Joseph Thompson nodded, but he didn't do it himself and just lifted his hand, obviously wanting her to help him put it on.

Jaylene gave him a look: "You're getting more and more arrogant, be careful I won't wait on you anymore."

Joseph Thompson smiled, but he willingly raised his arm when she draped the shirt over his shoulders, like a well-behaved baby cooperating with mommy to get dressed.

"When I was little, my mom would help me get dressed like this," he looked down at the woman buttoning up his shirt, with a smile at the corner of his lips.

"But I'm not your mom," Jaylene hurried to clarify.

Joseph Thompson chuckled, his eyes lowered, watching her curled eyelashes gently fluttering. Her slightly cold fingertips unintentionally touched his chest, creating a tingling sensation that traveled from the skin to his heart.
