The driver shuddered, his hands trembled on the steering wheel.
"To the Cobb-Robinson."
It was noon, close to lunchtime.
Yvonne Jones stormed in, and as soon as she stepped into the company, she saw Lucas Atkins, who had recently resigned.
"What are you doing here?"
Lucas Atkins was not a native of the capital, but his family was one of the leading figures in the capital city of another province. His family was wealthy, and he worked purely for the experience of life. He had wanted to resign and inherit his family's fortune when he was under Amelia Cobb's management some years ago, but later decided to stay because of the pleasant working atmosphere.
Yvonne Jones could trample on others, but not necessarily on him, after all, he was not short on money.
"I'm here for a meal, miss."
"I can't even pay my rent now that I'm not making money with you, and you won't let me jump ship?"
Lucas Atkins leaned against the door, looking at Yvonne Jones and retorted directly.
