Holy shit, one attribute and skill point
How do I get more soul fragments?
[Kill living beings]
That makes sense. I get soul of night from zombies because they have miasma reanimating their bodies, they don't have the standard soul. But if I kill something that does have a soul then I get a fragment of it.
I quickly scour the surroundings for more things I could kill and I find none.
Where are all the zombies?
Where can I find more soul fragments?
Wait a sec, the corpse eater worms! I saw shit ton of them around here.
With greed moving my body, I gather my things but then remember something.
I hold my metal bat and then proceed to turn the corpse of the grave digger ghoul into meat paste. This is a beginner dungeon, there won't be anyone to take care of it if it reanimates into something horrific but now, even if it reanimates it won't be a problem.
Then I depart to search for some juicy worms.
***
I found them
They look as repulsive as before.
On the bright side, there are about 30 of them. Lucky for me, it seems other people also avoid them so there are a lot.
I steel my heart and throw my spear into one of them. I ain't getting close to that.

Add 2 points to comprehension
[Comprehension: 0.36 >>> 0.42]
It's finally reaching decent level.
But eww, I don't think I want to retrieve my spear, it's covered in slimy substance.
I don't want to dirty my other weapons like that.
How do I kill them then?
...
Now that my comprehension has increased considerably, I think it's time I learn magic.
Magic
Fricking magic!!!
I get my book out and read it. Although it is hard, I somewhat get it.
The worms are slow, they are not going anywhere anytime soon.
***
Alright, I think I understand it.
I close my eyes and let [Mana sense] do it's thing.
Millions of blue particles becomes visible to me.
I focus more, trying to sense something that I currently can't
Some time passes

[The skill [Focus] has leveled up]
[The skill [Elemental sense] has been acquired]
That was... faster than I expected.
I'm really talented at magic stuff huh
That only makes me more excited.
My newly acquired [Elemental sense] allows me to sense the particles in elements.
Green particles in the air, golden brown in the ground with some greenish blue particles mixed in between.
That's the elements: wind, earth and water.
Following the manual, I control the mana in the air and infuse them with the green particles in the air.
[Combination of [Mana control], [Mana sense] and [Elemental sense] is possible]
[5 skill points required]
Do it!
[Remaining skill points: 3]
[The skill [Magic sense [EX]] acquired]
[The skill [Magic manipulation [EX]] acquired]
Magic sense allows me to sense mana and elemental particles while magic manipulation allows me to fuse mana and elemental particles to cast elemental magic.
If I had a high affinity for an element then I wouldn't need to infuse mana with it to control it but I don't so I need this skill.
I imagine the mana infused green particles taking the shape of a sword.
The air inside the cavern shifts
I imagine the blade slashing a worm in front of me
Suddenly, a worm splits open, spewing slime and it's guts everywhere.
[The skill [Gale cutter] has been acquired]
"Hahaha, finally some magic."

Wew, that was tiring.
I killed all of the worms, took their cores and mana crystals.

Hell, yeah!

Look at these numbers go.
An average person has 5 points in everything except mana and intelligence but I'm already triple, some attributes even quadruple that and I'm only at level 6!
A person gets about 3 points every level up so they have to pick a class to specialize in and allocate their attribute points into it but all of my stats increase with every level up.
I can literally get any class I want.
I can be omnipotent.
But that's far off in the future but possible.
Till then, I want to complete my quest.
***
I can't find any zombies.
What the hell?
There is literally nothing in this cavern now.
No zombies, no skeletons, no worms and no ghouls. No nothing.
It's like this dungeon became a normal cavern but how can that be? This is an irregular dungeon, it has no boss and it's supposed to keep spawning zombies till end of time.
But why is it not working?
Actually, I think I have an idea, 2 actually. First, the grave digger ghoul was the boss but I think it's not. I thought of this because I seriously don't want the other idea to be true.
The second idea is connected to the drops I get by killing monsters. When a monster or an intruder dies in the dungeon, it's energy is absorbed by the boss. and a part of it is used to spawn more monsters. But this dungeon doesn't have one meaning the energy it gains from it's inhabitants dying is used to create more monsters. It's a virtuous cycle but I think I broke it.
If so then... oops.
I give up on completing my quest, time to practice more magic.
But I had this uncomfortable feeling for a few minutes now, I'm actually starting to get nervous.

Despite the protests of the rational part of my mind, I run out of the dungeon and sprint back to the hotel.
I run
I finally remember
I run even faster.
[The skill [Sprint] has been acquired]
Due to my previously abyssal comprehension, I forgot.
When I hired the 3 hunters, they made me sign a document. I thought the document was for legal reasons but it wasn't. It was supposed to notify me if they get in danger.
The annoying feeling was their distress signal.
I have been avoiding their distress call for about 30 minutes.
Please be okay.
I can only hope and curse at my own stupidity.
***
"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT FUCKER DOING?" A man in a metal armor yells. He had a nasty wound on his chest that spewed blood, staining his armor and clothes in a deep crimson color.
"Maybe the contract is not working?" A man in a robe replied. He was considerably wounded too.
"Stop arguing and find a way to live!" A red haired woman said to both of them. She was the leader and the most wounded.
The reason for their miserable state was because of 3 people in front of them and the 3 people behind them.
They were hired to keep the 3 safe but it seems they are going to die with them tonight.
The 3 people in front of them all had red hair and wore red clothes. It did not take a genius to figure out that they were affiliated with a group, a gang perhaps.
One of them wielded 2 daggers that were stained with blood, the other a staff and the 3rd had a longsword.
With an evil smirk, the assassin leaps forward with speed that he didn't display before, he stabbed his daggers into the armored man's neck, killing him. Then he jumps at the man in a robe, cutting his legs and stomped his head, turning it into a meat paste.
"FUCK YOU" the woman had finally lost her composure and leaps at the assassin.
However, the mage blasts her back with a paralysis skill, making her immobile.
She could only watch in horror as the assassin and the swordsman approach her with clearly not so good intentions.
Then all she could see was red.
