Chương 217: Luo Mo's Deception

[ In the beginning, Kiana hugged Mei from behind because of protection; later, Mei hugged Kiana from behind because of searching. ]

[ Large-scale domestic violence scene: after the Queen tortured Mei, Mei tortured Tuna. It was cruel and abominable, Watch it again! ]

[ Although we are obviously girls who like to sunbathe together so much, Sure enough, we are not suitable to be heroes.]

[ Mei has done everything this time: saved Kiana, saved everyone, and saved Nagazora City. So good! ]

In the final chapter of the main plot, the Live Chat did not stop, and their emotional fluctuations were expressed line by line.

...

The two of them finished their instant noodle demonstration in the office. Luo Mo clapped his hands, ready to wrap up the day's work and head home.

"Alright, Su Lu, I'm heading out. I'll leave the cleanup and everything else to you," Luo Mo said to Su Lu with a smile. He was clearly in a great mood, probably still amused by the player comments he'd seen on the live chat.

"We can call it a day. Let's save the rest of the event story for tomorrow's presentation."

"Hey, boss, I haven't seen Eyo-sensei around lately. Is everything alright?" Su Lu asked, setting down her instant noodles and tilting her head in curiosity.

When it comes to the younger members of the art team, they're always bringing her up to Su Lu. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she seems to understand exactly what they're going for with just a few words.

Her character designs especially... the boss usually approves them without a single change!

Of course, it's a bit strange how the boss never really comments. He just stares at her work with those big eyes and mumbles something about it being "gray."

"Don't worry, she works on a different schedule since she's still young. We don't have anything for her to work on right now, so there's no need to be here in the office every day."

Luo Mo paused with his hand on the doorknob, turned, and looked at Su Lu. "Speaking of which, have you run into any problems or anything?

"Honestly, it's the art team that's running into trouble. They're trying to design this Kongming character, but nothing they come up with seems to capture the feeling they're going for. It's really frustrating them! They keep redoing it, but none of the new versions really feel right." Su Lu frowned, struggling to put it into words.

"Some people in this company... I swear, they're a little messed up. They actually want to make players more.. more emotional, Maybe there's some kind of weird, sadistic boss virus going around the office..."

"Okay, okay, I get the picture. I'll talk to them about it later," Luo Mo said, nodding in understanding and cutting off Su Lu's half-joking rant.

Luo Mo always appreciates when his team really gets invested in the story, especially when they start putting themselves in the players' shoes and figuring out how to deliver the maximum emotional impact.

"Oh, and one more thing – those guys in Operations decided it would be too easy to just give away an S-class Valkyrie. So...they've added a little twist. Players will have to experience Kongming's entire story before they can unlock her."

Luo Mo gave Su Lu a knowing look. She looked a little sheepish, maybe even a bit teary-eyed about the whole situation. Honestly, she wasn't expecting things to get this complicated.

He sighed,

Sure enough, he was still too kind.

"Well, alright then," Luo Mo said, accepting the change.

"Uh... boss?" Su Lu raised her hand, hesitant to speak. She couldn't just let this opportunity slip away. Then it hit her – why did that elegant woman in the burgundy dress ask her about music the other day? It was just a hunch, but her gut told her there was a connection to Luo Mo.

Just as he went to open the door, he was met with a wall of people. His core team members were there, along with folks sent over from Schicksal, and even a few faces from the Anti-Entropy Base.

And there, front and center with her bright blonde hair, was Susannah.

The whole scene was incredibly awkward.

Luo Mo hesitated, then cautiously closed the door and opened it again... but the crowd was still there.

"What's going on? What's the problem?" Luo Mo asked.

"Boss, why is this all we get for lunch?" Susanna held up a container of bell pepper curry, her voice filled with Anger and Frustration.

For some reason she couldn't quite explain, she had found herself pushed to the front of the group.

Now, just like everyone had been buzzing about in the hallway, she felt the need to demand a better explanation from the boss! Her eyes widened, and the boldness of the crowd seemed to rub off on her.

She posted all this to the Schicksal Sosial Media Know-It-All platform, and the Valkyries all over were angry about the lunch situation, slamming the company and its fans.

Luo Mo looked at the crowd, his lips Sip together. He was about to say something, then paused, a faint smile playing on his face.

"What's so funny?" Susanna huffed, feeling a little self-conscious with so many people watching. Then something struck her as odd – the space around them seemed to have suddenly cleared out.

She looked around. The rest of the crowd stood silently a few steps back. Anyone who didn't know better would think they were having some kind of private talk.

Susanna felt a weight settle on her.

