Chương 58: Bloody Justice [R-18]

[This chapter contains R-18(gore) scenes.]

In a room bathed in vivid red light, a man draped in a red cape with a pyramid emblem on its back stands before another man.

The hue of red remained consistent for all within the room, yet its origin varied greatly from one to another.

Drip, drip, drip.

One source of red emanated from the fabric itself, while the others originated from organic processes, slowly congealing. Each drop, shed from the skin of the man with eyes gouged out by a spoon, carried an iron-like scent.

Thud!

With a thud, the man whose right half of the face consisted only of meat and skin, hanging like a wrinkled paper, was released and thrown aside like trash. He joined the others in the bin, all bearing the same fate.

Stripped skins lay in piles alongside severed arms, legs, and genitalia. Some wounds were clean, while others were deliberately made to inflict extreme pain, to teach the meaning of suffering. Eyes were scattered, meant to be crushed under red boots, their contents spilling like tomatoes, painting the cold metallic ground.

The intestines, removed and flattened, dyed the walls a deep cherry hue, reminiscent of jam, before being hung along the right end of the blood-red covered walls as macabre decorations. The metallic room was permeated with the smell of iron from the blood, mixed with the reek of urine and feces.

"Bring the next one," he quietly uttered, standing before a hook made for impaling the ready-to-freeze meats, his voice barely audible.

At his command, the metallic door, resembling that of a cell, swiftly swung open. A man with a black hood over his head, his hands and feet bound by cold metal chains, was dragged into the room. With each slow, shaky step, he left a trail of his own red painting on the ground.

"You can go back."

"Yes, sir!"

Drip, drip, drip.

His bare hands and feet, already torn bit by bit like a snake shedding its skin, dripped less blood than the whip scars crisscrossing his naked back. Even his genitals were exposed to the cold of the room, without any cover. The chill, reminiscent of just being born, caused his entire body to tremble.

"Haaah, haaah…"

Quick, huffing breaths betrayed his fear, the nausea induced by the air manifesting in sounds akin to someone on the brink of vomiting. His slow steps halted right in front of the bloody hook.

Gloves now stained with a color that gripped him from the nape like a cat. Slowly, opened his mouth, the man wearing a red cape and a neutral emotion mask of the same color, with a pyramid on the forehead.

He spoke slowly as he opened his hood, "Heretic, if you speak, you will stay alive. Otherwise," he turned his head to the corpses.

"Hiiik!"

"You will join your friends on the other side."

"W-What do you want to know?"

"The people behind the incident in Neaire."

"I-I don't know anything about that!"

Pooow!

"Aaaahh!!"

"We know that you are one of the executives of Rebellious, Michael Diad."

"Cough! Cough! I-I'm just a low-level one! I-I don't know anything about Neaire."

"Sigh… Seems like you won't talk, huh?"

"No! No! I am not lying! I really have no idea—"

His pleas, as he turned around, fell on deaf ears with the giant of a man lifting him effortlessly as if he were made of feathers. The sound of his cries echoed in the room, much like those who now lay in silence once had.

"Aaaaahhh!!!"

"You know that this is just the start, right?"

"P-Please! I know nothing!"

"Do you know what they injected into you? You'd probably recognize it if you saw it."

As the torturer continued his explanation, his pleas continued to evade his ears.

"It was the Sense Amplifier, the finest available. Unlike the cheaper models that could only double your senses," he paused, emphasizing his next words, "This one increases them fivefold. So, choose your words carefully."

"I swear on my mother and father's souls, I know nothing!"

Now, there was no need to utter another word. Quietly, he took the pliers and coated them in a deep ocean blue hue.

Michael's fear surged to its utmost limits. He trembled and fought as best he could, despite his entire body feeling as though every molecule had been simultaneously pierced. The word excruciating couldn't even begin to describe the pain he felt. Yet, he continued to struggle in vain.

After all, he had only one life.

His struggle ended more quickly than he had anticipated.

"Aaaahhhhh!!!!"

