Chương 6: Thoughts
Kai then started talking once more to Kevin. Instead of hiding it like most people would likely do, Kai decided to tell the truth, in a more quiet environment.
After eating, they both went to Kai's place for a while and Kai started explaining to him this weird incident and how he had to head back to the simulation. Kevin was confused upon hearing this and laughed at Kai thinking that it was just a prank.
One was insisting that it was true, while the other think it was bullshit.
"Would you just listen to me for once?" Kai asked,
Kevin said his thought, "Come on Kai, what kind of dumbass would fall for this. You think you were in the Naruto world forreals? and that you can see a blue display floating in real life? Get real man, it's all a dream!"
Kai was frustrated, and he said, "You know what, screw this look at this man. That candy you saw appeared out of nothing, it claims that I can use the Sharingan for 10 minutes. You're a decent martial artist right? You'd always at least hit me in a spar?? I'll eat the candy and I assure you, you won't be able to touch me in the slightest!"
Kevin laughed and nodded, "Come on Kai, although you're bigger than me, I can at least touch you in a spar. Fine, I'll trust you if you can do that!"
"Alright!" Kai responded, while eating the candy.
Slowly, Kai felt his eyes vision changed. "Come here you dumbass!" Kai said
Kevin was slightly surprised, Kai's eye really did change into the pattern of the sharingan.
'Gulp' Kevin was slightly concerned.
However, he then said, "Come on, what is this eye lens bs you're doing to me!" and he went to hit Kai.
It connected. And Kai's nose slightly bled. Kevin started laughing, "AHAHA ready to admit your prank now?"
"Ugh" , Kai was hurt. He realised that unlike before with Itachi's ability, he himself was not adjusted to the sharingan that well. He could see the projections of attack but he was not adaptive enough to react to it.
"Come and attack me again!" Kai said, this time focusing even harder.
"Alright, you asked for it", Kevin said.
Kevin threw a right hook, and Kai dodged it. Kevin threw an upper hook, and Kai dodged it. This sequence kept repeating for a couple minutes until both were tired.
'Huuf' 'Huuf', both were tired and Kevin admitted. "Alright your combat power have improved... but it doesn't mean anything.."
Kai then looked at Kevin. Kevin, not knowing anything, looked straight at Kai's sharingan...
Kevin was parlaysed, he could not move even if he wanted to. To him, it was normal at first, with Kai in front of him. However, windows started breaking and the door to the flat was broken down. Kevin then saw figures.. Figures of dead men coming to him through the windows and door, They were quickly rushing on all four of their joints as though they were spiders, and crawled towards Kevin. It was more accurate to see them as zombies. These humanoid started biting Kevin and crawling all over his body. Kevin started screaming...
The scenery then shifted, and he would be sitting on a table, looking at a document. Behind him, a figure started approaching Kevin and lightly tapped at his shoulder.
Shortly after this scene, Kevin snapped out of it. He was sweating coldly and could not say anything for a while. However, he saw Kai smiling.
Kevin looked at him, "What did you do to me..?"
Kai simply said, "A genjutsu of your worst nightmare." Kai said while laughing.
*Phew* "So you're not lying..." Kevin said, slowly recovering from that nightmare of his.
"No, I'm not..." Kai answered.
"How did this even happen.. geez, so you have no choice but to enter this simulation in... 10 hours?", Kevin asked while checking for the time.
"Yes, what do you think I should do?" Kai asked him back.
"For now, there isn't much you can do is there... You can only go back to that simulation.."
...
..
.
Without realising, they've been talking and discussing some possible theories and quickly, the time to the simulation is arriving. Kevin said, "Good luck Kai, don't die." he said seriously.
Kai nodded as he looked at the time before his consciousness fades once more..
"Welcome to the Simulation..."