On the battlefield, she'd never abandon a fellow Valkyrie. Even if she had to, it would be a moment of shared sorrow, tears, and a bittersweet farewell. Why was everyone here backing away like they were about to face some terrible boss?

Sure enough, the workplace is completely different from the battlefield.

Ugh——, she should have listened to her seniors – and Alvitr too! How was she supposed to handle this situation now? She really didn't want to lose her internship. Susanna lowered her head, feeling a lot less bold than before.

She nervously fiddled with her hands, fingers twisting together as if holding a thousand tangled thoughts.

"Susanna..." Luo Mo began.

"Yes! I mean, here!" She quickly straightened up, ready to take on whatever he asked.

"The whole cafeteria lunch situation... that was Su Lu's idea. She's deep in thought about the next part of the story, so try not to disturb her for now." Luo Mo finished, subtly gesturing towards the closed door where Su Lu was working.

A group of employees were left looking at each other in confusion, but the boss also gave him some advice. Furthermore, with Su's planning ability, this matter may indeed be the work of the other party.

As a result, the conflict quickly shifted.

"I didn't expect Ms. Su to be such a person. I really didn't expect her."

"Susana, please lead us to protest against Director Su Lu again."

"That's right,"

Susanna couldn't help but let out a nervous giggle. This whole situation was a mess, and it was best to focus on her own work for now.

As for what the other party said, not only did she not believe it, but she believed that the people present did not believe what they said either.

Susanna actually had a good impression of Su Lu – the woman had even defended her after that earlier mistake.

Meanwhile, inside her office, Su Lu was clearly in a foul mood. Even with the door shut, she'd overheard the whole conversation outside.

"That rotten boss, shoving all the blame on me! Does he really think I'm just going to take this lying down?" Su Lu growled under her breath.

She had no intention of going out to face the crowd though. They'd shout their accusations for a while, but the whole thing would probably blow over soon enough.

Still, she couldn't help but worry – what if someone did come after her, demanding an explanation? Should she pass the Blame to someone else?

...

As Luo Mo left the company building, he couldn't help but look back with a mix of amusement and concern, This company is becoming increasingly dangerous. Who would have thought his employees would stage a mini-rebellion against him?

Passing by the cafeteria, he decided to peek inside. What he saw was both hilarious and a little disturbing: some people were sobbing over their food, others had blank stares with their spoons moving like robots.

The whole scene reminded him of a zombie movie! Luo Mo quickly grabbed two takeout containers and hightailed it out of there.

Theresa definitely needed a break from that bitter melon juice! It was time to treat her to some real food. Luo Mo practically skipped towards the villa, takeout containers in hand. He couldn't wait to see her reaction!

Tremble, you mere white-haired dwarf!

As soon as he entered the door, he felt a resentful gaze staring at him.

Sure enough, Theresa's face was not very pretty. She weakly took two mouthfuls of rice. As expected, most of it was bitter melon.

Luna made a sad face and stabbed the bitter melon with a fork. The green juice inside gushed out, and it was really fresh. If she continued like this, she would turn into the shape of a bitter melon.

"Is there something else you need from me?" Theresa asked, popping a piece of bitter melon into her mouth and swallowed it in one gulp.

She tilted her head, resting her chin on her hand. Her eyes were red and puffy, clearly showing she'd been crying before.

"Looks like our Academy Principal is quite worried about Her niece," Luo Mo looked at Theresa's expression and clicked his tongue.

???

"What? Still teasing me? I'm in no mood for this today," Theresa grumbled, crossing her arms on the table. "I'm supposed to be the adult here, but in the end, 'I can't do anything' in the game."

"Hush, be careful about becoming the Herrscher next." Luo Mo quickly stopped her.

"Do you also believe that this is a slogan to become stronger? It's true; that's false." Theresa rolled her eyes at Luo Mo.

"Well, we wouldn't want the headmistress of St. Freya to become the next Herrscher... though honestly, it sounds like a pretty effective way to keep Kiana in the classroom. If all the Herrschers were gathered here, she'd never dare try to skip out again!" Luo Mo said it jokingly.

He put down the takeout containers and gently pushed one towards Theresa, the other towards a hopeful-looking Luna.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Theresa asked, looking a little confused.

"Go ahead, I'll just watch," Luo Mo replied with a warm smile.

He poured himself a cup of tea from the table, sat across from it, and took a leisurely sip.

He poured himself a cup of tea from the pot on the table and took a leisurely sip. It was funny how quickly habits could form – he'd left so many little traces of himself around this villa without even realizing it.

Life was like that, full of subtle shifts: in habits, in expressions, in the way you carried yourself.

