When Amelia Cobb returned to Holy Garden, it was already afternoon.
As soon as she entered, she saw Kallie Rayno anxiously pacing around the room. Kallie immediately gripped her wrist, "Mr. Robinson said he sent you back in the morning, I've been calling you but you did not answer."
Amelia gently patted Kallie's hand, reassured her, "I'm fine, don't worry."
"Why did you not answer the phone?" Kallie asked, "Is it broken?"
Only then did Amelia take out her phone to check it, she nodded, "It's out of battery."
"As long as you're okay, I am relieved," Kallie sighed and then started checking her wounds.
Amelia was already exhausted, yet she had to put up with Kallie's detailed care.
Perhaps because today she saw her own funeral and was abruptly reminded of her own death, the heartbreak of her graying parents having to bury her, might have made her more tolerant towards Kallie.
