The undisguised killing intent made the old man kneel on the spot.
"Don't kill me, Mr. Caleb, don't kill me. I had no idea that kid's skeleton is so powerful!
I thought it was just a Fifth-turn skeleton. Your side should be able to capture it without issue, but I didn't expect it to be stronger than Victor..."
"Pfft!"
The old man was very articulate, and his words only served to rekindle the wrath that had already subsided within Caleb. The Wolf Tooth Club in Caleb's hand came swinging down with force.
Luckily Caleb was still in his right mind; he didn't strike the old man, but slammed the club right next to him. Had he landed that blow on the elderly man, the latter wouldn't have survived.
To Caleb, the old man must live; he's still of use!
Despite the fact that the club didn't kill the old man, the shockwave it issued made all his bones rattle. The old man was left dizzy, with half his body numb and his face paler than ever.
