At the blacksmith's cabin a short while later, Feng helped his mother settle into bed, pulling a blanket over her. The village doctor was brought over and immediately began to assess Yin's physical health. She tried to convince her son not to make a huge fuss, without much success.
The physician, who was analyzing her pulse, began asking her simple questions. Yin responded to him with short humbled answers, but Feng caught on that she wasn't being entirely truthful about her illness.
"Mom, do not downplay your condition," he said to her, his tone taking on a stern edge.
Yin gave him an exasperated sigh, shaking her head at the situation. She didn't like being the center of attention and didn't understand why everyone was making such a big deal out of it.
"I am fine, really. I think you are overreacting," she said to him.
That was such a close call for Yin! Glad both "Zhuyi" and Yin are now reunited with Feng in the village. Hopefully, its smoother sailing from here.
