Chương 7: Lee vs Kazue

Have you ever imagined yourselves as ninjas? I confess that this idea had never crossed my mind until I found myself in exactly that position. Sitting atop the Fourth Hokage's statue, I watched the panorama of the Leaf Village spread out before me like a magnificent yet challenging landscape.

My father had embarked on a journey in search of information, and here I was, about to dive into events that would, in the future, unleash chaos in the ninja universe. I wonder: should I intervene and resolve these issues, or would it be wiser to let fate follow its predetermined course? It feels like I wasn't brought into this context just to be a mere spectator; instead, I have the opportunity to chart new paths.

Exploring every facet of this universe is a rewarding journey. First and foremost, my father, the legendary Jiraiya, a figure who, besides being full of vitality and joy, has his share of quirks, like his eternal perverted side. But I'm deeply grateful for the invaluable lessons he has provided me about the pitfalls of this world.

The transformation that Naruto, the little fox, has undergone is astonishing. From a lonely and rejected soul, she has become someone who cultivates friendships and often shares her constant and restless presence with me. And the best part is that I no longer have to passively watch a narrative in which she acts naively and recklessly; instead, I encouraged her to master the fundamentals of taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu. Nevertheless, the essence of her extroversion remains unchanged, a hallmark of her personality.

Hinata has also changed, now able to keep up with Naruto. However, I suspect her feelings for her still exist because it occurs to me that she shows a certain jealousy when Naruto gets too close to me. The possibility of uniting these two souls in some way intrigues me, as if I were rehearsing for an intriguing performance where there may be room for a three-way ending, hahahaha.

Shikamaru has emerged as a valuable friend, a presence with whom I share games and conversations. His inherent laziness is just a superficial trait, as his mind is sharp and unique, bringing philosophical reflections and alternative perspectives to the world.

"Whew!" I let out a sigh as I mentally reviewed my journey in the ninja world. Perhaps my mind is sliding along the edges of reason.

In recent days, my focus has shifted to learning a new technique: the legendary Flying Thunder God Technique. This ability allows the user to mark a destination with a special seal and, upon activation, enter a dimensional void that instantly transports them to the indicated location.

However, creating this seal requires deep mastery of fuinjutsu, exceptional agility, and almost innate chakra control. Fortunately, my access to various works on fuinjutsu provided by Jiraiya is increasing my knowledge. Still, I must admit that my training is far from sufficient. I have intensified my training to improve my agility, a challenge I have set for myself to surpass Minato, without the advantage of being a Jinchuuriki like Naruto or possessing a Kekkei Genkai like Sasuke. The task requires me to push my effort to the maximum.

With mastery of this technique and the enhancement of my speed, I intend to achieve remarkable feats in combat and, if necessary, escape from adverse situations. All of this with the goal of becoming a fuinjutsu specialist, the shinobi who will attract all the attention and hearts of the ladies, hahahaha!

However, I wonder if Sage Mode will be enough to face a potential return of Madara. This hypothesis is highly unlikely, considering the exceptional genius that the Uchiha clan boasts. And if Kaguya, the very origin of all this conflict, returns to the scene? In that case, I am destined for a failed fate, without a doubt.

Because of this, my intention is to master a wide range of jutsus, creating a versatile arsenal capable of responding to any situation. Nevertheless, I must maintain a balance, as I learned the hard way. Not long ago, my body succumbed to excessive training, forcing me into a month of inactivity. I found myself unconscious on the ground, at the mercy of the concern of the blonde, who found me worried.

The doctor who attended to me warned me that persisting at this pace would lead to a sickly life. What he doesn't know is that my determination is far from satiated.

Amid these thoughts, I made the decision to take a walk around Konoha, heading to the training field. My approach, however, is stealthy and cautious. After all, you never know when the intrusion of an annoying person might interrupt my quest for moments of introspection and solitude.

Upon arriving at the location, I saw a familiar ninja training heavily, his ridiculous green attire revealing his identity: Rock Lee! He was striking the already battered wood with blows, but his hands were not spared either. With a keen eye, you could see that they were bleeding from the effort.

"I won't stop, another 1000 punches!" the boy shouted, seemingly trying to find motivation.

I'm used to training to increase my strength, but this kid has to do everything ten times more. His inability to use ninjutsu affects him deeply; in his situation, I would prefer to be a peasant. But his eyes of determination make me want to train until I can't anymore.

