Chương 384: Western Front: Successful Breach
(Third Person POV)
Jason lunged forward at Brandish, thrusting his spear at her.
"Millionth Sun: Scorching Pierce"
Brandish was able to jump away in time to see a massive beam of golden light hit the spot where she stood and cause a massive explosion.
"What's this.." Brandish said, "I couldn't manipulate that light's mass..."
"I figured." Jason said appearing next to her, "Of all things, light is one of the things you can't manipulate, eh?"
He then swung his spear, striking at Brandish who tried to guard. The light of the blade caused Brandish to reel back as she looked at her forearms, which were smoking slightly.
"This light..." She said, "It's far more potent than the Celestial Spirit's..."
"The light of Millionth Sun burns away at all evil." Jason said as he readied a stance, "It's not a light that you can guard against so easily."
Brandish looked at him, "Evil huh?"
Suddenly, she dodged several projectiles that were shot at her. She looked past Jason and saw that Lucy was holding a bow, wearing a different outfit as Sagittarius was standing next to her.
"Star-Dress: Sagittarius Form"
"I'll support from the back, Jason!" Lucy said
Jason nodded as he released more magic power, a bright golden light emitting from his armor.
"This armor is the perfect combination with the Holy Spear." Jason said, "It allows me to use magic from different forms in conjunction. Which means that I can use the speed of Silfarion with the light of Millionth Sun."
"Millionth SunxSilfarion: "
Jason suddenly disappeared as Brandish braced herself. She watched as multiple images of Jason appeared around her, running around her in a circle. She was able to tell that he was covered in a strange white aura as he wielded the light spear.
"What now?" She said as she began to release an aura, "I'll blow you away..."
She then dodged several more projectiles, more of Lucy and Sagittarius's arrows as one of them was able to graze them.
As this happened, all images of Jason lunged at her towards the single point.
"Sunfire's Apex Point"
Brandish was hit by multiple spear thrusts made out of pure light which pushed her into a single point as she was engulfed in a massive explosion of golden light.
"Aggh!" She shouted out in pain
The explosion sent her flying back, crashing on the ground as her left side was completely charred, with several bruises and cuts that were bleeding.
Jason jumped back as he readied his spear.
"This is it..." He said, "Lucy! Your whip! Use it! Keep her in one point while I put her out!"
Brandish was able to get up as she glared at Jason, "I won't let you!!!" She growled
She was then hit by Lucy's Celestial Whip, striking her in the face and sending her reeling back as she coughed up blood.
Jason then lunged at her as Brandish was entangled in Lucy's whip.
"I have her!" Lucy yelled, "Hurry!!"
As Jason appeared in front of Brandish, who was still stunned by the whip strike, his spear and armor suddenly disappeared in an instant as he readied a stance, rearing his right arm back while releasing an aura.
"Magic and Mind Sealing Fist"
In an instant, Jason struck at Brandish with two rapid straight punches. One struck her in her solar plexus and the other struck her on her forehead. As soon as he did this, Lucy let go of the whip, the grasp being broken. Brandish was then sent flying back as she landed on the ground. Jason saw as she wasn't moving, the attack was successful.
Lucy fell to her knees, "Ah!" She said
Sagittarius crouched down, "Lucy-sama!" He said, "Are you alright?"
"I'm okay..." She said, "I-Is it over?"
Jason walked over Brandish's unmoving body, "Hm..." He said
Brandish's eyes were closed; she was rendered unconscious by Jason's attack. He wasn't sure if it was going to actually work on her since she was so strong but he had to try. This was the first time in a long time he had used that technique and he wasn't sure how long the effect's will last.
Jason snapped his fingers, summoning a pair of magic sealing hand-cuffs out of thin air.
He then crouched down and placed the handcuffs on Brandish's hands behind her back.
"Okay..." He said
Lucy walked up to him, Sagittarius walking behind her, "Jason." She said, "Is she..."
Jason looked at her, "I used Magic and Mind Sealing Fist on her." He said, "She's out. But I don't know for how long."
Jason then picked Brandish up and flung her over his shoulder. Lucy saw her unconscious face, noticing some blood on her forehead.
"I see.." She said, "And what are you going to do with her?"
"We're taking her prisoner." Jason said, "We can use her as a bargaining chip maybe, not too sure. Why? You wanna kill her?"
"W-What?" Lucy said with a surprised face, "No!"
He nodded, "Good." He said, "Cause I didn't plan on it. I think there's something you two ought to talk about, though."
Lucy looked at him with a confused face, "Eh?"
Jason took a step forward and then he looked up to see Wendy being carried by Happy, she was clutching her left arm as she had blood on her forehead.
"Wendy!" He said, "You okay?!"
Happy landed her on the ground. Jason saw that Carla was still driving the airship and was hovering above them.
Lucy crouched down next to Wendy who was on her knees and panting.
"I'm sorry, Jason-san..." Wendy said while she panted, "I did as you told me, I was hitting them with ranged attacks, trying to keep them from advancing...but that man, he didn't let me continue..."
Jason narrowed his eyes, "Shit.." He said, "Invel..."
She looked up at Jason, "I'm so sorry..." She said as tears formed in her eyes, "All of them, the whole arm...."
"They made it through."
