Chương 15: 15. Cultivation Technique Created Out of Great Suffering
For the remainder of the day, Huang Biren was with the white wolf playing the guqin in silence. They both knew that this was the first of many nights they would be apart and this was because Huang Biren could not take a demonic beast to a royal birthday celebration and the celebration was to take a whole two days.
When evening came, Huang Biren prepared herself by putting on a stunning blue dress and almost no makeup, not that she even needed it in the first place. This time when the wolf saw her, its heart pumped abnormally making it almost faint. Huang Biren kissed the wolf on its head before entering a golden carriage that swiftly departed the Huang mansion.
The wolf dismissed the abnormal heart rate as a side effect of getting old and went into Huang Biren's room where it began cultivating. Although its cultivation was almost useless as it was very slow, the wolf still cultivated each night as it tried to form its technique.
The wolf fell asleep after a few hours of cultivation and its snoring resounded in the room.
The peaceful sleep did not last long as the wolf soon started having night terrors.
Usually, this would have been the moment that Huang Biren would have woken up and played her guqin while singing for the wolf in order to soothe its fractured psyche, but this night, the wolf was on its own.
In its dream, the wolf watched the death of its pack repeatedly and each time it saw the gruesome memories, they became clearer making the wolf shake with terror. Tears rolled down its white hairy face and anyone seeing it at this moment would feel great sadness and suffering coming off the wolf's body in waves. This sadness would drown any normal man. Some may even wonder how the wolf had survived this long with all that sadness and loss. The answer would be simple, Huang Biren. She was the only one who knew how much the wolf suffered and endured. She did not know for what reason the wolf had chosen to live life happily, at least on the surface. To anyone who saw the wolf during the day, all they would see was a cute happy pet, but Huang Biren knew better.
By the time morning came around, the white wolf was at its limits. The dream had renewed its hatred and reaffirmed its resolve for vengeance.
Throughout the day, the wolf stayed in the room meditating on its cultivation technique . When night came around once again, the wolf was prepared to meet its terrors in the name of vengeance.
It fell asleep as usual after cultivation and when the night terrors began, the wolf tried to remain calm as much as possible and view the deaths from an outsider's perspective.
As time went by, the wolf became calmer and analyzed the memories so that it could eliminate this weakness . In its mind, being unable to sleep due to trauma was something that any being aiming for success should work on with all their might to stop the trauma from becoming a roadblock on their path to success, instead, trauma should be a driving force on this road.
As the wolf watched the memories and analyzed them, it fell into a trance where it did not know who or what it was, all it knew was that it was.
When morning came, the wolf did not wake up and instead continued to sleep .
In its mind, the wolf had become obsessed with the technique used by Elder Huo Yuanjia to kill its mother in such a bizarre manner.
When the wolf finally woke up in the evening, it had a single thought, "I have finally completed my cultivation technique and this time, it is perfect."
