She may have a sharp tongue, but she is not a bad person.
Amelia's gaze leaves the words 'City West District County Clerk's Office.'
She takes out her phone and calls Christopher Robinson.
On the other side, Amelia doesn't hear any noise, so he must have found a quiet place specifically to answer the call.
The man gently calls her Amelia on the other side.
Amelia doesn't want to chat with him.
"I'm at No. 27 Southwest Road, come pick me up."
"Where's Ben Clinton?" Christopher asks.
"He's running an errand," Amelia replies.
"I'll send Isaac Fenton to pick you up," Christopher responds.
Amelia thinks to herself, I knew it.
But in the end, she held back her anger, "Am I Isaac's wife?"
"I'm busy."
"Oh, should I just find a hotel and wait for you?"
Christopher notices the strangeness in Amelia's tone and asks softly, "Baby, what's wrong?"
Amelia pretends to be fine and replies, "I miss you."
"Now?" Christopher is surprised.