"Oh, don't say it so ambiguously." Theresa's face was slightly red, and it was hard for people to believe that the bitter green melon juice next to her also contained alcohol.

Clearly, she'd gotten to know the villa's residents quite well during their time together.

The whole reason she'd been keeping a closer eye on him was to prevent any trouble. Now, though, they'd fallen into a comfortable rhythm, learning each other's little quirks and habits. Of course, she'd only admit to doing it for Luna's sake.

"Speaking of which, what's this food? Is this your company lunch today? Ugh, all we had at the academy was that dreaded bell pepper curry. I couldn't even stomach it." Theresa poured a glass of bitter melon juice for Luo Mo as she chattered about the little routines of her day.

But she didn't notice that Luo Mo's face stiffened. He seemed to be adding fuel to the fire.

She completely missed the way Luo Mo's face darkened, practically radiating guilt.

"What a coincidence... what a dreadful coincidence..." he mumbled.

"Hm? What's a coincidence?" Theresa looked at Luna, happily digging into her food, completely oblivious to the awkwardness in the air.

The style, the color of the takeout... something about it felt awfully familiar. Then it hit her. She snatched the lunchbox from Luna's hand and stared at its contents: a nightmare of bell pepper curry. The same stuff they'd been forced to eat at the academy!

Suppressing her rage, she turned to Luo Mo and asked in a deceptively calm voice, "Luo Mo, do you have a problem with me?"

"Absolutely not! I was simply reminding the student aid chief that we should remember the bitter, remember the sweet, and never forget the shame," Luo Mo replied, sounding far too earnest for his own good.

"Would you like to rephrase that explanation?" Theresa narrowed her eyes, her tone growing dangerously low. Anyone could tell she was about to lose her temper.

"Master Academy, only by understanding it can we prevent it. Only by truly understanding the bond between the two can we move towards a better tomorrow."

"Get to the point," Theresa demanded, her voice as cold as ice. Both of them were wearing masks of indifference at this point.

"The first step is easy: create a special class for Herrschers, with Kiana, Mei, and the others enrolled. Then, have them constantly repeat their mantra about becoming stronger to defeat the Honkai. Victory will be just around the corner!"

Luo Mo talked about his plan seriously and did not forget to draw a pie for Theresa. He waved his hand and made tentative plans for her.

"Principal Theresa, think about the power you'd have! With the world's Herrschers under your control, you can achieve anything. Even if you want the throne of the Bishop of Schicksal, it is not impossible."

Theresa looked at Luo Mo, and the two looked at each other.

in her eyes. The other party clearly knew what she wanted to ask, but he was still talking nonsense here.

"One more time – my academy is not a Herrscher training camp!" Theresa gritted her teeth, finally stomping her foot in frustration.

"But remember, Herrschers are girls too. In many ways, they're far more innocent and vulnerable than most," Luo Mo said gently. "If you look closely, those who become Herrschers have all faced terrible tragedies. It's precisely because of their suffering that the Honkai targets them."

"Theresa, aren't these the very people you want to save?" He looked directly into Theresa's eyes, watching her thoughts flicker across her face. "Instead of saying St. Freya accommodates Herrschers, think of it this way: only St. Freya is willing to offer them the sanctuary they need."

"It's just like in the game – you welcomed Mei, and in reality, you accepted Sirin. Theresa, this academy offers Herrschers something the world doesn't: understanding and a chance to heal."

"Is that really true?" A flicker of hope passed through Theresa's eyes. She was genuinely touched by his words, his clear logic tugging at her heartstrings.

"Alright, so what do we do next?" she asked, her curiosity piqued. If she could truly save the world, the academy's reputation mattered less than the bigger picture.

It was clear she was starting to buy into Luo Mo's plan.

He seemed genuine enough. Surely, he wouldn't deceive a dedicated principal like her; sincerity was the key to winning people's hearts.

"Our next step is to find Ana Schariac. There should be someone by that name in the Schariac family."

Theresa stared at Luo Mo silently. His next move was so obvious, he might as well have shouted Ana's name from the rooftops.

"Speaking of which, what were we even talking about?"

"The future of St. Freya, how to make it an even better place!"

"That's not what I remember... Why did you bring that awful bell pepper curry to my students? Explain yourself!" Theresa demanded, hands on her hips, a storm brewing in her eyes.

Clearly, trying to bribe her with sweets plan was a short-term solution at best.

In the end, Luo Mo was ridden by Theresa, and they had a rough time together.

The main reason is that he feels that he is in the Winning side this time. With his current physical condition now, if the opponent does not use Judah, he will definitely not be taken advantage of!

Soo...

CHARGE!!!

"Just a white-haired lolita..." he mumbled under his breath later.
