"W-what does it mean when you see a person with black tattoos in your dream."
As she struggled to get the words out, I looked at sensei noticing his face darkened.
"Oe, what?"
Oe continued looking down as her shaking became more prominent. Getting up I grabbed her shoulder trying to calm her down. Nishimoto stopped doing his pushups before getting up and approaching her too.
"Oe are you okay."
I said while trying to calm her down. I stood in front of her seeing her eyes showing an intense emotion of dread in her eyes.
"H-he had black tattoos with black hair. He had this energy around him, a feeling of dread. W-when I came back home, I went to sleep, I saw him in my dreams. H-he was fighting some guy with white hair. T-the guy was winning until out of nowhere he was laying on the ground split in half."
Lifting her hands up she looked down at them seeing them shake profusely.
"Oe are you okay."
Trying to stop her shaking Nishimoto tried grabbing her hands but even under his strong grip they didn't stop.
"Sensei, what is she talking about."
Looking back at Sensei, I meet his eyes seeing a truly frightening sight.
[Kota ever since starting his journey of training had known he had a knack for cursed energy manipulation. With numerous years of training and his assassination work he had long learned how to control the tremendous amount of sinister pressure gained with his numerious killings. Which had longed dyed his cursed energy. But in a second this control had vanished allowing his cursed energy to follow freely like a waterfall. With his control gone the energy he had constantly controlled had been released. The energy had quickly consumed the room causing the whole school to feel their knees weaken.]
"You said what?"
Oe choked on her words while the golden irises of Sensei locked in on Oe.
"Sensei calm down."
"Nishimoto, be quiet."
Without a second Sensei dismissed Nishimoto.
"T-the man, H-he had marks on his body."
Stuttering profusely Oe looked up to meet Sensei's eyes, sweat quickly appeared on her face. Sensei rose up from his seat slowly walking over.
"Did you see anymore."
"I-i saw a something I think was a person made of energy, fighting a similar man who had the same tattoos with four arms. S-sensei do you know who that is?"
I could tell from Oe's tone she was trying her hardest to answer. Stopping in front of all three of use Sensei looked down at us. Before reaching into his pocket.
"Sign this."
The mystery pressure had vanished as fast as it came, feeling my legs about to give out I looked at the paper.
"Occult club."
I said slowly reading the paper.
"Oe what you saw was a natural disaster. Something a kid like you should've probably never seen. It probably has something to do with your cursed technique. Nishimoto use your technique."
Nishimoto who still had a look of fear in his eyes quickly tried to shake the feeling off before closing his eyes concentrating. Out of nowhere another him appeared, opening his eyes the clone and him looked at each other before high fiving. The clone disappeared after the high five while Nishimoto had long regained his idiotic demeanor looking content.
"In sorcery there are things called Cursed techniques, I'll explain more of that later. My guess is you activated your technique in your sleep allowing you to see that monster."
Laying down the paper, he walked back to his desk before sitting down while all three of us looked at him.
"We'll start training tomorrow. I'm telling you right now it won't be easy. I'll train you three to be special grade sorcerers."
"SPECIAL GRADE."
An excited Nishimoto looked forward, looking like a kid. Sensei's expression grew noticeably annoyed.
"Please don't yell Nishimoto, my nerves are running dry right now."
"Sorry Sensei."
"After signing that paper go home early, you too Nishimoto. I'll train all three of you into monsters, so get ready. Because once we start there will be no stopping."
Sensei looked at all three of us. Nishimoto, Oe and I all stared back astonished before nodding our heads. We all left his room, all of us making our way home.
Unlocking the door to Sensei house I stepped inside walking towards the microwave seeing a plat in it. After eating I head to the bath, washing my body for bed. Laying down and looking up at the ceiling a strange feeling washed over me.
I couldn't explain it, but with this feeling surrounding me. I felt my consciousness fade until it was no longer in the awake world.
- A week later -
"56, 57, 58..."
I swung the sword in my hand frustrated, Sensei sat on a rock looking deeply at me.
"You're not circling your cursed energy properly."
