“Summon! Summon!” Tan’s opponent was the first to activate his cards. Two monsters appeared. They both were Wild Animal-race monsters, a 5-star Sabre-toothed Tiger and a 6-star Fire Tiger.

A tiger that had long, curved canine teeth appeared first. It had short light-brown fur covered around its body. The tiger jumped around quickly and roared after entering the battlefield. As the tiger roared, another monster appeared. It was a tiger that had flame covering its body and its teeth. Its eyes were bright red. The fire tiger exhaled soot from burning and looked at Tan before giving out a threatening roar.
“I am…screwed. Don’t come close…! Give me a second!” Tan shouted as he saw the monsters. If he was directly attacked by them, he would lose a lot of HP. Tan quickly checked his skills and prayed that they did not get swapped with Blanche’s too because he had no idea what they were…
It seemed like luck was still on his side as he still had his own skills. “Lucky…” Tan said and activated his skill.
“Speed Boost!” He used the skill to boost his Speed. At least, it could help him get away from the two monsters in front of him. Tan ran around with the help of his increasing speed, but it was not too long before the fire tiger performed its move.
“Forest Fire!” The system announced the tiger’s move. A burning firewall flew towards Tan. It was so big that he was unable to escape it and was stricken...
“550!”
He lost around 15% of his HP from the previous attack. “This doesn’t look good,” Tan said and summoned two monsters.
“Summon! Summon!”
Tan summoned two 5-star monsters, Cursed Knights. They were 5-star cards that he gave to Blanche. He did not know why Blanche put a card with no effect like this to his deck.

After the two cards were activated, two knights in silver armor appeared. Inside the armors were shadows; their hands grabbed on blood-colored swords…It was a sword that they used to kill their allies when they were still alive.
“757!” “841!”
“752!” “849!”
“754!” “852!”
The two knights separately took on each of the opponent’s monsters. After they finished with their attack, the opponent activated a Magic Card.
“Magic!”
After the voice rang out, a green aura began to spread around the two tigers. When the aura shone brightly, the two monsters performed a special move.
“Twin Fang!”
The system announced the name of their move as the two tigers rushed towards the Cursed Knight while still having the aura on its body.
“770!” “711!” “779!” “706!”
“771!” “713!” “777!” “720!”
“724!” “747!” “745!” “787!”
“735!” “733!” “796!” “721!”
The damage dealt appeared without stopping like the water from a fountain. Tan’s monsters were executed into spheres of light.

“This is too much…!” Tan said as he saw the scene unfold.
“Equip! Equip!” That was not Tan’s voice, but Bolt’s. His opponent had activated two Equip Cards, a 6-star Sky Blue Wolf Armor, and a 5-star Gigantes Crossbow.
5-star…like a fast-food brand, Five Star Chicken…

Bolt was equipped with armor that had a wolf head on the shoulder. Its blue color made Tan feel dominated for some reason. He also had a giant weapon in his hand; it was so huge that he had to hold it with both of his hands…and it was Gigantes Crossbow.
He attacked Tan as soon as he was equipped with the crossbow.
“352!”
“347!”
“342!”
Every bolt hit its target. Tan had received multiple damages…
“Darn it…looks like he’s not going to make it,” Nicki who was watching the battle from the outside of the battlefield said as she saw Tan’s HP getting lower to a critical stage.
“Master Tan…” Eize was worried about him. She raised her hands to cover her eyes.
“Relax, I don’t think he would lose that easily.” Blanche still had high hope for his friend.
“This is bad. If he attacks me again, I will die for sure,” Tan said as he ran for his life while looking at his skills and the remaining cards. With his current MP, he could activate just one card.
Tan looked at his skills. “I have no choice but to use Level Breaker…” He spoke. Tan knew that he had a fifty-percent chance to turn the tide over after using Level Breaker, but there was a price to pay; in the next round of the competition, he would cause his team to be at a disadvantage for how he lost five levels. However, it was better than losing five-level and losing a point for his team.
“There’s no other choice…” Tan was about to activate Level Breaker but then paused after seeing a card drawn.
The card that contained two words
Area…
Avatar…
----------------
ª Black Forest ª (Area H)
----------------
Type: Area Card
----------------

----------------
Tan read the descriptions and conditions to activate the card while checking his stats. He realized that he could activate the card. “Blanche transformed into a knight with wooden armor. His hands became swords. Am I going to transform into that too?”
When he was done questioning, he did as his instinct told him to. Tan raised the card in the air and activated the card which was his only hope.
“Area!”
Hearing the word, the audience was sent in shock. A strong wind blew into the colosseum as Tan’s body, which stood 5.7 feet tall, was covered with light and started to transform. He was transforming but not into the same Avatar as Blanche…
Wood entwined and covered Tan’s body, forming a human shape that stood about sixteen feet. Its head was covered with a heraldic helm which was made of wood; its eyes socket were big holes shone with dark green light. Wings made of entwining vines spread out of the wooden body’s back. His left hand transformed into a bow constructed from three roots. Seven arrows appeared when he pulled the arrow.
“What?! He has an Area Card?!”
