"I know the former owner of Chinchol Manor. But I haven't seen the new owner. He's very mysterious."
Hearing Amelia had appeared in Chinchol Manor, Bella began to plan something for Chinchol Manor.
The boss was mysterious, so she had to ask others to do it.
...
"How are you? Tired?"
"No."
Ethan seriously looked at Amelia. As her boss and the president of this company, he was satisfied with her working attitude. But in his eyes, she was his wife worthy of loving.
So Ethan naturally treated Amelia with more consideration and tenderness.
Amelia organized the data, smiled, and got up to walk to him.
"I've learned a lot these days. But I don't know when I'll be able to handle the cases."
She said as she walked out of the office. When she went downstairs, she saw Mike and a woman. Ethan felt strange, but he did not intend to get involved. Employees should have their own privacies.
Mike, however, saw Amelia and Ethan coming from a distance and cried out, "Help."
A man was molested by a woman?
They stopped and looked at Mike in confusion. The woman glared at them and said fiercely, "Don't step in."
Step in? Hell no, they were just standing and watching.
But Mike and Ethan were friends. Ethan would not sit back. Amelia said then, "Calm down. Don't push him."
"Push him? I'm his wife. What's it to you?"
The woman showed no weakness, stared at Amelia, still pulled Mike, and didn't let him go.
What? This was too weird.
Amelia looked in disbelief at Ethan and then directed her gaze to Mike, hoping to figure it out.
Ethan didn't say anything and take Amelia away directly.
Amelia felt stranger, "Do we walk away like this?" She kept looking back at Mike.
After they walked for some distance, Ethan stopped and sighed, "If he can't handle a woman, what's the point?"
"Didn't you see that woman keep pestering him? He might have some trouble. Is she really his wife?"
Amelia looked at Ethan strangely and felt puzzled.
Mike was the secretary of the president and handsome. How could he have such a wife?
"Never mind him. Let's go."
Ethan didn't say anything. With an impatient look on his cool face, he walked straight to the parking lot.
Why? Wasn't Mike his friend?
Mike was tangled, but Ethan ignored. Amelia hesitated to help Mike or followed Ethan. Finally, she caught up with Ethan.
Sitting in the car, she had been uneasy. It seemed that the woman and Mike were still in her sight.
...
"What's the matter? Where's Bel? She hasn't been to work all the morning."
Charles asked anxiously and looked at Delilah when he got home.
Delilah froze and sneered, "How could I know? You can call and ask her."
She threw a look at Charles and walked up the stairs with careless and unhurried steps.
Charles looked at her back with disgust. Without saying a word, he went directly to his study.
In Chinchol Manor, Bella had been sitting in a hidden position, observing the people coming and going, and hoping to see Amelia.
"I believe I can catch you."
Unwillingly, Bella took a sip of orange juice from the table. But she was too upset, so she put it back on the table.
It was almost noon. Should I wait any longer?
She stood up to look at the passing crowd and looked out the window. She didn't see Amelia.
Amelia carried her bag disappointedly and walked toward the exit. When Amelia got to her car, she once more looked back for a while and then had to get in.
"Where are we heading?"
"Have the meal."
Observing the direction of the car, Amelia recognized it was the way toward Chinchol Manor.
They parked the car and then went inside together.
"You go to the box, and I'll order first."
Amelia nodded and went to the regular box. Strangely enough, the box was empty. She thought it might be because Ethan ordered it in advance.
"Welcome, Mr. Frost."
The man who was in charge of Chinchol Manor was Hodgkin. He was very close to Ethan but did not often meet with Ethan. Hodgkin worked carefully. In Ethan's eyes, Hodgkin was most suitable to manage here.
"I saw your message. Someone was asking about the owner of Chinchol Manor, who's it?"
Ethan's voice was very intimidating. He looked serious.
"It's a woman dressed well. You can take a look at her in the surveillance."
A woman?
Ethan went to the surveillance and recognized her immediately.
Bella? Why did she ask about the owner of Chinchol Manor?
"What else did she ask?"
Ethan looked at Hodgkin and listened curiously and carefully.
"And she asked if a woman came here."
After hearing this, Ethan frowned slightly. After a while, he asked, "Was she asking about the girl who came with me?"
Hodgkin nodded, "Yeah, she also showed us a picture. It was Amelia on the picture."
What did Bella know? Did she know who Chinchol Manor's boss was and his relationship with Amelia?
Ethan froze for a moment. Then he asked warily, "How did you deal with her?"
"I told her I hadn't noticed 'cause there were too many guests."
Hodgkin observed Ethan's expression and became tense. Ethan had a bad temper, and Hodgkin couldn't predict when Ethan would lose his temper. So Hodgkin had to be careful about what he said and did.
Ethan nodded gently. If Hodgkin said he had seen her, he would be questioned. If said no, it was obviously sounded fishy.
"If she comes again and asks the same question, just tell her you're the owner here."
Ethan looked at Hodgkin and said carefully. Hodgkin nodded, knowing that this woman would be difficult to deal with.
"Okay, I see."
"Bring some dishes there. I'll go first."
It seemed that something was up Bella's sleeve. But what did she know?
Ethan felt like it was necessary to have someone to look into it.
"What took you so long?"
"The line is quite long here."
Amelia gently smiled and did not go further. Chinchol Manor was indeed bustling with people.
"These are all the dishes you love. Have more. Starting from scratch is no easy-peasy, you know."
