In the chapter's opening scene, Caligara, the formidable VoidWalker, makes a sudden and ominous appearance on Planet Earth. With a sinister air surrounding him, he towers over Seraphine, observing her with an unnerving fascination. He's drawn to her energy, something that piques his interest.
Caligara: "Your energy... I find it quite intriguing."
In a startling moment, Caligara forcefully slams Seraphine to the ground before her. His intentions become chillingly apparent as he begins extracting her energy, savoring the taste.
Caligara: "Yummy energy, not bad for a backwater planet filled with primitive monkeys."
As the VoidWalker appears, Malgarius, previously subdued, kneels before his lord, expressing his loyalty. The entire Shadow Cult present on Earth follows suit, kneeling in reverence.
Caligara, eyeing Seraphine with interest, acknowledges her potential.
Caligara: "It would be a waste to kill you now. You have the potential to grow stronger and become even more delicious."
Amidst the dire situation, Selena is struck by fear, Kai is severely injured, and humans bear the brunt of the attack. Seraphine lies unconscious, seemingly powerless.
Unexpectedly, beneath Caligara's feet, Seraphine begins to emit a radiant glow. The VoidWalker takes note of this surge in power.
Caligara: "More power, huh?"
With newfound vigor, Seraphine transforms back into a Super Saiyan and delivers a powerful punch to Caligara's jaw, sending him flying. She then seizes her sword, Taichi, and expresses her unyielding determination to end Malgarius.
Seraphine: "I told you, I won't let you live, Malgarius. I don't care what happens to me."
In an instant, she ruthlessly dismembers Malgarius, severing both his arms and then decapitating him. It's a brutal end to her long-standing adversary.
With her vengeance fulfilled, Seraphine utters a heartfelt tribute to her late parents.
Seraphine: "I did it, Mother, Father."
Selena, still recovering from her shock, attempts to stop Kai's bleeding, while the humans struggle with their injuries.
However, the relief is short-lived. Caligara, the VoidWalker, takes Seraphine's violent response as an opportunity to test her potential further. He creates a spear of ki, which he impales Selena with, ending her life.
Selena's last words are filled with wisdom and encouragement.
Selena: "Seraphine, believe in yourself. Never back down from anything. This is my final lesson."
Fueled by a profound rage and loss, Seraphine unleashes her aura even further, her determination burning brighter than ever. Yet, Caligara is unfazed and overpowers her, slamming her to the ground, causing her to revert to her normal state.
Caligara: "That's more like it."
He announces his departure, granting mortals across the universe a 10-year reprieve before his return. The devastating destruction of homes and families is intended to be the catalyst for their growth.
Caligara: "I give you 10 years to develop your strength. After that, I will return, extract your energy, and end your lives."
He teleports away, taking the Shadow Cult with him, leaving Seraphine alone, bereft of her parents and her mentor, Kai. The Earth's residents are left to ponder their future and what they can achieve in the ten years they have ahead.
