(Jason's POV)
"Minerva, eh?" I said as I sat on a chair, "She's the new Master…"
I was at the restaurant where I was told to meet Sabertooth at. I was still in Crocus, a day after Lucy and I had a quickie in the woods.
I fucked her nice and good before Natsu reached us. They said they were going to rendezvous with the rest of the team at a town near the capital. Then, they'll return to the capital for something.
Seilah and Kyoka stood behind me. Seilah wore her standard blue kimono. I decided to let her wear that for now because it showed skin. And i really like seeing her wear sexy outfits.
Kyoka wore cargo pants and boots with a black tank top. She looked hella fine and she said the clothes were comfortable.
Either way, my servants were mad fine.
"Why're they making us wait?" Kyoka said, "This is such a disrespectful thing to do…"
"Relax, Kyoka." I said, "Let them take their time."
Suddenly, as on cue, I watched as a group walked in.
Leading them was Minerva Orland, Sabertooth's Master. She wore a black dress and her hair was tied up with her two trademark loops.
Behind her, Sting and Rogue walked. They both looked at me with serious expressions. I could tell they were still sour about the whole thing. Behind those two, I saw Yukino walking alongside Orga and Rufus.
Minerva reached the table and sat down on the chair across from me. She crossed her legs and arms as she gave looked at me. The rest of the lot merely stood behind her. It reminded me of those movies where the mafia boss sat at a table with the gang standing behind him.
"So..." Minerva said, "You're him? The one they call Jason."
I nodded, "Yea." I said, "That's me. And you must be the Master of Sabertooth, huh? Minerva Orland...."
Minerva looked at Kyoka and Seilah behind me. She had a very expression on her face. Something told me she wasn't a fan of them there.
"And these two..." She said, "Are they going to cause trouble?"
"No." I said
"Are you sure?" She asked
"If Jason-sama says no, then the answer is no." Seilah spoke up
"Oi, nobody asked you to talk!!" Sting snapped at her, "Why don't-"
Sting shut up as soon as Minerva raised her hand, gesturing him to stop.
I smiled slightly, "Seilah is right." I said, "If I say no, then the answer is no. These two will not cause you any trouble as long as I say so. But enough about them, I want to know why you called me here."
Minerva looked at me, "Enough about them?" She asked, "I am sorry, but it is not enough. The reason why I asked to meet with you is because I want to hear from your mouth."
"Hear what?" she said
"What side are you on?" She said dead serious, "You walk with two demons. Demons formerly affiliated with Tartaros. And in case you don't know, Tartaros attacked our guild, hurt our members, captured some, and killed my Father."
I sighed, "Yes, that is the case." I said rubbing my neck, "And to answer your question, I am not on Tartaros' side. I am on your side, so to speak."
Minerva shook her head, "I doubt it." She said, "You fought and defeated two of the Nine Demon Gates and spared them. Not only that, you 'made' them your servants. Your motives are unknown, Jason. Kagura also shares the same feeling. She doesn't trust you at all."
I shrugged, "And?"
She gave me a serious glare, "You must understand the situation we're in.." She said, "This is War. We're at War. Sabertooth will ally with Fairy Tail and Mermaid Heel in order to fight and crush Tartaros. Because of that, I must know right here and now if I must crush you alongside them."
I looked at them. They all had a very serious aura to them. They really did mean business. They weren't joking around here.
I let out a sigh, "Kyoka."
Kyoka took a step forward and cleared her throat.
"My actions aside, I mean you no harm." She said, "As a way to prove that, I will tell you what Tartaros has planned so far. The reasoning behind the attacks and what they intend to do."
Minerva looked at her, "And how would I know if what comes out of your mouth is true?" She asked, "I cannot trust a Demon."
"I don't care if you believe me or not." Kyoka said, "It is the truth. I will not lie."
"Either way..." I said, "It doesn't change the fact that I am not on Tartaros' side. Tell them, Kyoka."
Kyoka nodded, "Tartaros is currently weakened." She said
Minerva frowned, "What do you mean weakened?" She said, "Their power is still great enough to cripple three guilds..."
"I don't know about cripple.." I said
"Not too long ago, an event happened." Kyoka said, "I don't know the exact details of how and why it happened, but what it caused was something we never expected. The entirety of the guild was weakened by it. Our strength was halved. So even when we encountered and fought Jason, we weren't at our full strength."
Minerva widened her eyes as the rest of her guildmates murmured amongst themselves.
"Only our current leader and one of the Nine Demon Gates were unaffected." She continued, "Mard Geer devised a plan to try and refuel our power. Tartaros was to retrieve several humans with strong magic power in order to demonize. There were a couple of reasons why he wanted to do this. One was to fuel the rest of the Demons and return them to their full power. Another was to get strong combatants and add them to our forces. Mard Geer also mentioned a third reason but he didn't go into full details about it."
Minerva looked at her with a shocked face, "S-so...all this was to try to restore them to their full strength?"
Kyoka nodded, "Yes." She said, "Even now, Seilah and I are still weakened. The only members of Tartaros that are still in their original power are Mard Geer and Silver."
I nodded, "There you have it." I said, "I also know that the reason the cats aren't with the Dragon Slayers is because the village of Exceeds was attacked by forces of Tartaros. I assume they considered the cats as a valuable power source. Happy and Lily went to help out with the damages and so did Lector and Frosch. Only the white one stayed with her Dragon Slayer."
Sting and Rogue scowled at the mere mention of this.
I crossed my arms, "So that's the plan." I said, "I don't know what the third reason they have for capturing mages is, but I can assume it ain't pretty."
Minerva gave me a serious look, "So..." She said, "I'll ask again...Whose side are you on?"
I gave her a slight smirk, "Truth be told. I am on my own side." I said, "I don't wish to be bound by any guild and their problems. But I can't really help it in this case."
"I'll crush Tartaros."
