Blackbeard used his darkness abilities to try to swallow the arc, but it was too powerful for his ability to swallow.
80 percent of the arc was nullified by the darkness, but the remaining percent completely destroyed the building they were standing ontop of.
"How scary." One of the Blackbeard pirates chuckled.
Everyone in Marineford, didn't dare to move. Whitebeard could still make such moves with a gaping hole in his chest... Was he even human?
As for Whitebeard, he looked around, he felt it, his strength was leaving him, he gazed up towards the sky once again as a grin overtook his lips.
"Teach, soon you'll meet the man that defeated me, the one that has become the strongest Man alive." Whitebeard declared with a big grin. All eyes widened as they looked around, not believing what they've heard. Someone defeated this beast by himself?
Who could defeat this monster? And he was on his way? A lot of marine started shivering because of those words. All the higher ups started frowning... Someone that defeated Whitebeard?
"SENGOKU, ALL OF YOU, THE WORLD-GOVERNMENT!" His words echoed, gaining the full attention for the world. All the den den mushi that recorded the historical battle, focused on him.
"A Grand battle that will engulf the whole world will come, when someone finds it... The ONE PIECE, IT EXISTS!" Whitebeards shouted, shaking the whole Marineford and everyone who heard those words
The One Piece has not been found since the last Pirate King and people had started regarding it as a myth. But Whitebeard just confirmed it's existence.
"YOU BASTARD!" Sengoku furiously shouted.
Whitebeard took a last look at his sons, but this time he felt relief, he had felt it, the presence that was on its way.
This way, his crew wouldn't have to die.
'Forgive me my sons, your father has been defeated by this despicable force.' Whitebeard thought as his his energy left this body.
He stood tall while holding his Naginata.
The the whole Marineford became silent a they looked at the man that held up an era on his own.
Even now, it was as if his body was full of strength, that's why most people still believed that he was alive, only those with Observation Haki felt it, his last ounce of life disappearing.

"POPS!" The Whitebeard pirates started crying out. This battle had cost them too much.
Edward Newgate, Whitebeard was more than a captain to them. He had adopted them when they were lost and had no one. He had trained them and given them new life. He was their father...
All of the Whitebeard Pirates started crying, refusing to accept what was in front of their eyes.
Blackbeard Pirates hurried to Whitebeard's side as they were close by.
They hurriedly covered Whitbeards body, and guarded it as Blackbeard also went inside the covers and used his devil fruit ability.
"What's he doing? Stop him?" Both marines and Whitebeard pirates got worried, they had a bad feeling about this.
The Marines and Pirates tried stopping whatever he was doing but the Blackbeard Pirates stopped them in their tracks.
It didn't take a long time before Blackbeard showed himself again.
"BASTARD WHAT DID YOU DO TO POPS?!" A Whitebeard Pirate shouted angrily.
"ZEHAHAHA Marines, I will show you what my 'power' really is, which means you will become my enemies once more!" He laughed as he raised on of his palms, creating a black hole that seemed eeerily hungry to swallow the world. "BLACK HOLE" He shouted.
And then he bent down, turning his other arm to the side, as if ready to destroy very fabric of space. This stance was very familiar to everyone, as Whitebeard had taken this stance right before he created tremors that could destroy the world.
"THAT STANCE!" Many became shaken in unbelief as they saw him take that stance.
"This is the real ability of YAMI YAMI NO MI ZEHAHAHA!" He laughed further as he punched the very air, creating gigantic cracks in space.
Sengoku felt his stress levels rise, he had finally ridden the world of this destructive power, yet right after Whitebeard's death, he sees it being used once again.
All the Marines, and even the Whitebeard Pirates looked on with pale faces and restrained chests as the whole Marineford started shaking and many building fell apart from Blackbeard's attack.
"ZEHAHAHA DARKNESS THAT RETURNS EVERYTBING TO NOTHING, AND POWER OF TREMORS THAT DESTROY EVERYTHING, ITS ALL IN MY HANDS NOW, I AM INVINCIBLE!!!!" Blackbeard shouted loudly as he held the power of darkness in one hand and the power of earthquakes in the other.
Everyone witnessed how a man had gone from one of the most dangerous pirates, to the one that is likely to be the most dangerous, in just a few moments.
"Having two devil fruit abilities... Is supposed to be impossible..." Jozu, the third division commander whispered in hopelessness as he had witnessed the death of his father and then his father's devil fruit being stolen by the traitor.
Sengoku felt that he had killed a tiger and allowed a lion to come in Its stead.
This war was mainly to win favour of the world and halt the momentum of pirates. And it was also to relieve the marines of Whitebeard, but now, another pirate took his place, and he might be even more chaotic.
"Tsk." Akainu felt his blood boil as smoke started rising from him.
Everyone seemed aghast at the events that had taken place.
Marco was still in his cuffs, as he looked up with dead eyes. Somehow, the sky was blue, and the sun was shining with few clouds.
It would've been a beautiful day to enjoy with the crew, yet such a beautiful day is paradoxically also very ugly.
Marco suddenly frowned as he saw something in the sky... That seemed like a ship. It slowly descended towards them.
'Black Pearl?' Marcos eyes widened as he recognised the flying ship.
"DID YOU SEE THAT, BASTARDS?" Blackbeard's voice reverted throughout Marineford, filled with pride as he had showcased his power. He stood surrounded by his crewmates, each of their own could shake the sea.
"ZEHAHAHA, GO ON AND TELL THE WORLD, EACH AND EVRYONE OF THOSE BORING, PEACE-LIVING COMMONERS!!! THE MARINES!!! THE WORLD GOVERNMENT!!! THE PIRATES, THE FUTURE OF THIS WORLD HAS BEEN DECIDED, FROM THIS POINT ONWARDS..." Blackbeard shouted as his gaze went past everyone and landed on Sengoku.
"IT'S MY AGE, THE AGE OF BLACKBEARD ZEHAHAHA!!!" Blackbeard announced to everyone. And his power and the power of his crew held everyone back from attacking them. And the shock of everything that had transpired left everyone hopeless.

"That Depends On Wether I Allow It Or Not." Suddenly a youthful, yet powerful voice echoed from the sky.
Everyone was awoken from their stupor as they looked up, and saw a black ship sailing in the sky, like ships usually don't do.
"A ghost ship..."
