Chương 13: Late Night Exploration of the Company

Luo Mo knew Fu Hua was suspicious. She might figure out his plans, so the best way to prevent her from interfering was to keep her close.

After the others left, Fu Hua finally spoke.

"Is Schicksal really going to reveal the Honkai to public?" she asked.

"Not exactly," Luo Mo replied. "Schicksal plans to use the game to prepare people. This will help reduce fear and panic, and it will also make Schicksal and the Valkyries look good."

Fu Hua nodded slowly. "So, they're using a game?"

"Yes," Luo Mo said. "The Honkai can't be hidden forever, right? You know that too, don't you, Hua?"

Fu Hua looked confused. "Hua? My name is Fu Hua. No one's ever called me Hua alone." She seemed puzzled, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes, as if the name brought back painful memories.

Luo Mo was taken aback. He hadn't expected Fu Hua's memories to be so fragmented. He knew Otto's disappearance had changed things for everyone, but Fu Hua's memory loss was just one example.

What about their bodies? He had assumed the Herrscher wouldn't be as strong or tricky as in the game, but he forgot that the Valkyries and their equipment would be affected too.

He thought about Himeko-Sensei. She was already experienced in battle, but the side effects of the artificial stigmata in this world were worse! This was a serious problem, and he needed to act fast.

He considered the details carefully. They walked in silence for a while, Fu Hua lost in her thoughts. They stopped in front of a door.

"Let's talk about what happened later," Luo Mo said. "Right now, we need to check on the animation." He opened the door and led Fu Hua inside.

The animation team and Su Lu were working hard when Luo Mo entered. They immediately fell silent, then went back to their tasks. Luo Mo felt a little awkward. It wasn't like he was a stranger, but he realized he had come in a bit too suddenly.

He called the team together and started showing them the samples they had received, guiding them step by step. "This character's costume needs some adjustments... The scene transition should be..."

Fu Hua watched quietly, lost in her thoughts. She had been trying to remember who she was before becoming the Red Kite Immortal. Her memories were like broken pieces of a puzzle.

She wondered if Luo Mo could help her figure it out. As she looked at him, her head ached with the effort of trying to remember...

That Night...

Under the cover of darkness, three Student from St. Freya's snuck into the MiHoYo Studio.

"What if we get caught?" Kiana whispered, a little worried.

"We won't, as long as we're careful," Bronya replied calmly. "Plus, Mei-senpai wants to come too, right?"

Mei spoke up, a bit shyly. "Sorry to drag you into this, Kiana. But this game... it seems like it might be about our future. I want to see what happens next." She felt responsible for investigating, for her father's sake, and was curious about her own fate in the game.

Kiana grinned. "Where Mei goes, I go! And Mei's business is my business!" She thumped her chest for emphasis.

The trio swiftly infiltrated Luo Mo's office. At this late hour, only the dedicated programmers were still burning the midnight oil; the rest had retreated for some well-deserved rest.

Besides, how could an ordinary person pose any obstacle to three powerful Valkyries?

Bronya found Luo Mo's computer and said, "Three minutes to crack the password." Three long, exciting minutes later, they saw the screen light up. There was a folder called "Honkai III." They clicked on it and found a list of chapter names.

The first one was "First Nine Chapters of Plot Revision." But when they opened it, there was only one document with a few sentences.

It talked about adding Himeko-sensei to the story and making an anime called Valkyrie's Table about her. The trio was surprised by the lack of details about the original Main story. They looked at each other in disbelief.

Kiana finally spoke, her voice filled with curiosity. "Maybe Luo Mo has a crush on Himeko-sensei? Is he trying to impress her through the game?"

Mei smiled uncertainly. "Maybe?" She didn't quite believe it.

Meanwhile, Bronya continued her tireless search for information.

With a sigh, she went back to the previous folder and opened the next one, "Beneath the Abyss." It was empty. She then tried "The Other Side of Light and Shadow," but it was also empty. The trio refused to give up and clicked on a few more folders. They were all empty, except for the first one.

"This boss isn't trying to scam us, is he?" Bronya said, her voice flat but her annoyance clear.

Their faces fell, and they sighed in disappointment.

In a quiet room away from the busy office, Luo Mo was thinking about how nice it would be to sleep. The idea of working overtime didn't make sense to him.

Who would give up sleep to work more?

He had recently tried a game that was popular in this world, called "Homu," and was pretty disappointed. The main character was a weird, yellow-skinned rabbit that wasn't cute at all.

Even so, the game was popular, and Schicksal had made a lot of money selling stuff related to it. Luo Mo was confused by people's taste here. It was like their idea of what was cute or pretty was different from his.

He thought about Theresa, who was cute and sweet in her own small way. If they made merchandise of her, Luo Mo was sure it would be a huge hit. He'd definitely buy it (and please don't judge him for that).

Besides Homu, there were other mecha games with good action, but the stories weren't very interesting. The plots were simple, with good guys always being good and bad guys always being bad. There weren't any complex characters or surprising twists.

The first time you play it once it's ok, the more you play it the more boring it gets.

Kallen Fantasy, even though it was basically Otto's personal dream world, had a better story than the other games Schicksal made.

Luo Mo thought about making the whole world into a game, but decided against it. It had too many problems and didn't portray Eastern Demon Foxes (Yae Sakura) well.

He still don't want to face bishop kallen personal problem.

But Luo Mo realized that the bad state of the gaming industry was actually a good thing for him. Since there weren't many good games, his own game could become more popular.

This made him even more sure that making games was important and could change things. It reminded him that even in this boring world, there was always room to create better games.

As for making money? That's secondary, do you all understand the Valkyrie's belief in fighting for the good of the world?
