Xavier finally caught his breath, feeling a rush of excitement after the intense battle. Throughout the entire fight, he had been worried about the outcome. However, in the end, it turned out well as he emerged victorious, earning 1500 pokecoins as a reward.
After the battle, he promptly headed to the nearest Pokémon Center to get his Pokémon healed.
After resting for an hour, Xavier set out once again, determined to catch an Abra. He had a strong feeling that there must be an Abra nearby, especially after encountering Blue's Abra earlier.
He believed that Abra's Teleport move would be crucial for his safety and also aid him in his investigation once he returned to the real world.
As he climbed onto the bridge, he noticed several NPCs standing there, ready for battle. Taking a deep breath, Xavier activated his Inspect ability and began battling each NPC one by one.
After an hour of continuous battling, he successfully made his way to the other side of the bridge.
The following day, Xavier eagerly embarked on his journey to Route 25, located to the north of Cerulean City, determined to continue his search for Abra. Armed with his trusty Inspect ability, he carefully scanned his surroundings in the hope of spotting the elusive Pokémon.
For hours, he meticulously explored every nook and cranny of the area, paying special attention to hidden spots where Abra might be hiding. Despite his dedication, Abra remained out of sight, leaving him somewhat disappointed.
However, Xavier's efforts were not in vain. As he scoured the route, he stumbled upon an unexpected treasure—a TM: Thunder Wave. His excitement surged as he recognized the value of this find. Thunder Wave was a versatile move that could paralyze opponents and decrease speed by 50%, providing a strategic advantage in battles. With a smile, he carefully stored the TM in his bag, knowing it would come in handy in future battles.
Though he hadn't yet encountered Abra, Xavier remained undeterred. The allure of having a Pokémon with the Teleport ability was too enticing to ignore. He decided to return to the city for the day, allowing himself some rest and strategizing for the following day's mission.
Early the next morning, Xavier was back on Route 25, his determination renewed. He resumed battling the remaining NPCs, determined to defeat them all. Each battle presented unique challenges, but his skilled team of Pokémon, led by Mankey and Nidorino, emerged victorious each time.
As he battled, Xavier kept a watchful eye on his surroundings, hoping to spot any sign of Abra. The sun climbed higher in the sky as he continued his search. Hours passed, and the weight of disappointment tried to creep in, but Xavier remained steadfast. He knew that patience was key when searching for rare Pokémon.
Currently, Mankey had reached level 26, and Nidorino was close behind at level 23. Xavier noticed that Mankey was on the verge of evolution, but he chose to hold off on Nidorino's evolution until after he won the Cerulean Gym badge. The reason was that Nidorino's evolution into Nidoking would make it a Poison/Ground type, and Ground types were weak against Water type Pokémon—the type typically found in Cerulean Gym battles.
With only two days remaining to find Abra, Xavier was determined to give it his all.
Throughout the day, he dedicated himself to the search, combing the area with unwavering focus. From early morning until evening, he meticulously scanned every corner, hoping to spot the elusive psychic Pokémon. Despite his diligence, Abra remained elusive, and as the sun set, Xavier had to admit defeat for the day.
Feeling dejected, he reluctantly decided to return to Cerulean City, hoping that the following day would bring better luck. As he walked back, he couldn't help but feel a mixture of determination and frustration. Time was slipping away, and the mystery he sought to uncover seemed to slip further from his grasp.
Nonetheless, Xavier refused to give up. The next day would be his final chance to find Abra before returning to the real world. With a renewed sense of purpose, he resolved to put forth even greater effort, knowing that every moment counted.
The night passed with anticipation and anxiety, but as the dawn broke, Xavier's resolve remained unshaken.
