"Sister, you've left Xuan'er alone again to collect river clams at the river bottom."
The Little Prince was not interested in the large river clam, all he cared for was his sister. He tightly grasped her hand, the familiar warmth calming his frightened heart.
"The large river clam was trying to escape at the bottom of the river. I was in a hurry to grab it and didn't have time to tell you."
Su Qingluo listened to his sweet, childlike voice, feeling a soft warmth in her heart. She squatted down and affectionately pinch his chubby cheeks.
"Without Sister, Xuan'er was scared."
The Little Prince plaintively complained.
"Now that Sister's back, Xuan'er doesn't have to be afraid."
Su Qingluo laughed sheepishly, unconsciously avoiding the Little Prince's blaming eyes.
The Weishui River was deep and unfathomable, filled with toss and turns everywhere, hiding ferocious whirlpools.