Thud…

"This is just the start."

Without even blinking, he threw a nail. Then, he moved on to the second, continuing until he had none left in his hands.

"If you speak, you'll be set free, and we'll even provide treatment."

"I—Aaaghh!! Don't… haaah… know!!"

"Sigh... Why do you low-life heretics have to be so stubborn…"

Thud!

The thud echoed from the dropped pliers this time. He then retrieved another device from his pocket, a tool almost every household possessed: a scissor.

"No! No!!"

"Sometimes, justice demands blood."

His hands were careful as he tenderly grasped Michael's left index finger. Like a tailor delicately cutting a crucial piece of cloth, he slowly and gently severed the fleshy finger from its base. The scissors he chose, seemingly not very sharp, were left uncovered by his aura. He struggled to slice through the meat of Michael's shaky hands.

"Aaaaggghhhhh!!!!"

"Just tell me who's behind the explosion!"

---

Another Saturday had arrived. As Leon had mentioned countless times before, this prayer session was incredibly convenient for them. However, this time, they needed to be quick. They had to hop into the car and leave the city during the prayer time.

Still, one hour was quite a bit of time, even for Level 2 kids.

They quickly arrived at the inner parts of the city, where company buildings and all kinds of brand stores existed. It was a regular place for people who had work or wanted to buy anything that they might find in any city. Of course, having quite a few parking garages in such a place was also a must.

In the minus three of a parking garage, their little monster slept quietly. Jet black in color, with wheels larger than those of ordinary cars, it was a handsome little monster made for off-road purposes. It quietly opened its doors to the team of four.

After carefully placing down their package, about the size of a head, Claire took the card from Porna's hands. It might have been a bit challenging for him to drive given his height, unless the seat could be adjusted to fit the driver's height.

Still, for the people of the past, it had always been a strange sight to see a Zeta, a gray alien, driving a car.

While the kids fastened their belts in excitement, the other two minded their own business without a care in the world. The very first thing Porna did was to light a cigarette, as always. Meanwhile, Claire slowly took out a spectacle case.

"Huff. Is that necessary?"

"Don't worry about the small details, old man."

"That looks great on you, Miss Claire."

"Thank you, Leon."

He didn't even mind the gaze he received from the passenger seat on his right, "It doesn't matter what a beautiful woman wears. At the end of the day, she'll shine even in a scrap of cloth."

"Is that so?"

"Haha, thank you."

"You're quite the kid."

The traditional ignition switch of the past had become a thing of the past itself. Now, all cars had square card slots as ignition switches, which is what Claire was holding right now.

Infinitely smaller than a credit card, not even big enough to cover a palm—maybe the little palm of a baby—was this tiny square card.

A golden screen appeared right above the second card and met with the ignition switch. Empty boxes filled with the numbers 1002169, and with a touch to the literal 'start' button, the engines roared to life.

"Don't forget, this one can't stay invisible for too long."

"I know, I know."

"Why?"

"Who has permission to have an invisible car?"

"High-tier guards and clan leaders."

"Yes. This is nothing but reverse engineering, so it's not as perfect as theirs."

"Is it defective?" Leon asked this time.

"No, but we can't risk it. Our journey is a long one. We can't have it fail us midway."

"I see. So, in fact, it's as good as a guard's?"

"Let's say its performance is on the lower side. And there's always a risk of a technological device breaking."

"I see."

Then, Leon thought of something else that earned a thumbs up from Porna, "Borders should have something to detect invisible cars, right? There must be some way to detect them."

"Yes, of course they do."

"Then what will we do?"

"City borders aren't a problem since we can take the long path, circle around them. As for country borders, well, we can always think of something."

"Alright, understood."

From Stone City to Clawor, a border city between Rehtolar and Grewol, was a straight south path. They literally had to keep heading south. Their first destination on this path was Terre City, a city with a sad history far back in the past.

They didn't have time to pass through the city. That's why they planned to circle around it invisibly, or at least that was their intention.

"Hey!"
