As the chapter unfolds, the gravity generator is set to an even more punishing level of 15x Earth's gravity. Seraphine, now accustomed to the increased weight, moves with ease and grace, demonstrating her newfound agility and strength. She delivers a series of powerful blows to a training dummy, shattering it to pieces in a display of her growing mastery over the intense gravity.
However, Seraphine's mother, Lyra, soon appears before her, a hint of pride in her eyes. She deactivates the gravity generator and pulls out a scouter, which she uses to scan her daughter's power level. "Impressive," she remarks, "your power level has grown significantly. It was only 2000 a week ago, and now it's at 8200."
Placing the scouter aside, Lyra shifts her attention to the gym's safety. With a swift command, she activates a strange, protective barrier that envelops the gym, safeguarding it from any damage during their training.
Seraphine, still catching her breath, looks at her mother in confusion. "Why the barrier?" she asks.
Lyra, now dressed in her own martial arts gi, adopts a stance and grins mischievously. "That's for gym protection," she explains, "so we don't accidentally break anything during our training."
Intrigued and a bit anxious, Seraphine hesitantly inquires, "What's next?"
Her mother's expression turns serious as she challenges her daughter, "Let's test that new power of yours. If you can land one punch on me, I'll start teaching you the secrets of Kaioken."
Seraphine eagerly accepts the challenge, launching into a flurry of strikes and attacks. Her movements are fast and precise, but Lyra dodges every blow with ease. As the training intensifies, Seraphine's desperation causes her to lose her footing, and she crashes to the ground.
Lyra, with a playful smirk, teases her fallen daughter, "Beated yourself, huh?"
The chapter comes to a close with Seraphine, undeterred and determined, looking up at her mother and saying with unwavering resolve, "One more chance. Please, give me one more chance."
The stakes are high, and Seraphine's journey toward mastering the Kaioken technique is filled with challenges, but her determination burns brighter than ever as she faces this crucial test.