"Hey!" I called out to Guy's pupil.

In the middle of a movement near the wood, the boy stopped his punch and turned to see me. "Who are you?"

I gave him a wide smile. "How do you not know me? I'm the son and pupil of the most perverted of all, the legendary Kazuee!"

Lee's eyes sparkled. "Wow, that's cool! So you're the genius of the younger class? I heard you have the best grades and above-average taijutsu."

"It's no big deal; I'm the son of one of the Sannin! It's the least I could do to uphold my father's name."

Rock Lee looked at me with a confident face. "I'd like to challenge you to a fight to test my strength."

I simply nodded in agreement; a fight against Rock Lee would be very interesting. This kid is one of the sources of inspiration in this world, never giving up even when things are tough.

Just as Lee and I were about to prepare our fighting stances, Guy and the rest of the team arrived, seemingly starting their training.

"Hey, Lee, what's going on?" Guy asked with an excited voice.

Lee turned to Guy, also excited about his sensei's arrival. "Guy Sensei! I was challenging Kazue to a fight to see his strength."

Guy grinned widely and looked at me with a happy expression. "So you're Jiraiya's son, haha, I heard you're quite strong."

"I just work hard every day to surpass myself," I said with a confident expression.

While talking to Guy, I noticed Tenten and Neji seeming interested in the conversation.

"Hey, Guy Sensei, who is this lovely girl by your side?" I said, wanting to get to know Tenten.

Neji's eyes seemed to narrow slightly, not sure if it was because of my audacity or because he felt something for her.

Tenten blushed slightly at my boldness. "Hahaha," Guy laughed. "This girl here is Tenten, but I think to win her over, you'll need to be very strong."

Lee looked at Guy Sensei. "Our spar will determine if he's worthy of Tenten or not."

"That's the power of youth!" Guy's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm.

Tenten stepped forward, blushing furiously. "What are you guys talking about? I never said I would agree to be with this guy!"

"Don't worry, Tenten! A ninja always seeks a way to achieve their goals," I said provocatively, enjoying the conversation.

Guy walked between me and Lee. "Let's get started and not waste any more time."

"Yes, Guy Sensei," Guy's cosplay shouted with excitement and took a taijutsu stance.

I assumed my posture, my pulse racing with the excitement of a battle I hadn't experienced in a long time. With eleven years marking my life's calendar, I foresaw a future that would bring me to the rank of genin, a passage that would undoubtedly come with a gallery of challenges and opponents worthy of my desire for improvement. "Begin!" Guy shouted, signaling the start of our fight.

Lee and I exchanged glances, meticulously analyzing each movement, each stance adopted for the imminent confrontation. In truth, the soul of a fighter relies on understanding the opponent's style to gain the advantage in the first strike.

For a minute that unfolded like a silent eternity, we remained in a state of contemplation, waiting to see who would break the chain of anticipation first. With keen attention, I examined the subtleties and hints that would pave the way for the initial attack. And so, under the silent stars, I took the initiative.

Propelling myself toward Lee, I crafted a controlled punch aimed at his face, which became the prelude to the initial movement. With cunning, Guy's devoted disciple erected a defense that skillfully deflected the blow, allowing my attack to graze the empty space behind his right arm.

At that moment, Lee painted a challenging smile, like a warrior aware of his potential. From that smile emerged a kick that flew in my direction, a move so swift that my proximity compelled me to mitigate the impact. My body moved in a choreographed dance of agility, seeking to cushion the energy contained in that blow as much as possible. However, a thread of pain still coursed through me. Nevertheless, I was not oblivious to the window of opportunity that had opened up.

I raised my fist toward Lee's leg in an effort to break through his defenses, but the shinobi's reaction unfolded in a fluid gesture, like a shadow vanishing in the twilight, escaping the assault I had aimed at him.

"Surprising, I must admit," I declared, my smile reflecting admiration for his progress. "In just a few months since becoming a genin, you have already achieved remarkable levels in your taijutsu."

Lee responded to my praise with a radiant smile, launching himself in my direction with the fury of a hurricane. "Today, I bring you the fruits of my hard training with Guy-sensei!"