Letting out a frustrated breath, I began concentrating and moving the cursed energy around my body.
Everday since last week I would come to Sensei house, he would take me to a nearby forest before doing a hand motion and saying the words "Domain". He often trained me sperate from the Oe and Nishimoto.
After asking him about what "Domain" was he just said it was a technique he was working on, and he would explain it when I got stronger.
"Did I say you could stop swinging your sword."
Sensei yelled out annoyed.
"No, Sensei. 60, 61, 62..."
"How many times did I tell you. Control your cursed energy like I told you."
Stopping the swings of my sword I dropped it. Looking at Sensei annoyed.
"This is stupid."
Letting out deep breaths. My eyes narrowed in annoyance while looking at him.
"You have Nishimoto training with his clones, and Oe is practicing with her technique as well while fighting two of his clones on top of that. But you have me just swinging this stupid sword around."
I kicked the sword out of anger before looking at Sensei as he got up and walked over lifting the sword up.
"Nishimoto technique allows him to make copies of himself, when those copies disappear their knowledge is gained by him. Having him train with them is beneficial to learning hand to hand combat and evolving as a fighter. I also have him fighting them to learn how to adapt to an opponent that knows all your moves and evolving from that. Making him the perfect upfront attacker put he can also play the role of a berserk. With his clone and willpower, he could make a perfect shield. "
Sensei looked at me before cleaning the dirt of the sword as he talked.
"Oe is training her control of her technique, her technique requires her to become absolutely concentrated and in a constant state of flow. She's yet to reach that point but with practice she'll be able to support you guys in any situation."
Finishing cleaning off the sword, a slash sounded in the air before the sword was near my throat.
"That only leaves you. Your technique allows you to create vibration, when it comes to supporting, you're the weakest, when it comes to defending you lose to Nishimoto, and when it comes to techniques you effectively have the worst."
I looked at him clenching my fist while holding my head down.
"In the jujutsu world it's know that 95% of strength is technique related. Meaning that you'll never surpass either Oe or Nishimoto. You're the weak link."
Feeling his words hit like stones. I could only imagine Oe and Nishimoto as mountains that I'll never be able to reach.
"But this isn't exactly 100% accurate. When you train Masaki, I can tell that strength to you is born out of a simple necessity. To survive because that's all you have, your pride and your anger are only biproducts of this necessity. Once you gained your strength you stopped trying to grow. Contempt with being a big fish in a small pond and once that pond was expanded you simply trashed around in anger. Not accepting you were only a small fish in the larger pond. Masaki do you want to know what makes a person truly strong?"
My mouth laid open as I looked at him nodding my head yes.
"Both Oe and Nishimoto have talent. Oe has one of the best techniques I've ever seen, being worse than only a hand full. While Nishimoto is a case of his own, I can tell from how he fights and acts. He fights for strength, paired with his already tremendous talent he is a monster. He can grasp things that would take others months. But you know what beats talent, your mentality. To be stronger than them you have to completely forget about such things as titles and position and only focus on gaining one thing. No matter if you're the biggest fish in the biggest pond or you're the smallest fish in a small pond. Focus solely on gaining strength."
Sensei pulled the sword away from my neck before handing it to me.
"Now, with all your might gain this strength. Now focus your energy and swing your sword with this might. You can do it I know you can."
Sensei face gained a smile before I took a calm breath. Swinging my sword, I once again failed to use my cursed energy properly.
"Don't stop keep going."
Hearing Sensei words the frustration in my body felt strange. Swinging my sword, a new sharpness followed the slash.
'Did my frustration just disappear? What is this feeling, I feel light.'
"Feels good doesn't it. When you used to use your cursed energy, you used to be a servant to it. Letting it eat at you like a parasite. But now your different."
I swung again, feeling the sharpness still there.
"You feel it don't you. This is the new you Masaki."
Getting up, he walked over to me again this time rubbing my head. I looked up at him seeing a smile paint his face.
"We'll start the next step of your training. I'll make you the strongest."
For some reason his smile made me smile back.
"Thank you, Sensei."
Hope you enjoyed
