwards. I appeared in front of him and sliced him three times with my dark energy blade then knocked him upwards with my dark energy. He recovered in the air and chuckled.
"This is the power I was hoping to see! The infamous Chaos Unit!" Agni laughed and came down with a slash.
He phased through my body and looked surprised then groaned as I kicked him into the wall of flames. He groaned as a dark energy spike went through his stomach. He fell to his knees and held his stomach. His hair slowly turned into flames then he stood up.
He bellowed and his fiery aura surged powerfully around his body then he dashed toward me. We clashed rapidly and out energies generated shockwaves with each clash. I parried his neck strike and hit him with a tail swipe, knocking him backwards.
[MAX Drive!]
"Checkmate.." I laughed and the core on my chest shined. "Calamity Gleam!"
I launched a powerful beam of dark energy at Agni, striking him then a massive explosion happened. The flaming walls disappeared then once the smoke cleared, Agni fell onto one knee.
"Heh...you got me..." Agni said and stood up slowly. He held his stomach and coughed a bit. He looked at me and smirked. "You're good...but next time it won't be as simple.."
I reverted to my normal form and looked at Agni. He summoned a Purple Diamond Sigil then launched it at me. The sigil entered my body and sparkles appeared around my body.
[Obtained Skill Gear.]
"A Gear that I'm no longer using. You can use it and evolve it up to Dual Gear. Don't disappoint me...Leo." Agni said and walked into a dark portal he summoned.

"Right.." I nodded.
"You can't beat fire with sparks, but you can use those sparks to ignite your flame of potential. Once you ignite that flame, don't disappoint yourself."