And so, like a raging lightning bolt, the young man advanced, his kicks coming in a cacophony of speed and intensity. But my dedication to agility proved to be an effective shield against his onslaught. I contorted my body in movements that echoed the brilliance of a dance, avoiding each blow with almost supernatural grace. Our punches intertwined in a choreographed ballet, each gesture crystalline like a diamond sculpted by the synchronicity of our minds.

Guy, a keen observer, interlocked his hands behind his back, his incisive eyes missing not a single detail. "This young man, although not yet a genin, already matches up to Lee remarkably. An astounding feat."

Neji, always bearing a hint of haughtiness, didn't hesitate to express his opinion. "He seems to have some talent."

"Leaf Whirlwind!" Lee shouted, launching himself at me like a whirlwind, and I, like a fleeting spark, vanished in a flash of light.

"What? Such speed?" Lee exclaimed, astonishment in his voice.

In response, Guy-sensei's words cut through the air. "Lee, remove your weights! Our opponent's superior speed demands it."

"Understood, Guy-sensei!" the pupil replied, getting rid of the weights and revealing his strategy.

"Witness now Lee's swiftness. Let's see if he can surpass months of dedication," Guy said.

Lee darted toward me with an almost supernatural speed. His kicks echoed like thunder, but my meticulous training in the art of agility proved fruitful. The blows, aimed at me with undeniable intent, were easily dodged, yet he persisted tirelessly.

Comparing Lee's attacks with Sasuke's finesse, I noticed that his strikes had a unique smoothness, and his scars attested to the rigor of his training. A genius of perseverance, something that in my previous existence, I might have envied. Who could guess how far I would have gone with such determination to guide me?

"How does he keep up with Lee so calmly? That speed is truly disconcerting," Tenten asked Guy, her astonishment barely contained.

"His father is a legendary Sannin, a heritage that could rightfully have prepared his descendant well," Guy pointed out, his eyes aflame with interest.

Exhausted from the defensive posture, I prepared a punch worthy of Tsunade's Strength of a Hundred Seal, aiming for multiplied power.

"Chakra Punch," I murmured as my fist sought Lee's abdominal region, sending him flying a considerable distance.

Lee's body spun on the ground, a timid trickle of blood on his lips. He staggered to his feet, a look of tenacity painting his face.

"Enough, Lee. I declare Kazue the winner," Guy announced, concern lacing his words.

I approached Rock Lee, extending my hand in a gesture of camaraderie. "You are undeniably formidable. It would be an honor to have you as a partner," I said, a genuine smile shining on my face. In those words, I saw a potential ally who would share the challenges to come.

Lee took my hand, struggling to rise. "I will train diligently. Next time, I won't be defeated," his words echoed with determination.

-------------------------------------

After the bout, a camaraderie blossomed between me and Lee, a bond forged in the arena of mutual improvement. Not content with that, I decided to extend my invitation to a possible meeting with Tenten, although I encountered reluctance in the folds of her hesitation, she eventually accepted my proposal. Ah, the prospect of making Jiraiya feel proud, a goal that shone in my mind like a guiding star.

Speaking of the venerable Jiraiya, the veteran seemed to have returned from his missions, seeking temporary refuge to align his words on pages that would shape a book. He mentioned, with an air of carrying secrets, that he planned to extend his stay in Konoha. I guessed with reasonable certainty that his actions were intertwined with the mysteries that the Akatsuki inscribed on the fabric of the ninja world.

"Hey, Kazue! Quit daydreaming and let's do something," Kiba interrupted with some irritation, impatient with my inclination for contemplation.

"Let's just lie down and watch the clouds," Shikamaru muttered in a bored tone, his voice a personification of yawns.

However, our train of thought was soon disrupted by the passing of girls on the street, their eyes immediately fixating on our group.

"Eyy, Kazue-kun!" Naruto's shout echoed, and she, along with Hinata, rushed over to me like a hurricane of affection.

Our relationship had deepened considerably, and Hinata, who had once been shy in my presence, now displayed an intimacy that defied barriers.

"If it isn't the chatty little girl," I commented, raising an eyebrow provocatively to Naruto before greeting Hinata with a nod.

Hinata's jealous gaze responded to my provocation, and she greeted me amidst an atmosphere of jealousy when Naruto tried to get closer to me. "Hello, Kazue-kun."

Kiba, with an enraged expression, prodded my competitive side. "Enough of this clinginess, let's do something," he grumbled, a touch of envy leaking into his words.

