Chương 10: Cloak of the Inevitable

I jolted awake, and sat upright on my bed with my revolver pointed at a boy who was sitted on the table in my room. He calmly waved his hands and my revolver turned to dust.

Seriously!!?... Why am I the only player with no cool ability.

"I'm not here to fight you... I've contacted the rest of us in town because there's something important we need to discuss, and a share of experience would help to better understand what we've just walked into... This isn't a simple game. Meet us outside the city and... Don't be late" without sparing me a chance to voice out my opinion, he flicked his finger... and I woke up.

"Damn... I hate my class" I complained. Someone who could intrude my dreams and manipulate it... was just too OP, and what did he mean by 'this isn't a simple game'.

Well... if I want to find out, then I shouldn't be late. I quickly washed up and put on my dirty clothes... I didn't have a spare.

'summon the 'Truth pendant'' I muttered.

The pendant was an eye symbol with a pitch black diamond for a pupil, it was hanging down from an old looking black lace. On tying the black lace round my neck, the feeling of calmness washed over me.

Just what I needed to cover up my dirty clothes.

'summon the 'cloak of Inevitable'' I muttered.

The cloak was made of darkness itself and was exuding a black aura visible to the eye.

I was already tearing up after reading it's ability. 'Finally!!...I have a cool ability', I quickly put it on and wore the Truth pendant over it. And standing before the mirror in the room... I was looking like an evil 'Dr Strange' with the pendant touching my chest.

The cloak covered every bit of my skin and on pulling the hood over my head, it covered the top half of my face revealing only my lips. And the symbol of an eye was embroidered in red, in the part of the hood covering the half top of my face, just in line with my sight. And even with my eyes covered by the hood, I could see through it crystal clear.

I began laughing maniacally in front of the mirror, just like bad guys normally do in movies.

*Knock*

I heard a knock on the door, which was followed by a familiar voice.

"Sir... Are you okay?" I heard a worried tone seep in.

I instantly stopped my insane laughter and replied with an awkward tone "Uhh... Yeah... I think so".

"Sir, your payment for the room have expired, if you wish to stay longer, I think you know what to do" she recited.

"Okay...?" I replied, and heard her receding footsteps.

I pulled the pendant from my neck and bound the lace round my palm to let the eye dangle below.

"Should I go for the meeting?" I asked, and saw the eye rotate clockwise which meant 'Yes'.

"Will there be any danger in going to the meeting?" I asked again, and saw the eye rotate clockwise again.

"What!?... What kind of danger" I asked, but the pendant couldn't answer such questions.

I unsummoned both the eye and the cloak. If there were going to be any danger, then it'll be better to catch the bastard off guard.

But before I go, I'll like to assign my free stat points first. It's better to go prepared and ready.
