Anna Jadwin lowered her face, tears of regret dripping down: "With grandpa's illness getting worse and the pressure you've been under recently, telling you all this would only add to your stress. I never thought you'd forgive me, nor did I think I could escape punishment. I just wanted to wait for grandpa's health to improve, and then I would come clean about everything I've done."
Her tears fell on the photograph.