As our minds sought an activity to alleviate the boredom, Jiraiya himself appeared, a casual whistle in the air. I wouldn't be surprised if he had orchestrated something obscene in his recent escapades.

Seeing us immersed in a dilemma of tedious inactivity, he posed the inevitable question. "What's up, kids?"

"We have nothing to do, and we're bored," Chouji explained simply.

The impure mind of the pervert was already spinning its internal wheels, lining up suggestive words. "The solution to boredom? Find girlfriends! The village is full of them. Female companionship keeps anyone busy, hahaha."

"Women are complicated and talkative," Shikamaru retorted, making his skepticism about the suggestion clear.

Jiraiya's eyes fell on me as if he saw an opportunity between the lines of the situation. "And this one by your side? Don't tell me..."

"She's Naruto, but don't jump to conclusions," I preempted any idea he might be concocting.

"Who's this Kazu-kun?" the fox questioned me with curiosity.

"He's my old dad, but you'll get used to him," I replied with resigned calm.

Naruto's eyes sparkled with interest, and she approached Jiraiya with enthusiasm. "Are you the legendary Sannin? I've always wanted to meet Kazue's dad."

"Ah, I see such a kind young lady here," Jiraiya replied, his gaze filled with mischief. "You would make a beautiful wife for Kazue, hahaha!"

Redness took over Naruto's cheeks, and she quickly backed away, unable to continue the sentence. Her expression denoted embarrassment and surprise.

Chouji, focused on his snacks, interjected with his characteristic tranquility. "But, Kazue, didn't you have a date with that Tenten girl?"

Shikamaru's look signaled a glaring mistake to Chouji. "You're a real idiot, Chouji."

Jiraiya's words were an exclamation mark in the silence. "Ah, is that true, my young man?"

The blonde fixed me with a gaze full of emotion, almost on the verge of tears, before retreating quickly. "Come on, Hinata!" her words sounded like an urgent call, summoning her friend.

A laugh escaped from Shikamaru, who didn't hide his desire to return to his serenity. "And it's for these reasons that women annoy me," he said, clearly wishing to return to the quiet he valued so much.

-------------------------------------

"So you really want to master Minato's jutsu?" Jiraiya expressed surprise in his voice as he assessed my motivation.

"Yes, it's crucial for me in this world. I'll need your knowledge of fuinjutsu and enhance my chakra control to achieve it," I responded seriously, aware that this technique was essential for my success in this new environment.

Jiraiya kept his gaze fixed on me, showing hesitation in accepting my request. "The jutsu you want to learn is an S-rank technique. While I don't know it the same way Minato did, I can try to teach you to master it. But, know that it won't be an easy task, kid. I'll have to confirm it with the Hokage."

I was aware that this technique held immense power. Understanding how the Fourth Hokage or the Second Hokage had created a dimensional space allowing the passage of a physical body was no small feat. Even knowledge of physics seemed insufficient, as this world followed its own laws far beyond my previous reality. Mastering a technique of this level would allow me to connect with various people, offering help or escape when needed.

The books my father had left me were becoming increasingly complex. Dealing with seals was not a simple task; their complexity increased as I progressed. The teleportation jutsu was a technique that clearly required knowledge far beyond what I currently possessed. When I attempted to link my chakra to a seal, it consumed energy unnecessarily, and kunai would teleport randomly, not following my will.

-------------------------------------

My training with the little fox was progressing, and she continued to use shadow clone jutsu constantly. Given her chakra reserves, it was expected that she could use them with ease.

Also, she was becoming increasingly clingy, staying close to me most of the time. Now, I had less free time than before, and rumors were already circulating.

"What are you thinking, Kazue-kun?" She asked, hugging me from behind.

"Of course, I was thinking about my favorite brat," I said provocatively.

People around us were already speculating that we were a couple due to the time we spent together. She even started calling Jiraiya 'dad,' which was a concerning sign to my ears as it implied a commitment I wasn't willing to make at such a young age. How many other opportunities would I miss?

"When I become Hokage, I'll make you stay in the village by my side. And I'll forbid you from talking to other girls," the little fox declared, seeking a reaction from me.

"Then, I'll leave the village before that," I laughed playfully.

She tightened her embrace around me, as if trying to prevent me from escaping. "Then, I'll chase you to the ends of the earth."
